Ohhh way too long..
Super thin frozen crust and massive chunks of soggy meat. No thanks
If you haven't been here since the remodeling this is what the bar area looks like
Small Louisiana shrimp pizza.

Cheese pizza was burnt, way too salty, and overall tasted way worse than a 10 dollar pizza I could get within 1 minute from my house.

This has been my family's favorite pizza spot for 20 years. We moved relatively close to it 20 years ago, ordered take out and our lives were forever changed. We always order the same thing so I can only speak on literally one menu item lol. The meat lovers with WHITE sauce - trust me it needs to be white sauce. The crust is nice and thin and has the perfect crunch. They do not skimp on the meat either. Lastly, this place has the BEST ranch. Seriously. So creamy and not runny. So good. They semi-recently redid the inside and it's modern and clean. The staff is always helpful when I have gone in but 9 times out of 10 I order out.

I have to say, wow, the pizza was really delicious! The flavors were spot on, and it definitely lived up to the hype. However, I did have some issues with the service at the counter. It felt like there was a bit of a delay, and the staff seemed a little overwhelmed, which made getting our drinks a bit frustrating. If only we got our beer right after we ordered and then they attended to the next customer, instead of attending to a few before they brought our beer over 15 minutes later (twice they did this), the experience would have been better. Overall, the food was great, the ambiance was just as expected, and although improving the service would make the experience even better, don't get me wrong, they were friendly...maybe it was just me on a Friday night needing my beer sooner than later? Either way, next time I'll bring my patience because the pizza is so worth it!

Great pizza if you are going to a show at the Colonial. Great service, laid back atmosphere, love the servers. Music is playing and ball games are on tv.

Had a hankering for a slice and salad. Was nearby so I figured I would give Luigi's a shot once again. Memories of this place are long from back in the day. Used to be a really good greasy pizza. Walked in around 3 o'clock to a nearly empty restaurant. Sat at the bar and watch some TV. Slices were 650 so I decided to get a personal and a salad. First, let me say the prices are pretty high for what you get. $15 for a personal cheese only. Round table offers four topping personal with a soda for 1199. Ordered a personal pepperoni and a side salad with vinegar et. Pizza came out load of pepperoni and hot. It's not the same as it once was and the sauce tasted a lot different. It was a decent pie, but I left there feeling a little bit gypped by the high cost of that personal pie. Salad was just a basic garden salad in a tiny bowl that was overflowing with ingredients. Had to ask for a bigger bowl so I could spread it all out and put my dressing on with Parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper at the live it up. Ordered a Sprite to wash all this down. All told $26 +tip. Service was good and the restaurant was clean, but the price was just too much. And the quality was not worth the cost. I don't like to speak negatively about a long-standing establishment, but I feel this is necessary. They get a a for effort, but they fall short of the past reputation

Above average pizza for Sacramento and a pretty chill parlor to eat it in. The crust is nice and crunchy and the toppings taste hearty and high quality. Good pizza overall.

Here is my two cents on the taste quantity quality of this Italian restaurant.. it was delivered in a timely manner with the driver. Cannot follow my instructions on locating my apartment....I ordered a cold pastrami sandwich, an ant, pasta, salad, and a spaghetti and meatball ..See photos of all item's..As you can see all of the items were absolutely too small for the price.. taste of the cold pastrami and antipasto salad was just barely consumable ..On top of the list, the spaghetti and meatballs were the worst I have ever tasted .. I paid an extra five dollars for two meatballs that were the size of golf balls that were absolutely the worst I have ever had no basil no oregano and absolutely no garlic...The noodles were not cooked al dente that is traditional for Italian noodles .. They were tasteless and slimy like a couple of fishing worms ready to be placed on a hook.. I would have gotten a better spaghetti and meatballs at a local cafeteria in a kinder garden school ..So obviously anyone that frequent this place for spaghetti meatballs must have a mental IQ of a seven or eight year old ...So I warn you avoid this place like it has the black plague for spaghetti and meatballs .A note about the cold pastrami sandwich .. Of course, the only thing good about it was the roll was fresh and fluffy .The pastrami was shaved in so much that you could probably actually see-through of what there was on the sandwich ..It tasted fine, but definitely not worth the money .

I recently moved to the neighborhood and have fallen in love with Luigis. I have had AMAZING service almost everytime i came in except this one time when a girl named Emily behind the bar. The manager was at the bar too and i guess was okay with her being inattentive.. i felt like i was bothering her and a fly on the wall I was disappointed and hesitant to come back but the food is so good! I came back and was helped by Mary Jane and I'm so glad I came back because she restored my love for this place with her professionalism, attentiveness and friendly nature. She was absolutely awesome and represents a landmark like this place perfectly. Thank you!!!

Ordered takeout. Totally ignored when I walked in. Person didn't even acknowledge me, walked right past me to do something. Talking on the phone. Finally got to me and my phone order didn't appear to be in their system even though my payment cleared. Finally found my pizza and made me sign a receipt even though I used Apple Pay and had already paid. Got home and they forgot my ranch. Then bit into the pizza and THE BASIL WAS ROTTEN. I mean completely rotten! I looked at it and you could see where it had turned black not from cooking but from being rotten. For a $40+ pizza, I expect better. Don't waste your money.

Well at one point in time I said Luigi's pizza was the best in Sacramento. Since the original owner died the kids have taken over the place remodeled it looks a little bit better than it did. I was in a hurry so i ordered on the way out to the restaurant so i didnt have to wait as long for it to be done. I showed up went up and paid for the pizza got a couple drinks. Sat waiting for the pizza while looking at a box in the pizza warming holder they have. They knew who I was I paid for the pizza. We waited and waited at least 20 minutes while people came in and picked up pizza and enjoyed nice hot pizza right out of the oven like I should have enjoyed my pizza. After waiting 20 minutes longer than I was told. Someone finally brings out a box of pizza i was looking at the whole time I was there. PIZZA was cold. ONLY OFFERED $15 credit! When you pay for the pizza they ask for a tip when you pay. I try to be a good person and added 20% tip. WHAT A JOKE 50 bucks for a cold crappy pizza I had to reheat when I got home. NEVER AGAIN! The original owner would never have allowed this.
