Mizuki Sushi

My first visit to Mizuki was a great one! I visited on Sunday afternoon for lunch with my family and we were pleasantly surprised for how large and modern the interior of the restaurant was after walking in from the seemingly unassuming strip mall entrance.We were greeted and seated right away. The restaurant is fairly open in its layout, with partial and open walls separating the kitchen space (which makes for lots of delicious smells wafting through the dining area). We decided to get multiple rolls to share and ordered the Friday, Lucky 7, Rainbow, Aloha, and Orange Blossom. All of the rolls were brought to our table at once on a beautiful plate and the presentation was very impressive.My favorite rolls were the Aloha and the Orange Blossom. The raw fish tasted super fresh and the sushi rice was well seasoned.I also asked the waiter if I could look at the lunch menu even though it was a Sunday (lunch menu is available Mon - Sat until 3pm), and saw some great deals, so I'll definitely be back to try those. Service, portions, and quality were great all around.

This has got to be THE WORST service and mediocre food we have EVER experienced. I called in an order on Valentine's Day and was told it would be 45 minutes before it was ready. I figured it would be busy and told the guy on the phone that 45 minute wait would be no problem. My husband arrived 5 minutes after the time provided and was told the food wasn't ready. No big deal except he waited an ADDITIONAL 45 minutes before receiving our order. Mind you, we only ordered 3 rolls and a kid's bento box! The staff wasn't apologetic and didn't seem to care about their to go customers. My husband ended up chatting with another guy waiting for his order and apparently waiting ludicrous amounts of time for to go orders is common and not just because it was Valentine's Day.The food was mediocre at best. The sushi rolls had little to no filling and were essentially rice drenched in sauce. My daughter's bento box (which she didn't eat because the food took so long that I had to get her ready for bed before my husband got back) had 6 pieces of the driest chicken thighs I've ever seen. Crazy considering chicken thighs are naturally fatty. I now understand why their rolls are always 50% off - it's because they're terrible.We will NEVER return to this restaurant. Considering how expensive sushi is to begin with, we will spend our money at establishments that actually care about what customers as this one doesn't seem to care about theirs.

honestly, i've been here a few times & normally when i go it's pretty decent & had no issues. i went again today for the first time in months & the quality isn't as good as it was. on top of that the service was horrible today. from the moment i walked in, the older lady ella was very rude before we even got seated. she ignored us the whole time, never checking in on us once. every time i stopped her to ask for something she'd roll her eyes at me. i asked for more napkins & she attended 5 other tables before she giving it to us. didn't feel very welcoming at all. i used to recommend this place to everyone but now i will not be. even though the food for the price is really good, the quality & service is not worth it to me. i would rather pay full price for better service & food. the other server aj on the other hand was very attentive to us & always super nice when i come in.

Mizuki is in the same plaza as chilis, party city, etc. and located right next to Color Me Mine. This place is a decent size with ample room for big groups or small groups dining. Came for dinner and there were 2 chefs and 1 waitress. Service was alright but understandable since there was only 1 server available. The chefs were fast at work and delivered great quality sushi. Tried the:Salmon Carpaccio 10/10Savage Roll 8/10Dragon Roll 9/10Chinggis Roll 9/10 Everything was so good and fairly priced. Can't wait to come back and try their other items.

And STILL our favorite sushi spot in all of Sacramento. They never disappoint. From the service to the fresh fish, it's still an A++

Decided to give this place another try. We came just after they opened for dinner. There was no one inside. We were seated right away. The sign on the window as we entered said 50% off all rolls. A bad sign. I hate places that use this gimmick. Lame just show me the real price. That is not going to make me come in and try stuff thinking it's on sale. It was even on the menu , so basically all the time. We ordered the calamari which came out looking like onion rings. just ok but not fresh for sure. Next was the sea steak which was just mah. I got the small sashimi since they didn't have a Chirashi. It was bland, no taste and the fish wasn't that fresh. With all the choices around town you have to be fresh otherwise you go somewhere else. The best thing was the salad that came with my sashimi meal. It was really good and the dressing was good. My daughter got a roll to but not much flavor either. Oh well we will not be coming back.

Love this spot! I've been here multiple times and have liked every roll I've had--they're balanced, not skimpy on ingredients, and not overly saucy, which are usually my reservations about discounted sushi menus. The 50% off is a true bargain -- after all, who doesn't love sushi that doesn't break the bank?Service is great and has been consistent each time I've visited. Will definitely be returning, and would recommend!

So so good! One of my favorite sushi spots in Elk Grove. We dined late on a Sunday and it was pretty quiet and was sat quickly. The service was good and took our orders quickly. We ordered 4 rolls with raw fish and 3 rolls that were cooked (shrimp tempura, soft shell crab and baked salmon). I love their deep fried roll, it was so delicious and crunchy. Their price is so reasonable as well! Love everything about this place.

First time to this place. It was a late dinner so not too many diners. There was only 1 server and with the few diners, he was a little behind. Maybe because it was late and they were closing soon?? Place is clean and nice for a date night. I came with my son for dinner.My son ordered for us because so many choices. We didn't want too many rolls for this late. I did order one roll that tells me about the sushi bar and freshness of the fish, Tekka Maki. We ordered some tempura as an appetizer but didn't come out until after our rolls. My tekka maki didn't smell like fish so we are good. Our order came out and they were all very good. I like the fact that the rolls were tightly rolled, nothing falling out when you pick it up. I did order a hot tea but it was not hot enough. I must try this place again and update my review.

Restaurant was well decorated, with a modern chic feel. Dim lights, black abstract tile walls, with some wooden features.I've been here a couple of times, their lunch menu is a good deal. They also have a big selection for sushi rolls. Our server was nice and patient. We got two rolls and an appetizer. Zucchini bite was good, can't really mess up on tempura zucchini with crab salad on top right? Rolls were just okay, with thin slices of fish on top. Considering the prices, it's a good size. But the shrimp tempura and eel in our rolls are cold and stale. The shrimps weren't crunchy.Maybe I'll come back again, but probably not in the near future.
