Modella Salon and Spa is welcoming with a relaxed atmosphere. It's clean, modern and the stylists are friendly and professional. Jodi is my talented hair stylist and has been for many years. She's a true professional and very knowledgeable with coloring and cutting hair. I'm always greeted with a smile and she is genuinely friendly, kind and positive. Michele is another wonderful stylist at Modella, she is also very talented and a wizard with coloring hair. Modella is a very nice salon with a lot of great hair stylists!

The salon itself is clean, well-maintained, and easy to find. But this review is more specifically for one of the rock stars that works there: Jodi. She has been my hairstylist for a couple of years now, and I would never think about going anywhere else or to anyone else. In addition to being top-notch at her trade, the overall experience Jodi creates is always very enjoyable. Conversation is always easy-going, open minded, and free of judgment. For men's or women's haircuts and/or styling, Jodi is a one stop shop! My wife is also one of her clients and absolutely loves her. Five stars all the way for Jodi!

I have been going to Jodi for my hair needs since moving to the area in 2006. She always reviews my hair with fresh eyes. She is kind, honoring, and respectful. I repeatedly receive compliments on my hair color and style. She is extremely creative and skilled! I highly recommend her for men, women, and children. She has been doing my daughter and son's hair as well, and we all enjoy our time in the chair.

Alex is amazing! She does my waxing and does an amazing job! She's also really good at facials she uses Jan Marini products that are so great for your skin! Her sister Joy is an excellent hair stylist she does my hair I get compliments all the time, I recommend them both they will make you leaving with the glow of beauty.

I love Alex! I have been going to Alex for 20 years now, and she is the best. Not only can I count on her quality of work, but she is kind, considerate and friendly. I'm so glad I found her years ago and will continue to use her services for decades to come!

OMG BEST SALON, BEST STYLISTS & ESTHETICIAN EVER! Moving from the Bay Area to Folsom, I stressed out on where I could go and who I could trust with my hair. I wanted to find a place that was welcoming, friendly, lots of laughter, comfortable, relaxing, clean, upbeat, respectful but I also wanted to go to a salon that was honest with what style I wanted and that also would give me options. That is when I found Modella Salon and Spa. The way I see it, when I go to a salon it's my time to decompress and I always feel amazing when I walk out that door.There is water, coffee, tea and magazines to read. The chairs are comfy too. I love the lights around the salon too. I do love that all the stylist are friendly and greet you. It makes you feel comfortable which I love. I would not or could not trust anyone else but Modella Salon and Spa. Joy & Alex thank you for always making me feel and look fabulous. I can't wait for my next appointment.

I have been a client of Jodi's for over 20 years. She has always done an outstanding job with my hair, and I receive many complements about the color and cut. I have recommended Jodi and Modella Salon to friends and family who have also been very pleased with her services. Jodi and the other stylists in Modella Salon create a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. I wouldn't go anywhere else but to Jodi. She is the best!

This review is not reflective of the salon itself, Joy and Alex are handling the situation with the upmost professionalism. This review is in regards to the environment that one stylist - Jody- perpetuates that is wholly inappropriate and discriminatory to fellow patrons. While getting my hair colored and cut, a long with my 15 year old child, Jody had a client in her station that spewed hateful, racist rhetoric for hours. My stylist pulled Jody aside and told her that her conversation with her client was upsetting to all of us that could hear it, she got defensive and said that she will not censor herself or her client. At one point I asked them politely to stop their rant about Mexicans, gays, etc, to which Jody began yelling at ME in front of my son, kept repeating that she and her client can say whatever they want. Then proceeded to verbal attack me personally. Just a word of caution if you are a person of color, sexual orientation, and intolerant of hateful rhetoric, you may want to make sure that the stylist you book with is culturally sensitive. Being trapped in a chair in the middle of a hair procedure and unable to get this behavior to stop was awful.

I have been going to this salon for years because Jodi works out of this salon now (because she has been doing my hair for 20+ years). She listens to my needs and wants, she is smart, knows her business, is kind, thoughtful and respectful of her clients and those around her in the salon. She is the best.

My family and I have been clients of Jodi's for well over twenty years. As a mixed cultural family we have definitely presented Jodi with challenging hair styles to be resolved. Each of us are beyond grateful for Jodi's professional support and expertise to resolve all our hair style obstacles including very curly hair, straight fine hair, Asian hair and, as for me, not only the perfect cut but her hair coloring knowledge to compliment me over the years. Jodi's welcoming smile and pleasant nature are the best!
