I recently visited McKinley Village in East Sacramento, and I'm thoroughly impressed! The homes are modern, spacious, and beautifully designed. Being a newish (build began 2016) development, everything feels fresh and updated. The amenities are fantastic! There's a cool clubhouse, a Jr. Olympic pool, and even a pickleball court--perfect for staying active! The gym is well-equipped, making it easy to maintain a fitness routine. Plus, it's dog-friendly, which is a huge plus for pet owners. The neighborhood is also adorned with stunning art sculptures, adding a unique touch to the community vibe. The location is super convenient, with easy access to all the best spots in Midtown, Downtown, and East Sac.There's a genuine sense of community here, which is hard to find these days. The quality of the homes and the overall atmosphere make McKinley Village a standout choice. If you're looking for a beautiful home in a vibrant area with great amenities and a dog-friendly environment, definitely consider MV !

Really beautiful community center to host an event at! They have a kitchen and bathrooms plus shower onsite so you can get ready before your event if you need. There is a pool and gym outside for the public to use close to the event room so just be aware there will be foot traffic in and out nearby. But it was very minimal and not disruptive at all. The event room is surrounded by big open windows so great natural light!

Went here last night to show my little siblings(from out of town) the lights in the underpass. They were not on. No rainbow lights. I used to drive under this last year and they would be on. I guess they are on randomly? Or they turned them off completely? I can't seem to find any information on what time they turn on? We went at 10pm. Very misleading now. I would recommend not going if you have to travel, considering they may not be on. Bummer, this underpass is on a lot of tourist sites and the city is bragging about their light show portal that isn't even on

Doesn't even have the LED color lights on unless it's a holiday. What's the point of putting LED color lights in if you hardly gonna use them. Very misleading pictures. ( this has nothing to do with the living areas; this just for anyone who saw this tunnel on Sac Tik Tok as a cool place to check out....don't do it, it's a waste of gas )

It's a Friday night and I'm the lead of a paid media team consisting of 6 of us. I show up at 8:30 sharp to make sure the neon lights are up and working. My team is slowly trickling in, nearing the check-in time (9pm). At 8:48, the neon lights turned off and the bridge was lit up with regular white lights. Because of this, we had to replan the entire shoot, which was quite frustrating. The neighborhood is very nice though.

Houses are really nice. Classic architecture. Great floor plans. Prices on high side. Pool is beautiful. Nice parks. Good access to midtown. Quiet neighborhood even though freeway is close. A little far from stores. Adjacent East Sac neighborhood is unspectacular but acceptable. Sub-par landscaping will probably do little to enhance future MV property values. Surprised that HOA planted so many junky plants in people's yards.

McKinley Village was a controversial building project, built on a floodplain. However, it has turned into a great new community between the railroad tracks and Business 80 freeway. Yes, it is unfortunate that there's no freeway entrance or exit to this community and it will increase traffic on a normally sleepy side of East Sac, but I'm going to review the property itself since I have friends moving here.McKinley Village has a clubhouse that includes a small gym, swimming pool, spa, lounge, and kitchen area that residents can rent out for parties. Outside the closed clubhouse area is a neat children's playground and pickleball courts. The streets are lined with historic-looking street lights that match the ones in East Sac. The property is well-maintained (thanks to HOA fees) and the construction itself is well done compared to other new housing developments I've seen in Sacramento. Once everything is built, a new bridge is completed from McKinley Village to Midtown, and everyone moves in, I think it will be a nice, comfortable community to ride your bike through or take a stroll. There are cool pieces of art here too, which give it an extra touch of class. So, no matter how controversial it has been, McKinley Village is here to stay and they've done a great job.

If you're in the 20-40 age range and have a family, this is an ideal neighborhood. Kids love the pool, the numerous playgrounds, and the planned crafts sessions in the clubhouse. For their parents, there are lots of social events, esp around holidays. Neighbors are helpful and friendly. The location is underserved by public transit, with the nearest bus stop a full mile away. However, new routing is planned for 1/2020. Nearest grocery is Compton's, almost a mile away. I think the development is too car-dependent, but bikers are numerous and Jump bikes are usually near by. There's a lot of undeveloped land hereabouts, and that is a draw for the homeless.
