For those of you looking for that caffeine fix and wish to venture out of the Sacramento area, "Love Birds Coffee & Tea Co." will have you covered. Ever since their opening back in 2016, this has been a wildly popular spot to enjoy inside or on-the-go with their convenient drive-thru. Located right next to a Quik Stop gas station and a Subway, this place is conveniently at the corner of Diamond Rd (Highway 49) and Pleasant Valley Rd in the small community of Diamond Springs. I also wanted to mention that they have very generous hours of operation being opened Monday through Saturday from 5:30am to 4:30pm while being closed on Sunday.I ended up coming here during the afternoon of Saturday 6/15/2024 at around 2:15pm. Since this was well past the morning rush, there were no other customers inside and not a single vehicle parked directly outside. As far as the exterior layout, it uses freestanding rocks which gives it a castle-like appearance. The interior though is very impressive as they've utilized the walls with floral-type balconies, a large painting with more floral arrangements surrounding it, and vintage furniture which has a very nostalgic look as if you've stepped back in time. I also wanted to point out that there is a spacious outdoor sitting area for the most comfortable days.First and foremost, the menu here is quite impressive with a huge selection of coffees, espressos, teas, quenchers, blended drinks, and smoothies. They also carry a nice assortment of breakfast sandwiches, bagels, burritos, croissants, and crepes. And for the lunch crowd, they even offer pizza, pasta, soup, and traditional sandwiches. I ended up ordering a slice of their pepperoni pizza with a small mango smoothie while my significant other went with a bacon, egg, & cheddar bagel with an iced Americano. Our drinks were ready within a couple minutes while our food came shortly thereafter.I will say that the mango smoothie was delicious as it was refreshing without being too overbearingly sweet. However, the pizza was just okay for me as it was a bit on the soggy side and not too crisp. Same goes with the bagel as there were more small clumps of bacon (instead of full-cut bacon). And the eggs, they resembled more of a processed scramble egg with a perfectly cut square; I have a feeling it might be frozen and heated to save time. However, the bagel was good and had nice texture to it. Still at $10 for the breakfast bagel, this was a bit on the pricier side. All in all, "Love Birds Coffee & Tea Co." is a decent place that has a lot of character and charm to it. The young staff working here were very kind, courteous, and accommodating while the ambiance is definitely a home run in my book. I'd stick with the coffee as this is their strong point. But for a stop before work or even if you're heading to Tahoe or the foothills, this is a decent above average business. My rating, four stars.

Great coffee, always spot on. Blackberry scone. No berries. Not a single one. There were hints of a blue smudge but not one berry. Sad and disappointed. Will focus on the tasty coffee.

Quite a peculiar space, the interior is quirky but sort of adds to the charm. First thing worth noting is the very friendly staff. Acknowledgment of waiting even one minute goes along way. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant and a Vanilla Breve. The gentleman told me their ham and cheese croissants were delicious so I was even more intrigued. I received my coffee first, it was decent, the vanilla flavor didn't taste like a Torani syrup not sure how they sweetened it because it has an odd aftertaste. The ham and cheese croissant was microwaved which made it soggy and made me sad. I left underwhelmed but just as I was leaving the nice guy at the front waved goodbye and wished me a good day and that was my last impression. I threw the coffee away but the smile made me happy.

We came to try this place because we read about their fresh roasted coffee. Two stars because my Americano was pretty good. The breakfast sandwiches, however, were inedible. The egg was a hard, weird-shaped rectangle with cheese melted on top. I thought maybe it was pre-made and microwaved but one had burn marks on the bottom. In any case I took one bite and that was enough. The bagels were also very strange. Dense and lumpy with no flavor. The jalapeño and everything tasted the same. The place is cute and the sweet baked goods looked interesting but we can't get past those sandwiches. I hate wasting food but those went straight to the bin.

As much as I want to rave about this place like other Yelpers, I wasn't really thrilled about being served baked goods that were a bit past their prime. I was most looking forward to trying the buttermilk cinnamon roll but although it was packed with cinnamon & milky flavor it had considerable staleness on the inside. The lemon loaf had so much condensation in it that it had the texture of a wet sponge. The bakery case being only about 1/5 filled at the time should've been a red flag but I'm not sure when the next time I'll be in the area. Tasty stuff (especially the cinnamon roll) but I didn't vibe with the lack of freshness.I tried additional things here and I enjoyed them much more! No skimping on the house made lavender & vanilla syrup in the London fog. Deliciously potent lavender taste though the drink was a little too sweet for me. I still liked it overall. My favorite thing that I tried was actually the yogurt parfait. Super plump berries in it! Wouldn't be surprised if they were grown right from the farmlands in the area. Silky yogurt and flavorful crunchy granola. Great little treat for breakfast.Very fun colorful interior here. Faux French Quarter window balconies with hanging lights on the high walls. Plentiful seating, indoor and outdoor.
