I have not come to Market Square at Arden Fair Mall for a long time since the UA Theatres closed in this shopping center. I came to Market Square today to try to have dinner in the Hamburger restaurant inside the food court area. They are pretty good before the pandemic. Unfortunately! The restaurant is gone! Most of the businesses inside the building are closed too. I think they have 2-3 restaurants remaining in the food court. They are usually next to the UA Theatres. I guess all the restaurants in the food court suffer after the theatres are gone! The inside of the shopping mall looks like a ghost town. I don't think I want to have my dinner here. I am decided to have my dinner somewhere else!

Sad all the restaurants left. The Mexican food is good, but there is nothing else. It really isn't market square like it used to be. It is a ghost town.

Didn't realize so much has changed since the last time I was here. Sadly it's become void of any activity except Dos Coyotes in the back Mikuni and California Pizza in front and Japanese Yakitori & Subway in the middle. Theatre and the rest have sadly vanished. Glad the bookstore is still here, too. Hopefully, this spot will be reinvented with the spark it once had (remember Virgin Record, Max's, etc. or even the "Gourmet Lane Food" court of the 70's). . Think positive.

Great selection of products. The Apple Store, all of the clothing, and the sights are always appreciated. I wish there were more healthy food choices. There is plenty of parking. The vibe will change depending on the time, but in general it is a great place to shop! The architecture is impressive as well !

When ever my wife and I are in the Arden Way area in Sacramento Calif. We try to make it a point to stop by the Market Square in Arden Fair Shopping Mall. Here we can watch a movie or to have a bite to eat before heading back home.With-in the Market Square you'll find a United Artist Movie Theater, and at least 8 fantastic food venues scattered through-out the food court !There is something here to satisfy any taste bud. To name a few, "Taro's" for those who enjoy the freshest sushi and best Japanese cuisine around, "Dos Coyotes" Mexican food at its best ! "Panda Express" Always popularChinese food. "Pluto's" known for their fantastic salads ! "Subways" for healthy choices in sandwich , " Teriyaki Grill" delicious Japanese food at a reasonable price, and "Miabella" Gelato & Coffee".Since this is in the Arden Fair Shopping Mall, there is plenty of parking in front or in the rear of Marker Square. A perfect place kick your feet up and relax after a long day shopping , watch a movie, or to grab a bite to eat before heading home. Highly recommended for the whole family!

An interesting tidbit of history - 1963 saw a major expansion of Arden Fair Mall. With the expansion, located in what is now Market Square, was Food Circus, a 27,000 sq. ft. food court, that is widely considered to be the first mall food court in world. Today it would be inconceivable to have a mall without a food court so it's cool to think that the concept was born right here. Somewhere along the way, the mall got its own centrally located food court and Food Circus gave way to Market Square which became a separate dining and movie destination in its own right. Those days however are gone and the destination is no more. Despite being on the property, Market Square does not connect directly to the main mall. With the departure of the movie theater, the viability of the remaining space appears to be diminishing rapidly. Panda Express, Pluto's, Smash Burger and Ben & Jerry's have all gotten out of Dodge. Left are California Pizza Kitchen and Taro's hanging on with strong reputations and the benefit of perimeter locations. Making your way inward you will find a Teriyaki Grill, Burger IM, Dos Coyotes and a Subway that based on my lunchtime visit, all appear to be on their last gasps. At noon on a Tuesday, there was littteraly no one sitting in the common dining area, the Burger IM had three employees and not one customer in sight and the gelato place was closed despite having business hours that listed it as open. Though on the mall property, Market square does not directly connect to the actual mall. Take Taro's and California Pizza Kitchen our of the equation and it was literally a ghost town and hard to imagine how it can go on in the current state. They're going to have to find another draw to replace the lost movie theater. Otherwise, with so many other food choices in the area, it's easy to see why so many are forgoing the mall traffic and eating elsewhere.

What a sweet little food court! I actually like it. There are eateries that you don't see in Santa Clara or any know county in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am not big on eating out much but I really love the selection here. You can almost get everything that fits your taste here. If you want to have a business to business or business to customers meeting this Is the place to go. There is a lot to chose from. I personally like the Panda Express here. If you like American food then this is the place for you. It has a bit of a homely feeling. This is the good place to hangout with friends and family. On the hot days the air conditioning feels good. During winter this place is warm and really lively. The price is a bit off but I don't mind at all
