Tl;dr: service was mid, food was expensive for the quality, and one of the wraps was contaminated, causing stomachache and nausea for my partner.Review: First impression felt great as Arabian Mexican fusion seemed different. Upon looking at their menu, the prices appeared reasonable, and we'd experience new flavors. The cost felt justified. The menu items were a little confusing since they were all new to us, so it made sense we'd ask a few questions here and there, such as what were toum or sumac. I planned on ordering the Taco Arabe, which is an al pastor lamb wrap. I asked what was quesillo as there was a recommendation to add it to the Taco Arabe. They responded by saying it's a cheese, which made sense... quesillo, queso? I get it. Okay, let's give some context: I'm fine with lamb, but I didn't want a potentially pungent cheese like Parmesan or Munster mixed in my wrap that'd already be slightly gamey from the lamb. So, I dug deeper and asked what kind of cheese it used, and they flat out just said cheese. I gave an "ooookay" expression and just ordered it for the experience. We ended up ordering Taco Arabe ($19 + $2 from the quesillo), Viva Palestina ($17), and Limonada Arabe ($5). It totaled to about $50. We received the drink first, which was unfortunately primarily ice filled to the brim with roughly 6oz or less of the actual drink (hand size for reference in the image). The two wraps took a long time to receive (over 20 minutes), and one wouldn't expect that typically from pop up vendors. For restaurants it's somewhat acceptable to wait this long, but not so much here. After receiving the two wraps, I asked the server which wrap was which. They either didn't know or quickly forgot. They grabbed one of my wraps, opened it all up, and essentially used their gloved finger to scoot the food around until they noticed a distinction. They then wrapped it back up and handed it to me, announcing the name of the wrap. Honestly, I lost most of my appetite there because it was simply gross. I expected them to be a little more professional, a little more ServSafe. Maybe grab a clean tong, scoop, utensil, etc. to move it around rather than fiddling the wrap with some gloved finger that has been worn for how long and has touched who knows where? Or maybe just ask the person who made it? Professionalism was lacking, unfortunately.Anyway, while eating, my partner and I didn't really think much of the food. My appetite was gone from the earlier incident, but food is food. It was all fine until my partner started feeling nauseous, paired with a noticeably loud, grumbly stomacheache a few hours after consumption. I pray it doesn't get worse. As I write this, my stomach feels the grumbles too since I had my partner's leftovers wrap, the Viva Palestina.I'm not really one to write reviews; however, in rare scenarios like this, I will so people are aware. It's just annoying having to do this. I asked my suffering partner what rating to give, and she still offered to give 2 stars. I'll respect her decision; she knows what rating I would've given...

I got to try Meza during this past weekend's Yelp Elite Event at Valensin Vineyard & Winery. Being a Yelp Elite member, all the different popups were offering samples at their booths. I received a free taco arabe sample at Meza and it was sooo good. The pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the arugula and sauce on top paired beautifully with the meat, as well as helping to cut its fattiness. We also bought a little fatayer (spinach pie) as we wanted to support Meza, which was $5. I'm always down to try different cuisines and this was unlike anything I've ever had! As our day at the vineyard progressed, more and more people went to order their wraps for lunch, and they were really efficient at making everything. I wish I had ordered another item from Meza, but I'm sure I'll be back next time they have a popup at a different event! I'm surprised there are no reviews about Meza to be completely honest. Their food is goooood. It was the most beautiful & peaceful day and I'm glad Meza was able to be part of my first ever Yelp Elite event!

We finally got to try Meza at the Farm to Fork festival this past weekend. They were offering their vegetarian Za'atar wrap and their chicken Viva Palestinia. My husband and I ordered the. Viva Palestina, and it was delicious! The wrap was super flavorful and the chicken was super tender. We were definitely impressed by this yummy wrap. They unfortunately were sold out of their choco-tahini chip cookies. Hopefully, next time!

Tried Meza at the Farm to Fork Festival... and haven't been able to stop thinking about it. Fusion food can be hit and miss - but I'd never seen Arab/Mexican fusion before. They're part of the Alchemist Kitchen program which is so cool - and the wrap I had was AMAZING. They're only doing pop ups right now but they earned my follow to see where they'll be next.

Delicious!! We got the Za'taar flatbread w/ veggies n yogurt and mint lemonade. My 10 year old kid loved it, too! Bonus: you get to watch them cook the flatbread in front of you on this cool dome-shaped grill. Also, appreciate their progressive politics and support for social justice. Can't wait to try their other items!

I've never tried "Arab/Mexican" fusion before! We were feeling adventurous today at a Farmer's Market and tasted Meza California's Za'Atar wrap, and added cucumber, tomato, mint, garlic, Oaxaca cheese, and yogurt to ours. I think it came out to around $17-$19? I forget. Either way, it was a 10" masterpiece and SO GOOD. We'd never had those flavors before, and the girls explaining the food to us were super patient and helpful. Super yummy! It was pretty oily, but that's the nature of the Za'Atar, so it was expected. Regardless, YUM. We're totally gonna figure out how to make this at home. And when we're feeling lazy, head back to Meza to try the other foods.

Not sure if this place has a brick and mortar location but I bought a snack from a pop-up at a Brewery. I got a quesadilla with a side of salsa and the quesadilla was crunchy and cheesy but pricy. The salsa was more of a chili oil and it was really good but again, too pricy for me.

It is a very unique blend of culinary traditions. We had the Taco Arabe and the Viva Palestina chicken wrap. The bread is delicious, handmade on demand. It was a great combination with the IPA beers we had at Porchlight Brewing Co.

My new favorite. Had Meza at Porchlight then again at Nitty's a few weeks later. Split two wraps with my wife; the quesadilla wrap could be the key to world peace

I had the pleasure of meeting and eating at Meza California this weekend at the Women's Pop Up @ Valensin Winery. The owners are gracious and incredibly kind people. The food is amazing! We tried the Za'atar & the Palestinian Chicken wraps. Both were so tasty. The most amazing thing on the menu is the Fatayar. They need to box and sell these - grocery stores, mail order. I am bummed I took no photos but follow them on Instagram and go to their events. You won't regret it!
