Great Play structure! My kids have been coming for years . The city keeps the park updated and clean . It has a tree house vibe , the wooden structure is awesome. Lots of cubbies to walk through

This is a nice park. Very fun for kids to play hide and seek as well. Lots of hiding spots and play area . For the house playground structure this place is very fun for kids even though some of the wood might have some tear .They have lots of big trees in the area and since it's a fall season u might won't get much shades but pretty sure this area is pretty shaded around spring or summer. This house playground has lots of slide and monkey bar area . The place is pretty pack with lots of kids.Definitely love this playground.

Six pickleball courts opened in McBean Park in October 2023. They are located where the McBean Skate Park used to be, so navigate there. It's a serene setting under the trees, but you might want to bring a broom or leaf blower, which some players thoughtfully do. You can look for drop-in open play sessions by creating a free account on the PlaytimeScheduler.com website. There are bleachers near the courts. I wish there were paddle racks.I heard from other players that the Lincoln community had the choice between 2 lighted courts or 6 unlighted courts. Lights are expensive! McBean Park is a large park covering 24 acres. Lots of green space. Baseball stadium, pool, playground, horseshoe pit, dog park. You can rent out the Gazebo, Pavilion, Pool, or Stadium for special events. McBean Park hosts Fourth of July fireworks annually, which is an all-day big family event with food trucks, vendors, and a baseball stadium event. McBean Stadium is home to the Lincoln Potters baseball team.

Huge park near downtown Lincoln that has lots to offer. Basketball, tennis baseball and so much more. Gazebo, vast expanses of lawn, freedom memorial area, and I could go on and on. Shady areas with trees and so much opportunity to play ball. A child's or overgrown child's dream. Memorial area for lots of navy people who gave their lives for our country. My friend zeroed in while paying respect and noticed plaque where the person was born in 2017 with no date of death. I couldn't really make sense of it. Early evening the park was buzzing with happy people filling the park and getting their practice in. Very nice scene. The park overall was under utilized. I would have thought it to be more popular on a warm evening on a weekend. If you live nearby possibly in a newer build home with little yard space you might really appreciate this area. I tend to love lawn best when I don't have to take care of it. This fits the bill.

Well, looks like my reviews show the focus has shifted from city dinners to parks and places that are kid friendly...such is life lol. But anyways McBean Park is so lovely! It's pretty large, has an array of swings and slides for all ages and best of all it's gated so I don't have to be paranoid about my toddler running towards cars. Such a perfect place to bring your kids to run around and get some energy out.

Real cool park.. Nice and spacious with huge lawn area and clean play structure. There's few tables but a blanket under a tree is just as nice. Restrooms here are clean and there's plenty of parking. They have a few basketball courts, and also have an indoor range (I saw a sign that says .22LR Rimfire only).

Like the location and layout of this park. 3 stars because why the hell isn't the pool open? You have to book a party there or wait for some special event?.... swings are good. Bathrooms are surprisingly clean. Nice field, stage and baseball fields. Skate park is cool with an empty dog park. They really need grass in there because it's so dusty. Basketball courts aren't too sunny but I wish more shade was there. Cool and creepy walk to the creek. Creepy because a big tree was scratched up as if a mountain lion used it as their scratching post. That damn pool though. Open that shit.

This review is limited to the playground. My kiddo loves to visit McBean park. I appreciate that the play area is mostly fenced in for easier wrangling. Lots of variations of climbing, bridges, and of course swings. They also offer a little sandpit, with no clear entrance, and several different sizes of equipment for little and the bigger kids. This park isn't very special needs friendly with the wood chips on the ground, but they do have a special needs swing in the very back of the play area. I also appreciate the bathrooms on site and lots of grassy area to move around in. The non-traditional play structures always excite my little one because it feels 'special'.

Last Saturday a friend an I cameUp here to play basketball around 2. It was my first time and this park is big and lovely. Looking for the basketball courts I mistakenly pulled into the side with the baseball field. Going around down the street it looked beautiful with nice shady areas, a birthday party going on, just overall a fantastic park. When I got to the basketball courts they were nice all had nets and 1 a chain. Behind it is a cool dog park area.
