I found Miyagi's through their open gyms for my younger daughter which was always a fun experience. My older daughter decided she wanted a gymnastics themed birthday party so we booked a birthday party for her with them. My husband and I were both very disappointed. We were allowed to get there at 1:45 to set up for a 2:00 party and when we got there the woman at the front desk was calling the coach who was supposed to be working it and the coach had forgotten she was working that day. Nothing had been set up yet in the gym so the woman at the front scrambled to get some things set up. She was clearly annoyed with this. The "party room" is just the table to the right of the front desk which is pretty cluttered and dirty. The kids and adults at the party were told many rules they weren't following correctly which was very uncomfortable as the host of the birthday. They asked about getting all the girls of the party into lessons with each other in front of another mom which was also uncomfortable for me because I just wanted the parents to enjoy a nice birthday party without being pressured to sign their children up for something. The coach for the party showed up about 45 minutes late, never came over to introduce herself, and mostly sat around. The website does say the coach will set up games for the kids and things like that. When I walked over to her to introduce myself I asked her if she could do the bubble guns they use at their open gyms because our kids love them and she proceeded to tell me they don't always do them for all parties because if the kids don't like them it's a waste of their bubbles but she was willing to do them for us. They have two bubble guns and when you use both of them (which I've seen other coaches do with ease) it's a much better effect, but she said if I wanted both bubble guns used another parent from the party would need to help her. After the party was over and we cleaned everything up my husband asked her if everything looked ok and if we'd cleaned everything up well enough, and she just responded that she'd just stepped on something sticky. So all in all, we were very displeased with the party on Miyagi's end. We felt the customer service was lacking from all involved and besides having access to the gym...we are not really sure what we paid for.

Wynzday is approaching her second year of competition. Her experience last year was so much fun, she is so excited to compete again. My daughter and son have been going to miyagi gymnastics for about 6 months now and they have loved every minute of it! My daughter is now there 4 hours a week and looks forward to going every time. They watch the kids carefully and are very very organized. The coaches have always been excellent and the kids love them. When miyagi himself coaches the kids get an awesome workout and they love being pushed! We love it there!

My daughter loves it here! She joined the team in December, and I am amazed at her progress in such a short period of time. The classes are rigorous and the coaching is amazing! If your child is dedicated and wants to excel, this is the place to go!

We drive over an hour each way to come here for amazing coaching. My daughters not only learn wonderful gymnastics with the coaches here.. they also look up to them. Their workouts are always upbeat, positive and technique building. We appreciate having access to coaches that were very successful competitive gymnasts themselves because they explain things in ways that make sense and produce skill development. So thankful we found this gym!!!

I wish we found them years ago! All the students look fantastic. They help work basic body mechanics into the lessons so the kids learn good practices from the beginning. The staff is amazing and really care about their students.

This place used to be amazing! Now it's mediocre. But they do have fantastic coaches in Donna and Kendra! When we joined, there was no registration fee, now it's $30 per year. Before you could try one class free, now it's $10. UPDATE it is now $20!You used to be able to schedule a makeup class if you planned an absence, no more makeups now. They have now stopped accepting anything except autopay. There used to be a playroom for waiting little siblings but not since the "remodel."I feel like I am a generation too late for this place but since my daughter adores her coach, we will try to hang in there in spite of all the negative changes.
