I've been to Midtown Spirits twice now. The first was on a hotter-than-you-know-what summer day when one of their boozy slushies really hit the spot. It was an ube slushy, in fact, and was the perfect cocktail to enjoy after lunch nearby with some coworkers. In fact, I spent months thinking about that ube slushy, so I was more than thrilled to find myself at a nearby farmer's market on my most recent trip to Sacramento - and I had JUST enough time to pop in to enjoy its purply goodness before I had to head to the airport.Alas, the ube slushy is no more. The server reported that they had discontinued it, as they didn't feel it was very popular - although, she noted that MANY people had come in to order it and missed it very much. At least I wasn't alone in my disappointment.I settled on a POG smoothie, which was definitely not as good (or as pretty) as the ube, but was tasty nonetheless. I like a sweet slushy, and this one was semi-sweet. I drank about half then headed for the airport. While I was there, it was brunch time, and people were getting some seriously delish-looking eats (and bloody marys too); so I will have to plan on a return trip to Midtown on my next trip to the area, to enjoy some brunch and, maybe-just-maybe, the return of the ube smoothie too?

Stumbled upon this place with a friend and wasn't disappointed! I'd recommend coming to this place if you're looking for a quick bite to eat! We got the pork belly sisig and the ube pancakes! I thought their portion size was good and thought that having an entree with the pancakes was perfect! The staff were very efficient and welcoming! It's self seating after you ordered and there is an indoor as well as an outdoor seating! This was perfect for a nice today! I'd come here for a breakfast treat again! It's such a fun place to stumble upon for a Filipino breakfast!

I'm genuinely bummed to write this, as Midtown Spirits was one of my favorite spots for years. I've been a loyal patron since they opened, and I've always had good experiences. Unfortunately, things went downhill during my birthday celebration there yesterday. There were 12 of us in total, and when we politely asked for a few extra seats from the tables that had empty spots, the staff member on duty told us, "No, you have enough seats, and we have more people coming in." Even when I explained it was my birthday, he still refused to accommodate us.Later in the evening, during the bingo game, they allowed one of the regulars to win despite not following the rules. When we pointed this out to the staff, they responded by flipping us off and accusing us of stealing seats, which was completely uncalled for.I've never felt so mistreated, especially after bringing in a decent-sized group to support the business. I'm not leaving this review to get the place shut down but to hopefully help the staff understand the importance of treating all customers with respect, especially loyal ones who keep coming back.

What a cute little spot. We stopped in for brunch on a Sunday morning and were able to get a table with no wait. I had the Masubi bowl and hubs had the Pork Adobo, both were mouth watering! Mixed drinks on tap and alcoholic slushies, yes please! We returned later for spritzers with house made vodka and Ube Churros. Yum Yum!!

Stopped in after walking by many times. I found out they distill their own vodka, gin, and rum which I think is really cool. Our bartender was helpful and answered our questions. I got their seasonal gin cocktail and it was delicious. I also tried my favorite drink (dirty gin martini) and it was made perfectly. We enjoyed the heated patio and a cool evening.

This is my #1 all time favorite brunch spot in Sacramento. I come here all the time, I love their Asian fusion menu and their flexibility to make meals more vegetarian friendly. They also have an awesome drink menu and I always get the Capitol coffee to go with it. I highly recommend the ube pancakes and the mushroom loco moco-I order both every time! The service is really friendly and the bar itself is super hip and dog friendly. I like sitting outside on their covered patio. Besides brunch it's a really great place for some casual drinks, definitely try their slushies: the mangonada is a must try+ their seasonal slushie is always tasty

Great little spot for brunch with a nice variety of Filipino inspired dishes. Missed out on the pork adobo which sold out but enjoyed the loco moco. Good old fashioned and my wife's Bloody Mary was so good too!

My friend has been here a few times for drinks but never had the food so we checked it out for dinner. Wasn't busy at all on a Thursday night. I ordered chicken lumpia and chicken katsu with garlic rice. The food came out quick. The lumpia and katsu were perfectly crisped. The lumpia alone didn't taste good but paired very well with the sauce. It was interesting to have pickled carrots and daikon with my katsu. The dish felt like a vietnamese Filipino japanese fusion. It seemed like a lot of food but I devoured the whole thing. The garlic rice had the right amount of garlic that went well with the katsu.

We grabbed some drinks here during their Halloween specials. We got the Bag o' blood which was basically a vodka punch. It was a generous portion! I basically got two drinks out of it. Fun concept! It was very sweet. The espresso slushee martini was also very sweet and following the bag o blood with that lead to a bit of a sugar overload! The vibe was very laid back. Not too crowded. Good for talking with friends over drinks. I would be interested to come back and try their brunch.

Midtown Spirits in Sacramento is a fantastic spot for those looking for a unique blend of ambiance, cocktails, and food. Located in the vibrant Midtown area, it's Sacramento's first full-fledged distillery and cocktail lounge, known for crafting their own small-batch spirits in-house, which adds a special touch to each drink. The menu is creative and has a little something for everyone, from imaginative cocktails to solid, tasty food options. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, often eager to recommend drinks based on your preferences. Their house cocktails stand out, with the gin and whiskey selections getting particularly high marks. The food menu, while not extensive, is thoughtfully curated, with shareable plates and unique twists on classic dishes. The setting combines a trendy industrial vibe with a relaxed atmosphere, making it a perfect hangout for both casual nights and special gatherings. There's indoor and outdoor seating, and the patio is a great option for people-watching or enjoying Sacramento's nice weather. Prices are fair for the quality, and overall, Midtown Spirits offers a solid experience for both locals and visitors looking to explore Sacramento's growing distillery and cocktail scene.
