M & B Discount Wine & Liquor

I've been a patron of M & B weekly for the last 24 years. What I love is that 95% of the time, I stop by to participate in "their family atmosphere" and making a purchase is merely a byproduct of being there and each family member from top to bottom (so to speak) knows me by name and we consider ourselves friends. Most customers are greeted by name followed by a brief or long conversation about specifics in their lives. I love the "advice and counseling sessions" that range from in-depth product knowledge to life situations and circumstances. I am certain that I would travel across town rather than go up the street to partake in that atmosphere. I am blessed to know T., P., C., S., and Y. In short, I HIGHLY recommend their family store.

Don't judge a book by its cover, or a liquor store by its exterior or its location. This is an unassuming shop that you would expect most wouldn't stick around inside, or go for anything else than a quick liquor fix. What sets them apart, however, is local family ownership, friendly service and a surprising selection that goes well beyond the basics. Sure, there are plenty of the "cheap" options. Your 40s, your mid-to-bottom shelf stuff. But you shouldn't have come in expecting some top shelf bottle of whiskey or someone who can explain the notes to a 15 year old scotch. Surprisingly, the prices are pretty decent to, so you can rest assured that coming here because it is convenient won't make you curse not taking the extra trip to the big box store. If supporting small and local is important and you live in the neighborhood, give them a try!

My dad has owned this store for years now!! It's safe to say I practically grew up here. Our customers are like our family, most coming in and recollecting stories of my childhood I was too young to remember! The people who come into our store are kind, loving, and loyal. What I love most is the atmosphere. Our customers, employees, and my family, but especially our customers make coming into the store so fun, always a new story, always someone who makes your day a hell of a lot better. Our product and selection is phenomenal as well, but our customers create great vibes at our store.This post is honestly just a thank you to our customers!

Great shop! A friend turned me on to this place, I was wondering if his recommendation was legit when I pulled up, but once inside the staff was super friendly and helpful. They have a phenomenal selection and great prices. This place is a bit of a drive for me, but I never regret taking the extra time and supporting a business that cares about their customers. Highly recommend stopping by.

This is a small, locally owned liquor store located in a strip mall the looks of which give you no expectation that this place would be as good as it is.It's located in a fairly popular and busy strip mall, but even with that there will always be parking when you arrive. This is not the most affluent area-it's a working poor kind of place so not as bad as it could be-I've never been panhandled, but it's the extreme opposite of the not too far away arden fair mall. The store is on the medium to small size as far as these things go. They kind of make a specialty of your mid grade adult beverage choices. So no magnum of grey goose, or pappy van winkle. Other then that however there is a good selection of craft beer/spirits such as baker's, noah's mill, and hanger 1. Pricing is quite reasonable and the staff are some decent people.All in all not too shabby a place for your adult beverage needs.

Online ordering is a waste of time as this place does no inventory management. They allow a purchase to go through, but in the end the item is not in stock and a big waste of time!

I hate leaving a negative review but I also hate when businesses advertise that items are available and then cancel your order due to insufficient stock on hand. So, unfortunately, a poor experience and 1 star review for me.

Best shop in Sac!! They are very personable and are very knowledgeable on all of their spirits. Unlike a diva like store in west sac, they treat you with respect.

Great service with realistic prices. I contacted Tony through Instagram, he was able to ship a bourbon that I have not been able to find in San Jose. It was great to get some extra goodies in the package as well. Nothing pairs as nicely as bourbon and sour patch kids! This would be my store if I lived in Sacramento. Will definitely make it a priority to stop by on our way up to Tahoe.
