Mi Carniceria Market

Drove by Main Street and saw some papel picado hanging out from a store front. Decided to stop by and check it out. I walked into what I thought would be just a carniceria, but I was wrong. They have so many unique hard to find items. Where do I begin. The have local birria mix in a bottle from the 559 area. They had tortillas raspadas, unooked and also fried; if you have been to Jalisco, you know exactly what I'm talking about. I usually bring stacks and stacks whenever I go to Mexico. So blessed to have found this item here in town. Something that stood out was the cleanliness and the quality of the meets. If you've been to Del Valle and Superior, you know their gray colored, fly infested meat is guaranteed for some instant chorro. This place on the other hand was well lit, no sign of blood pools, red fresh clean meat. I really like this place. It's small, clean and has everything you need (except pan dulce). It reminds me of going to el buen gusto (la espiga) back in the 80s. This is my new spot. Definitely recommended!
