Louisiana Fried Chicken

I know this is a chicken spot but you gotta get some fish! Hidden gem in a strip mall. Reminds me of LA. The inside is very clean and the guy behind the counter is friendly and funny. He "talked my husband into" the salt and pepper wings after I pointed them out. He said oh yeah all the black peoples come in and order them! Lmao! We got two orders of salt and pepper wings and a 20 piece catfish meal which comes with 2 large sides, 6 rolls, hot sauce and southern style tartar sauce. First off fish is delicious fried, not greasy and packed well for takeout. Fried okra was good but I felt it was better dipped in tartar sauce:). I was concerned about getting hush puppies but it wasn't a mistake. They were crunchy on the outside with a moist flavorful dough. Best part was the salt and pepper chicken, so good makes me wish I was closer to Oak Park! Go get some people!

The best fried chicken I've had in quite a while. The pricing is so reasonable and the service is quick. It's a family owned shop and they were really kind. The painting inside was cute. I would def be back again, it's my second time here and I'll keep coming back

0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND Cashier did not inform me of missing food items and UNDERCOOKED FOOD @pickup nor call me on the phone to tell me I placed phone order I get home with said food and call once I notice the cashier hangs up says they busy I go up there it's 3 ppl in there mind you they busy smh... they wouldn't even acknowledge me nor give me a refund only speaking their language to eachother I had to threaten to call the cops THEY NEED TO CLOSE DOWN or get cited by sanitation they will take your money and just say oh well I spent 60 on 3 meals one was a family meal missing chicken smh never again CHECK ON YOUR FOOD only getting 1star because I had to

Nice levels of spice on the fish and chicken. The chicken and fish were hot and fresh - as in straight out the fryer. The fish was a little mushy, and I didn't think to ask what kind it was. Some kinds are firmer than others.Good prices.No sit down seating, which is OK because it gave time for the food to cool down!

the chicken and fish are always cooked to perfection!!! y'all gotta stop putting sugar or brown sugar in your gravy!!! gravy is savory it's not supposed to be sweet!!!! and just a suggestion maybe stop putting the fries in the paper bags they make the fries soggy!!! when you get home or doing a delivery those fries are not the same!!!
