Great boba shop downtown a little hidden down one of the small alleys. I always get one when I'm downtown for an event. Shop is cute and cow themed. They have stickers and other smallItems for sale in addition to their tea. Good selection, small shop, can end up waiting a little while if it's busy, but there's a lot of seating in the courtyard and stuff to read out there too if you have to wait.

It was an abnormally warm May weekend and we were running errands in Placerville. My husband and I both wanted some cold drinks to quench our thirst. I quickly scrolled through Yelp and found Moo & Brew recommended. Let me preface the rest of the review by saying that Placerville is obviously not known for any Asian cuisine/boba joints. Moo & Brew is an extremely cute boba spot tucked away on Main St. We were in love with all the adorable cow squishmallows! The menu is huge and the owner is extremely accommodating with whatever drink requests you have in mind. They even have options for a custom drink. I wanted to try one of their local favorites, so I opted for the blueberry green tea with popping boba. It's supposed to come with lychee jelly, but they were out that day, so I opted for rainbow jelly instead (which honestly was a great substitute). My husband got the Vietnamese coffee. My tea had a great blueberry flavor without being overly sweet, and the blueberry popping boba was awesome. The rainbow jellies had the perfect consistency. As a whole, my drink was extremely refreshing. The Vietnamese coffee wasn't the strongest we had but it was good nonetheless and hit the spot. Our total came out to approximately $14, which is honestly standard for boba these days. Overall, if you're looking for a cute place to get your boba fix without having to drive to Sacramento, Moo & Brew is just fine, but don't expect the same quality as Yi Fang, ShareTea, or Ume Tea for example. However, Moo & Brew is still a great local spot and we will continue to support small!

Service was pretty slow but you can tell they were overwhelmed with people coming in because of the holiday parade. The store itself is very cute. I ordered an Ube drink with boba, but the young man that was taking orders wasn't very knowledgeable about their products so he couldn't tell me if there was caffeine in it or not. I received my drink and unfortunately it wasn't good at all. Very powdery, not much Ube flavor and the boba was lacking in sweetness. I ended up tossing my drink and will probably stick to Rove Boba to satisfy my boba cravings from now on.

Super cute cow themed boba shop. 5 stars for ambience and service.I'd say 3 stars for the drink though. The drink leans on the sweet side, kind of watered down, and the boba is flavorless. It's also almost $7 for a regular size, which is on the higher end for boba.I want this place to do well, but I think the recipes need some refreshing before I try it again.

My husband and I were in the neighborhood and wanted a sweet treat. We were surprised to see another boba shop opened in Placerville. We like supporting small business, so we decided to pop in. First thing we noticed was all the cow decor and items for sale. Pretty novel. They had a good selection on their menu- some typical, some special. My husband got a Thai tea with boba. Nothing superb. He said it tastes like what I make at home. Which for $7+, I could do much better and cheaper. I ordered the brown sugar boba milk tea with pudding. What I got was a joke. It was super watered down, no tea or brown sugar or any flavor really. The boba was not chewy, but tough. And the egg pudding was lacking flavor as well. I couldn't even finish my drink. Now, I recognize that Placerville isn't known for its Asian anything, but it's highway robbery to sell what I had for that price and call it boba. Shame really. Won't recommend and won't be back.

It's a little spot on Maim Street with cute drinks. I had the beachy Red Bull drink. It had strawberries, coconut, and maybe peach? With some gelatin. I loved the gelatin. It was nice and fizzy, I liked it. The cashier was also friendly.

The customer service was beyond nice and friendly. They were apologetic about not having some of their flavors and were helpful in substitutions. The location is cute on Main but it won't always be easy finding parking. They have parallel street parking outside and and a very small and well used lot about s block away. Main Street is pretty small so once you find parking it won't take long to walk to the store but it won't be a quick jump in jump out. It's cow themed and they have a lot of squishies for sale. It's adorable inside. But two drinks plus tip was about $22. It took a little long to get them, not bad but was noticeable. I had a mango drink with lychee poppers and mango jelly. The jelly shape is so damn cute. But I wish I didn't get it blended. Next time I'd ask for just iced. Bro ordered the Cherry limeade. It was both tart and cloyingly sweet. We think it would be good on a very hot day and watered down a little (by the ice). Loved the fresh lime slices. It's a little pricey and the taste isn't quite there. We thought the drinks were ok but not GREAT. Like I'd be back only if I was walking downtown and that doesn't happen often. The menu is interesting (lavender oat milk chai sounds nice!) and they do have frozen yogurt - small menu. This location has had a lot of turnovers since I've moved here. I hope they make it!

I have no idea when this place actually closes. Yelp and Apple Maps say 6PM. Google says 5PM. And this past Saturday I found the shop closed before 4:30PM. I drove 30 mins two times to try and get some boba and was let down both times. The drinks are really good but there are also other shops that are closer and actually open. Not worth the extra time if they're going to close early.
