Modern Fine Catering

For my best friend's laid back bachelorette party I decided to have a nice 5 course dinner for our group of girls on our last night together. Chef Gereld was very prompt and professional during the whole process. He sent me sample menus weeks leading up to the date and was very open to any suggestions on what we would prefer to have. He made sure that we established final details the weekend before the event which really reassured me that the service he provides will not disappoint. On the day of the event he showed up on time and ready for our dinner. It was very impressive that he really focused on details especially by printing out a menu card and really focusing on the table set up. Our 5 course dinner was amazing! Everyone loved what he prepared especially the lamb lollipop. I don't usually go for lamb, but Chef Gereld changed my mind about lamb. The highlight of our 5 course menu was the Sticky Toffee Pudding. OMG!!! So so so so delicious. In fact, I even placed an order for a family party and it was a big hit. If you are looking for any catering needs or even for a private dinner for you and your loved ones, Chef Gereld can do it all. Highly recommended and the food NEVER disappoints.

I went to a bday party for two friends of my 6 yo prior to Lockdown. I was blown away with how amazing all the food was. The Hawaiian themed food was comfort foods that kids and adults loved . My go to catering company when I need meals done when we are allowed to social again. The second part of this review is about their catered meals while in lockdown due to Covid. MFC teamed up with a local school and offered Easter meals to be picked up via drive thru. The staff was very well prepared and protected during pick up . Our Easter Prime Rib meal was superb! Bravo. Gerald and his team are the real deal.

AMAZING!!! Modern Fine Catering provided the food for our wedding and everyone kept coming up to us saying it was the best food they have ever had, and we don't disagree. Everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We had steak with mushroom cream sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, and buttered green beans with caramelized onions (DELICIOUS), Moroccan spiced chicken with mango chutney, garlic couscous, and green beans (so good and they were able to make this vegan), and blacked salmon with mango salsa, cilantro rice, and citrus glazed carrots (SO FLAVORFUL). They have so many different options and unique flavors to choose from. On top of the food being amazing, the owners Eloisa and Gereld were so helpful and easy to work with. They were able to accommodate dietary restrictions, child meals, and even helped coordinate having dippin dots at our wedding! Something that stuck out to me is that our coordinator forgot to bring us appetizers to try during pictures and when I popped my head in the kitchen and asked if there were any left overs, Gereld made us fresh appetizers and they brought them to the head table! Additionally, while we're were dancing, Eloisa brought my husband and I our favorite flavor of dippin dots. They truly went above and beyond and I cannot say enough positive things. I would recommend them to absolutely anyone.

I used Modern Fine Catering for the first time last week and was extremely impressed. Chef Gereld and his staff were amazing to work with and the food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The waitstaff and bartenders were friendly and professional and we received many compliments on both the service and food. Chef Gereld was great to work with and helped create a balanced menu with flawless execution. As a professional planner, I recommend to look no further and contract with this great catering company for your next event.

Chef Gerald catered a lovely dinner at our home for William Jessup University and friends. The artisan fruit skewer with lavender honey, steak and blue cheese bruschetta, pan-seared scallops, and bacon wraps were delicious. The presentation and service were exceptional, and his attention to set-up and clean-up was terrific. Gerald is our new go-to caterer.

Gerald is a really great chef. His meals were flavorful. We have been fortunate to try his food during our kids' school picnic and his beef stew as well (pictured here). All his foods were delicious. We have also just really liked getting to know him as a person. He is very friendly and easy going. We will definitely hired Gerald and his team for our next party!

We got Modern Fine Catering for our son's baptism reception for 60 people last December 2019. The food was fine dining restaurant quality! Our guests are amazed with the presentation and quality of food that was served. Gereld, is so accommodating with our requests, he was so pleasant to work with and very professional. I highly recommend Modern Fine Catering for any catering event, no matter how big or small. You will not be disappointed!

My son had the Sweet and Spicy Chicken sandwich with slaw on a brioche bun today! First of all he barely let me have some and we wanted more when it was gone! I'm telling you I came home and I'm still thinking about it. My daughters had the chicken tenders and fries and they said they were the best they've ever had. The owners were amazing and they talked about all the food items they make depending on the event and we are sold! We told them they need a restaurant and they said are hoping to do another restaurant out here in Roseville soon... we can't wait! Please bottle the hot honey sauce! Fab fab!

I would give Modern Fine Catering 10 stars if I could. Not only was the food delicious and tasty, the service was amazing. Modern Fine Catering catered my wedding. We chose the full service which included setup, cleanup and servers. Best decision ever. The servers were attentive and polite. Eloisa was super responsive and on top of every detail. You will not go wrong with Eloisa's recommendations. She genuinely cares about you and will do everything she can to make everything go as smoothly as possible. Chef Gerald is crazy talented and also very humble and kind. All of our guest could not stop talking about how amazing the meal was. The Tri-tip was flavorful and tender. The lemon rosemary chicken was absolutely delicious. It's hard to accomplish what Gerald did, he did not sacrifice quality because of the quantity of food he had to make. This is the best team that you can get, to help make any of your events memorable. We will definitely use them again for any future events. We recently had a Graduation Party for our daughter with 60 guests... Modern Fine Catering was EXCEPTIONAL in their Service and Delicious Food..We will use them again and again!!
