Mr Tequila Sacramento

The food here is amazing! The service was great & we loved all the TV's. We've driven by here countless times but finally decided to stop & we were absolutely not disappointed!

Been here twice - The atmosphere is great here but the food is disgusting. The servers are weird but also nice. They don't know much. My family hosted an event here and everyone that attended got food poisoning. I left early and didn't eat there that time so I missed the sick but it was so horrible for those that stayed and ate there. I'd love to see a Latino biz be successful but this place is making mistakes and needs better management.

I was really looking forward to trying this place out. My friends and I went in on a Saturday night. The place was much smaller than I expected. More like a bar with a dance floor and stage than a restaurant. We all wanted to do a shot of tequila since this is Mr Tequilla after all. The drink menu had a list of tequilas but no prices. We asked our sever what was popular and she told us Volcan. We hadn't heard of that one so we ordered it. When the shot came out it was in a flute with an orange slice. It was smooth. We all ordered food. I ordered the flautas which the menu said they had 3 choices of meat but when I ordered the server told me they were only chicken. Not my favorite but they were fine. The salsas were good. In the meantime, a band was getting ready to play and the music they were playing during set up was so loud we could barely hear each other.We ordered a Mango shooter at the end of the evening which was very good. It was much better than the cadillac margarita I ordered. We split the check and left before the band started around 10pm. When we got home we looked a bit closer at the receipt. We saw shockingly that the 4 shots of Volcan tequila cost $140!! BEWARE of ordering this tequila. I'm am a bit pissed that the server suggested this shot without warning us of the price. Not likely going back to this place even if it's close to my house.

This place is in the old Tommy Ts comedy show spot. You have a steep walk upstairs to enter the restaurant. It was our 1st time here and the bartender told us they have only been open for 7 weeks. There were 1 or 2 people sitting at the bar and then us. No one else was in this restaurant!They have daily specials listed on a little plaque and we were given food menus. They do NOT have a cocktail menu but said they are working on it. There are a ton of drink photos on their website and Yelp but nothing in the actual restaurant that we could reference. We ordered a mojito (they didn't have mint) so we got a house margarita and a pineapple marg to start. The pineapple one literally tasted like pineapple juice. It was sweet and did not taste or smell of tequila. We ordered a blueberry marg and that was also very sweet with no tequila taste or smell to it. We ordered solo nachos with Carne asada which is just nachos cheese, jalapeños and meat. It was a good price and a big portion. We also ordered a glass of chardonnay and it was sour. It was as though the bottle had been opened a month prior.The service wasn't bad but it appears that the bartenders talk to the regulars and don't pay much attention to anyone else. They were super nice when they waited on us.I would hope to see some vast improvements here, otherwise I don't think they will last very long. They need a good happy hour, an actual cocktail menu, maybe pictures on the menu and maybe some more advertising so people know they are new and open.

My husband and I were out for a bike ride and we went to get a quick light bite to eat. We saw this place we had never tried before and enjoyed sitting at the bar. Simple bar food was on the menu. We ordered nachos to share. For a Mexican restaurant I would have expected the food to be better but it was canned cheese sauce and a couple jalapeño slices with added chicken. Not impressed at all. My husband ordered a beer I ordered a water. No biggie. When we paid and got the receipt they charged us for my water!!?? They charged me $3.50 for a glass of soda water!!! What the heck??!! Nope. Wont be going back. Not worth it for mediocre food. Still can't believe they charge for water!!

Wow. This place felt like a fever dream when I walked in with some friends. This one dude who we thought was maybe the owner immediately started playing buddy buddy with us when we walked in. He offered some "appetizers" which were just chips with salsa and some pork rinds. He brought us to the bar and the bartender was doing his thing. My buddies ordered shots of 1800 silver tequila. I took a shot and didn't feel a thing and my buddies kept ordering more shots. They didn't really feel anything either. I felt like the craft beer from fort rock downstairs was stronger.The kicker was the bill. We took turns on paying for each round and they charged $15 per shot. That is ridiculously expensive. I also noticed the prices were pretty high for food on their menu but we didn't order anything to eat. We just snacked on the chips, salsa and pork rinds. The overall ambiance felt very strange as well. There were maybe 10 customers total including us 4. We decided to play billiards and they decided to play karaoke but there were maybe only 2 people singing along. The "DJ" was also blasting unnecessarily loud and annoying sound effects. I looked up this page here on Yelp while sitting at the bar and saw how recent the oldest review was so I'm guessing this place is fairly new. I honestly don't see it lasting long if they were dead slow with business on a Friday night. I also got annoyed with one employee who kept trying to sell us even more drinks even though we said we were good. Probably won't be back unless whoever I'm with really wants to go. If I want a drink while in this shopping center, I'll gladly go to fort rock brewing company or maybe even cattlemen's. This place ain't it.

Surprised this place is still open. Food took a long time. When It came out some of it was burned (fajita chicken & shrimp) and some was cold inside and greasy (taquitos). The beans were old. I did not even try them.Service was pretty rough, we were the only patrons. Maybe a new waitress who brought just about everything out individually. Drinks, 1 by 1, salsa, tortillas, guacamole, & each meal. I had fajitas and had to wait 5 minutes on tortillas & at least 5 on guacamole. The tables were dirty & greasy. Our first indication that we should have turned around was that the place was empty. The second was they were eating McDonalds. The drinks were good. We still left a good tip. Bye bye.

I am extremely disappointed with the way this restaurant handled my mother's birthday reservation. She booked weeks in advance, only to receive a text days before informing her that They could no longer accommodate her due to a Newley implemented cover charge for a fight that night. This last minute cancellation completely disrupted her plans and showed a clear lack of consideration for customers.It's disheartening to see that this establishment prioritizes profit over customer experience. Canceling, a long-standing reservation so close to the event is unacceptable and unprofessional. Due to this treatment. Neither my family or I will ever consider dining here. I hope the management re-evaluates how they handle reservations in the future, as this was truly Disappointing experience.

I've had food from there ( fajitas- I believe steak (asada) & chic Ken (pollo) and street tacos). Both were pretty good! Nothing too crazy to brag about, but good:-.) I did get them to go, which I strongly recommend, unless you like overly loud karaoke, untrained bartenders with an attitude, over-priced drinks, and a vibe thats uneasy, weird, and just meh. I mean what do you expect from a place that allows people to write on the walls leading up to the place in stairwell with a black sharpie and doesn't clean up the trash around its entrance? A place that charges $10 for a shitty pre-made margarita from a machine with shitty (and I mean you can taste the quality) tequila that comes in a cup smaller than a red solo cup.... The machine should just be non- alcoholic and then you choose your tequila shot! Dduuuhhhh Anyway, keep it simple if get food and dip out!

This is what 30 bucks gets you, do with that information as you please. Food quality is ridiculous. Wouldn't feed this to my dog.
