A great local Mexican meat market with really fresh produce and great customer service. They've always got what I need when I'm cooking tacos for dinner. The meat department here is the best and the carnicero's are always friendly and helpful. We really like the pan dulce, or Mexican sweet bread, here. They have cabinets full of different varieties. They also have fresh bread which is great for making tortas. I love ordering a half pound of the cooked carnitas. It's always very tasty and when I combine it with the hot tortillas, fresh cilantro and white onion, I feel like I'm eating at a taqueria. Their choices of queso fresca is top notch too. Plenty of salsa choice to choose from. Went here Sunday which was the day after the Canelo fight and the day of Cinco De Mayo. Needless to say all the tortilla chips were gone. Lol. Ended up finding a couple bags in the back of the shelf but I regretted it as they were a bit stale. One of the managers here hooked me up with a pack of sodas free of charge as a consolation.

Great selection of pan Dulce's. I will say I did feel like I was getting dirty looks from some of the cashiers (I'm actually a Latina but I don't don't look like it) I've noticed from other reviews other people have also felt this way. But, they have a great selection of marinated cranes as well in the butcher shop.

I loved this place and their bolillo and teleras, most of their pan dulce is great as well. I come here often. Today was just unsanitary. I Came in for some bread, and there were so many flies on the bread. I couldn't bring myself to buy it. I now think how many times have a bought bread from here and I just didn't notice. Anyways I brought it to the attention of the women working there and not one of them said a thing to me, they just looked at me, Great service. I'm not sure if I'll be back, maybe I'll try to come at opening when the bread is fresh or I'm not sure, now I'm just wondering what the cleanliness from the rest of the store is like, like in the meat department, because I have purchased meat here before.

We get our carne arrachera here regularly and it is both amazing and affordable! Pro tip would be to call beforehand and make sure they have some in stock. They often sell out during the weekend! This small market has all the basics you need and then some. I'm always able to grab some fresh tomatoes, cilantro, and onions while I'm here--perfect for a homemade pico to go with our arrachera. There's a tiny corner selection of freshly baked goods, but it isn't like what you find at bigger Sac markets like La Esperanza. If you're on the hunt for some great baked goods, I can't vouch for their quality. That being said, this place is worth a stop if you're looking for some great meat and produce!

I made a quick stop while passing by this little mercado, which has a good selection of necessary items. I focused on fruit and bought a couple eat-right-now ripe mangos.

Moving from the Bay Area, we needed to know our staple Mexican Grocery Store. Their salas are tucked away in a smaller fridge next to the cheeses, and their skirt steak or flap meat are at great prices $7.99 per lb. I was in shock. (Coming from the Bay Area, meats at the Mexican Grocer usually runs at $8.99-$9.99 per lb.) So we're very happy to have Mercado Loco near and dear to us.Mercado Loco has been set at my go to for Mexican groceries. The store is clean, well organized, tucked away in a small busy strip mall, neighboring a GoodWill.

i cant complain about the store in general or cashier they are very nice never had a problem before but i was at the store today with my two daughthers while getting a cart they had a sign (white board ) been held my a very fragile stick we didnt touch the thing when it felt and hurt my daughters back i am not trying to make a big deal but what bother me is that i told one of the ladies that they should move the sign somewhere else or out something stronger to hold it because it wasnt safe she said o let me bring the manager. another lady called the manager so he can speak to me but he refused he said he was already on his lunch break. but imagine it was something my daughters broke or damage they would be all over me!!!

Love their salsa. I'm Mexican so they seem nice when I shop there. But I've sent my wife, a Caucasian redhead, to pick up stuff and she almost always gets stink eyes and snubbed by the cashiers. One refused to say anything to her.So if you're not Latino, this might be something to keep in mind. My wife is the sweetest person I know, but was judged because of her color. We will still go there. It'd be petty not to. Their stock is a little inconsistent but there's stuff you're not gonna find other places, like pan dulce!
