Margaret's Cafe & Bakery

Recently I had occasion to have lunch with my wife at Margaret's Cafe and Bakery while she planned her latest strategy on the Game of Thrones slot machine at the Jackson Rancheria. As always, Margaret's delivered prompt seating, reasonable quality food at a fair price well served. We both noticed that today the clam chowder was particularly thick, rich, and flavorful. The free paper to go with the meal was a plus. I am sure we will be back again soon.

The restaurant is inside Jackson Rancheria, and we went on a Saturday night for bingo. Although I hate smokers with a white hot passion (I have asthma), we went to Margaret's afterwards to eat. The smoke is also wafting into the restaurant because there's no closed walls. The food was decent, we all got pancakes. The service was good at first and then we had to wait for our waitress for the check. I think I'd choose Mel and Faye's diner next time with the food being about equal. Can someone, anyone build a casino that's non-smoking?!

Happen to be up RVing in the Jackson Rancheria RV Park and went up to gamble a bit. Decided to have a bite to eat at Margaret's Cafe. Glad we did.My taco salad was delicious. Fresh ingredients and loads of jalapenos! The tapatia sauce was excellent. A bit of heat and tons of flavor. My wife had the Patty Melt and really enjoyed it. I tried a bite and it was very good. Fries were good. Our server, Tristin, was a delight. Very good personality and on the ball. Really enjoyed talking with her.The ambience is good for a diner. Plenty of room and very clean. Good experience as we enjoy old school diners.

Nice stopping place to eat. Casino is clean and spacious. Our breakfast was excellent and service was equally good. Might have to look into staying at this casino resort next trip over!

Our 2nd time here at this casino-it will be our last too, lady wasn't really too friendly, no customer service skills, salad on display salad was really nice, big salad and waitress served me wasn't really match up to display and frankly, waitress was rude and was not friendly at all. Picture can tell a thousand words!

Very good service, pleasant atmosphere, good food. The only issue was the smell of cigarettes from the gaming area.

Decided to stop by this little cafe after checking out the casino with a relative. We were there on a late Friday morning and they sat us immediately. The speed and service were really good in my opinion. Got their CA omelet which wasn't bad but nothing to rave about. Also found it strange that they charged $2 extra if you wanted toast with your breakfast meal. Not a bad place at all though if you're hungry and want a quick but fresh bite to eat within the casino.

Tried a new dish at Margaret's Cafe, a shrimp scampi wit rigatoni in a light sauce of some kind. This entree came in a fairly large portion.What it lacked and from what the server asked was how could it be improved?Well let's start with the pasta which was fairly starchy and lacked any sauce to take up in the rigatoni.The sauce could be improved with more broth, garlic, butter, wine, Parmesan cheese, and a dash of red pepper, juice of half a lemon, and starch to thicken sauce. Some herbs such as basil or parsley may brighten the dish. We aren't asking for a 4-5 star prep, just some flavor! I think it would be a great addition to your offerings! Some sour dough or garlic bread to mop up the tasty sauce would be great if it doesn't take it over budget!Thanks, Bob

The food was fantastic, i had salad and chicken strips with fries, hubby had the California bacon sandwich and it was also amazing. The service was excellent, clean, and we were served really quickly. Great price too! Definitely always a good meal!

We tried Margaret's Cafe inside Jackson Casino. It was really good. We had the California Burger and the Margaret's Big BLT with a salad. The waitress (Cheri) was really nice and gave great customer service. I would have given 5 stars but because the location of the restaurant is inside the casino, it's hard to not smell the strong cigarette smoke. I would eat here again if I stopped by the Casino for sure.
