I do have one warning: the parking spaces are very narrow and I was very nervous about getting dinged by the cars on either side. But this is not the fault of the restaurant, so I'm going with 5 stars.I have now eaten there 3 times. The first time, my party ordered almost all Indian food. It was fine, but I wanted to try their Nepalese dishes, so I went again with a different group (7 of us altogether, so we had a nice selection). It was frankly very difficult to get 3 of those to agree to come. They had eaten just after the place had opened and were extremely disappointed, vowing never to return. But they absolutely loved it this time, so maybe there were some initial hiccups, but they have perfected it since then.I have liked all the mo mo dishes I've tried (both vegetarian & chicken), but I've preferred the chili fried and the half-fried variations. Their cauliflower appetizer is really good. I tried two of the Nepalese curries. I did like one a little better than the other, but I can't remember which one and they were both good. LOL (Okay...another minor complaint is that their take out menu is printed on dark paper. I always like to take notes on take out menus, so I remember what is especially good, but can't write on this dark paper. It's an attractive menu...just not helpful for what I wanted to do with it.) Also, the owner (Moona) is really nice.

So the place was okay. My table was lowkey ignored because my parents did have to get the attention of the servers more often than other tables. Especially when we first came in it was dead. One table was already leaving and the another table had already ordered their food. So we were the third table but only table that needed to order. I'll be honest I don't have proof of this and this is subjective, but I felt as if my table was ignored because we were the only brown family there. The guy was busy with other table but the lady was so dismissive of our table at times and ignored us to go pick up dishes at the table that just left. (And I'm not putting this towards my low rating, my rating is solely based on the food). As someone who works in a service industry, I understand going on your phone when it's dead but not when there are customers there. Now the food tastes okay. We ordered the tandoori platter and it was not worth it since the chicken boti was dry, and the shrimp was sad. Especially for the price. The dosa was also so wrong. They used the chicken from the tandoori platter. Traditional dosa doesn't have that, I wouldn't have minded the twist but the fact that our tandoori platter was lacking the chicken boti made us realize exactly where it was. We didn't complain about it since the chicken boti was just dry.The chicken 65 was $10, which meant one piece was $1 because we received 10 cubes of chicken. Btw the piece was smaller than toddlers fist so it wasn't like too big to justify the price. Attached is a picture I took of the biryani, and that was $17. You'd think the price of biryani was justified until I tell you there was three pieces of chicken in there. My family paid about $105 and we literally didn't take any leftovers, not because the food was good but because the portion was so fricking small. Most pieces were less than 10 pieces. Such as pakora, tandoori platter, chicken 65.Now I don't mind small portions but with the price tag attached to it, it's just not worth it. Especially with the taste of the food which isn't that great. It's like you can eat it and be okay with the taste and know that you won't die of salmonella. I think this place has hype because people don't have much exposure to other local Indian cuisines surrounding Arden. For example there is Priya Indian Cuisine that has a price that matches the quantity you get and it's right on Arden also. Or maybe you're by Northgate so you can try Desi Curry that just opened or Shalimar at Natomas on the other side of the freeway. Maybe you're on DoorDash, you can try chaat Kafe. Or maybe you want Asian food by Arden then you could possible go to Tasty Thai a few minutes away from Sacramandu. The thing is, there is better options in category of quality, portions, and price than Sacramandu. And the only reason it's justifiable to eat here is if everything around you is closed (which isn't true because they have pretty normal hours) or your palette surrounding Indian cuisine is very new. Overall, It's just not worth it to come here for an experience that isn't positive and sub optimal. The reason why I'm giving it a two star and not 1 because it wasn't trash tbh. It was a level above trash which is okay. Also this happened in November.

I have been going to Kaveri for a decade plus, so when it changed to Namaste Sacramandu I was skeptical. I have to admit it's just as good if not better. I would rate the food slightly higher quality that Kaveri had been which was pretty good.Go there you will not be disappointed

The food here is amazing. Service was perfect. I ordered the tandoori wings, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Garlic Naan. The sauces were one of the best sauces I've ever had. The tandoori wings were amazing and their presentation was great. I would come here again for the great Indian good and service.

Wanted to find a new restaurant to try with my hungry Yelp friends so with the great reviews we decided to try Namaste Sacramandu...and were not disappointed! We come into a clean, quiet restaurant radiating wonderful smells. The hostesses were very friendly, refreshing your water glasses constantly. The food was absolutely delicious! All the dishes were unique with well spiced flavors. From the lamb, eggplant, chicken and fish dishes it was too hard to pick a favorite. And the garlic naan was super garlicky and flavorful! The mango lassi had just the right sweetness but not overwhelming sweet. This is a definite must go again spot!

Delicious! Every dish, we tried 7, was distinct in flavor & appearance. Nice folks. Checked in with us frequently. Water glasses kept full. Only complaint is order sizes are 50% smaller than any other Indian restaurant. The copper bowls are 5" in diameter and not very deep. But the food high quality & mouth satisfaction does make up for that defect for me. Twice I showed my Yelp check-in coupon for 10% discount. Final bill did not have the discount. I didn't argue. The restaurant was nearly empty at peak dinner hour. They need the cash. I would definitely eat here again.

Food tested amazing. Quick service. Best garlic Naan I've ever tasted!! Disappointed they do not have a buffet. Med-sm portions--but priced appropriately for size. Most of us like no spicy and they were able to accommodate us (which very few Indian restaurants can do realistically).

The best around- tikka masala, naan, saag, momo, chai. Easily the best around and I only wish it were closer to downtown!
