Delicious drive in food, promptly delivered, and holy crap a double decker bus in the back! The cashier lady was so friendly, the place is super clean and really makes you feel like you stepped back a few decades.Also massive benefit of this place is the BOUNTIFUL parking, we ate and then walked to Gunther's a block down for some ice cream, a perfect evening.The fries here are awesome and their in house made special sauce is DIVINE.

The restaurant is really well decorated on the inside, it's like night and day from the outside appearance. Very Retro. I like that they have a really simple menu of burgers, fries, hotdogs and shakes. They also have chicken breast substitutions for the burgers. The fries are beer battered and a really healthy portion too. I believe it was under $15 for the burger combo with a milk shake. The burger was a solid 4/5. A little too messy for my liking, too much sauce the bread falls apart. The onions are chopped in to big chunks. They have sauces they sell separately, I tried the fried sauce(thousand island dressing) and the garlic aioli. I preferred the aioli. The service was really quick and everyone was nice. It looks super clean inside and they play oldies music. This is not a true drive in. No one will take your order at your car window. There is a large parking lot but it needs to be repaved. Lots of huge holes.

Wow, just wow. THE FRIES, literally wow. The burgers were absolutely delicious with a perfectly toasted and fluffy bun. This is a no bs type of spot with a simple menu but their burgers are fully customizable. You can even mix their milk shake flavors. Amazing and friendly order at the counter service. My ONLY complaint is the lighting in the restaurant is a pretty harsh white light but you get over that pretty quickly after trying the food.

Really wanted to like this place. It's a local business, and it's literally 10 mins. from our house. However, it wasn't meant to be. We had the Lucky burger, the Bacon Ranch, fries and a peanut butter milkshake. Where do I start ? The good. Both fries and the milkshake were good, and thus the "2." However, the bad. Both burgers were tasteless. The patties on both burgers just didn't have any flavor. Not sure if it was an off night, but how could you go wrong on a basic burger and a burger w/ bacon and ranch. BTW, the later was just overpowered by the really salty bacon, and it had no ranch dressing at all. Anyways, hope they do better, and pls at least put some salt and pepper on them patties. BTW, I'd suggest hiring more staff also. Only one cash register was open when we were there.

Love this place! Was passing by from out of town and we got a craving for burgers. They were rated pretty high and there were quite a few diners inside. They explained that they had moved from another location and you could tell that it was a very recent move. Bathrooms were clean, staff super friendly, nice atmosphere, but the food is WHERE ITS AT! My god, I don't think I've ever had a better mushroom and Swiss burger. The garlic aioli was amazing. Potato bun - superb. Fries? I love this specific style, as they make it extra crunchy. Lucky sauce was also a great pairing. Affordable too, in today's economy comparatively. I was thiiiis close to buying another burger for the ride home!We could also go in the bus on the patio, but it's not yet ready for diners. Nice covered patio area, with plenty of seating. Can't wait to be back and bring friends and family! Whatever they're doing here is working - a top burger spot for sure!!

I love trying hot and new businesses and Yelp brought me to Lucky's Drive-In! I was craving a burger after running a bunch of errands for work and took the opportunity to stop by. It was late afternoon and I had no problem finding a spot in their HUGE parking lot. This is definitely a plus, as it will always be easy to stop in with the amount of parking available. It's also great for groups!I walked in and was greeted by the person at the front counter, I asked for some recommendations as I was about to order just the Lucky Burger since it's the name the the restaurant. They recommended I try the Mushroom and Swiss which they said was their favorite and I was happy to change my mind and take their advice.I ordered the Mushroom & Swiss with a chocolate shake and fries ($14.95). They gave me a buzzer and I explored the restaurant and took some pictures while I waited.The outside area is great, with plenty of seating and it looked like they're renovating the double decker to add even more seating. It's also dog friendly with an gate to bring your dogs in from the side onto the outdoor patio. They did have some leashes attached to the wall where you could tie your dog while you head inside to order, but I probably wouldn't take advantage of that- my dog would bark his head off if I ever left him alone. (I'll just send my other half in instead)The meal didn't take long and was hot and fresh in the to-go bag. I opted for the smaller shake and it was thick and rich, just the way I like my shakes. It was almost better to have the car ride home, because when I arrive it was sippable but still thick. The burger was flavorful and the fries were battered and nice and crispy with good seasoning. I also decided to sample each of their house made sauces and these were great paired with the burger and fries. The Garlic Aioli was great on the burger and the Lucky sauce, Hot Mess and Ranch were all great on the fries. I will be back soon and I'm excited to explore more of the menu and order another shake!

After weeks of driving by this place and always wondering how the food is, we decided to give Luckys a try. They have an indoor area and the outdoor patio with a double decker bus outside. The bus doesn't have any seating and it's probably just for decor. In the summer the patio might be the move for many tho. We came in on a Wednesday evening and it wasn't busy but still expected the food to be really good. The menu isn't really big which is honestly better for places as they don't get lost in different recipes. The staff were nice and pretty helpful but it's mainly counter service so don't really expect the full experience. All we ordered were two Lucky burgers and a large fry and some sides of ranch and the spicy ketchup.The burgers weren't the best but they weren't the worst. I feel like i've had many other burgers in Sac that are better but this one isn't bad. The ranch tho was pretty meh and the spicy ketchup wasn't really spicy( mainly tasted like siracha mixed with ketchup). Out of 10 I give the burgers a respectable 7, I would probably come by and taste a different burger and maybe give the shake a try.

yup returned within the same week to try their other offerings. Ordered three different items:1) instead of a burger ordered a chicken breast sandwich w/just lettuce and bbq sauce. decent size and appeared to be real chicken - but ir was a little dry. will stick with their burgers. 2) ordered two patties instead of one burger patty. It was good, juicy and meaty-but i think i will stick with a single patty. It was a gut bomb. 3) chilli cheese dog: 1/4 pound beef hot dog with chilli/cheese/onions. it was decent. Again will stick with their single cheese burgers and shakes . Oh their chilli doesn't have any beans- for the chilli debate- should chilli have beans...or not? Bottom line - They make great beef burgers here.

Stopped in for a burger today and was pleasantly surprised, I had a double Lucky Burger with bacon and fries, great burger with all the toppings, cooked to perfection with a very tasty bun, fries were fresh an seasoned just right. Try the spicy ketchup ! Of course I also had a chocolate shake, a great choice. If you're not into the burger they also make a grilled chicken sandwich . If a hot dog is your thing they are usually grilling Hebrew National or Nathan's . So you can't go wrong !I can't wait until my visit!
