We stopped by today for early lunch(dosa, fish fry, parotta, chicken-kurma) on our way back to the SF Bay Area. We grew up eating South Indian food and everything here tasted as it should, especially the sambhar and the chutney! Lemonade with mint and basil seeds was very refreshing!Service was even better than the food! The man and the lady who served us were very attentive! Would highly recommend the place!

I had high hopes based on the reviews and the yummy looking food in the photos. But, I was disappointed in the experience. The dosa was not great. I got the chicken tikka dosa, and the meat was somewhat dry, the sauce that it was in was so-so, and it had lettuce in it. Of course, the lettuce had wilted by the time I had a few bites. I also had the kadai vegetable. The curry was quite bland, and the vegetables were overcooked.Probably the most glaring issue was that the rice I was served seemed to be an instant rice. What?? Not good. I might come back for another try, but I will not be rushing.

This was my first time at this restaurant, and I left feeling disappointed. They automatically charged a 15% gratuity for our table of 6, but we weren't informed about it beforehand. The bill was presented on a small device, and I couldn't see that gratuity had already been added--so I unknowingly tipped extra.The food itself was decent, but the service had issues. One person in our group didn't get their meal until the rest of us were almost finished. For a place that tacks on gratuity, I expected much better service. Not sure I'll be back.

My family and I decided to try Mr Dosa after seeing it on our drive through the city. We love dosa so much and felt it was time to indulge. My kids are cheese dosa enthusiasts so they each ordered the adult size cheese dosa! They loved the freshness, the Sambar and the chutneys. So good! My husband ordered the mushroom curry (medium spice) and I ordered the chicken kebab appetizer. We also shared the family dosa (the potatoes were spectacular).The service was excellent, the wait staff was attentive and the environment was perfect. Parking is easy (private parking in front) and there was no wait. Clean facilities. Nice place! I can't wait to come back for my birthday.

We regularly go to the Elk Grove location. Shopping around Folsom and decided to give this location a try. Location is somewhat hidden in the older side of Folsom. Don't let the location discourage you from stopping by. The food and customer service was just outstanding. Maybe better than the Elk Grove location. :) We ordered palak paneer, eggplant curry, masala dosa and a few appetizers. This might be our preferred place now. Highly recommend.
