Martha's Taqueria

My husband placed a to-go order for the "Chicken Flauta's Plate," but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The order was incomplete--we did not receive the beans or rice that were supposed to come with the plate. Additionally, the flautas themselves were were overcooked to the point of being burnt and were more like more like taquitos. The chicken inside was extremely dry, making them almost inedible. To top it off, the guacamole was completely missing from the order as well.I was really looking forward to enjoying this meal, but the quality and accuracy of the order fell far short of expectations. I hope this can be addressed to prevent similar issues in the future.

I live nearby and ordered take-out via phone call. Hostess was super friendly and helpful, and repeated my order back to make sure she got everything right. Even on a Friday night, food was ready within 10 minutes of calling and everyone in my house was very happy with their meals. Plus, when you come in to pick up your order, there's a free salsa bar with a bunch of salsas and limes.

First off the server was great! My husband had the Chiles rellenos. I had chimichanga with carnitas​. Or at least that's what I ordered. My husband's was great. The flavor on mine was great bar not tasting the meat. . There was about one tablespoon of carnitas in the entire burrito. Defiantly not worth the price. I understand we are all cutting costs but that's just not right. Won't come back. Not worth the risk of car being broken into by all the tweekers hanging out.

We stopped here for lunch and it was our first time. We've been here almost 10yrs and never knew about this hidden gem. The food was Amazing, a nice clean atmosphere, wonderful drinks and Awesome customer service. Our waitress Marisole was AMAZING!! She knew we were first timers and she had patience and she was running Everything. She was serving customers, taking in house to go, making drinks, answering the phones and serving food. She did all this with a beautiful smile. Thank you for our delicious food and Amazing experience. We will Definitely be back really soon. Our food was hot, fresh and just delicious!!!

We wanted something different for breakfast and thought we'd try Martha's since we have been curious about the place since we moved to the area. We were pleasantly surprised, it is small but lively inside! The food was very good, service was friendly and fast.

I'm going to go soft on this review.I'll start by saying that the service was good.So, keep in mind. I'm a tad ridged on my expectations because I honed my taste and flavor palette craft in Orange County, Ca. And if your a Mexican foodie like me, you already know that the competition in SoCal for good Mexican food is fierce and the margins between really good and epic is razor thin.So, this is my second time dining with Team Martha. Overall, I feel that their attempt at their craft is 1/2 baked. The rice was dry, the beans lacked flavor and the overall playing was sub par. I chose a simple layup. I chose the two item combination with an enchilada with carnitas and a chicken taco ( super taco?? ) I have them two stars because I feel that they know better and can do way better. The problem is that there is much competition for Mexican ( strip mall level ) food here so they all stay below the bar. In the Mexican food world you have your crap hole in the wall joints ( class C or D locations ) in the hood. Like you find in Santa Ana and Anaheim or possibly in South Sac. Which I'm a fan of by the way. I love authentic hood Mexican food frankly. You have your high end places like Javier's in Newport Coast, Ca and Century City. Which in my opinion is good food too, but once you get the $350 check, I kinda pull back a tad. I mean it's Mexican food bro! Relax Javier!!! It's trendy, I get it. Ease up on your prices! Anyhow, back to Martha's.Sadly I feel they need to retool and go back to the basics. Mexican food should start with a really good bean game and a really fresh rice game. Build from there. Stay away from the glitz of what you think the people want. It's all about flavor, temperature and presentation to me. Make some better sauces Build on that salsa. That creamy cilantro ranch you have is lacking flavor.The mild is way off, not far from El Pollo Loco salsa. Which if you know, you know. Prices fairLocation was good The flavor was a three out of ten. The food left me bloated and feeling low-key gross. The next morning, not so good. Lol The chips and salsa game was poor. Self serve from a buss tub ?? If Martha is alive, she'd be pissed you serve old stale chips from a grey buss tub. A waste of talent and a huge opportunity miss. I like that you have a bar area but try to work on your display. Stop trying to be what you're not and be authentic to what Mexican Cuisine is built on and get back to cooking. Don't serve people what you served me. It wasn't all trash, but let's say this, I'd rather spend another $4 and go to Carmelita's and drive way out of my way . Reinvent yourself. Start with fresh produce and freshly cooked beans and rice. Go back home and bring me with you ! Much love and respect.

Food was good, staff was friendly. One thing I like that is different from other Mexican restaurants is they have grilled onions and grilled jalapeños in the chips and salsa bar area, so good! We ordered a shrimp quesadilla and a chimichanga. The chimichanga was big and delicious! The salsas were fresh and homemade! Definitely recommend.

I ordered the lady read order back a few times to make sure it was correct my wife picked it up she said they was all really nice And OMG this is our New Mexican food spot not only did we get exactly what we ordered it tasted aaaammmaazziinngg thank you finally people who take pride in their job preparing food you don't get that to often anymore Oh an the portions was beyond what we expected A+++

CHECK YOUR ORDER !!!!!!! Ordered a few dozen tamales for Thanksgiving to take to family's home (Not cheap) It was a complete fail / embarrassment. This is what the first 3-4 people opened, just to throw them away. I quickly grabbed the rest and stored in fridge so no one else would grab. Took the rest home and tried to re-steam but could not get them to fully cook. Picture is after I re-steamed it. It was worse at Thanksgiving. Called the restaurant and they said someone would. Call me back but never did.

I don't know who was in the kitchen today at around d 3:30pm BUT they made the best burrito bowl ... I didn't think the bowls could get better until today OMG bravo THANK YOU it was door dashed or i woulda told you myself :) I am a huge fan of Martha's and bring everyone who comes to visit me here and I door dash at least twice a month
