Louie Oliver's Restaurant & Bar at Harrah's Northern California

Took a day trip to Ione with my parents and had to end the day at Harrah's! This was my first time visiting this casino and I was pleasantly impressed! It wasn't overly crowded or smelled of smoke. The chairs were comfortable and I liked the free drink stations lol. We noticed they had free live music at Louie Oliver's so we made a reservation and played some slots as we waited.We got great seats not too far from the stage.The drinks were wonderful! I enjoyed my cocktail.I got the prime rib dinner available Fri&Sat, medium rare. It was delicious! One of the best prime ribs I've had in a long time! And I enjoyed the baked potato with the fixings and asparagus.Wonderful experience at Louie Oliver's!

Had lunch here Friday afternoon with my husband. My husband had the fish tacos which he really liked. He said that the first bite was spicy, but after that first bite all of the flavors seemed to meld together to make a delicious taco. I had the pork char siu which was served with fried rice. The char siu was delicious. Very saucy and I think made with pork belly. Lots of pork meat with just enough fat to add that delicious pork belly flavor. The fried rice was fine and made a good accompaniment to the dish although some plain jasmine rice would've been great (I think even better) with the char siu.The service was quick and the restaurant nice and quiet. We really enjoyed our lunch. The reason for the three star rating is because of the cost. For our two meals, no drinks, our total was $32 prior to tipping. These items were listed under shareable, so I guess they are really appetizers, but I thought the cost was a little high when considering the somewhat small size of the plates.We both said we would get what we ordered again...but I would have to ensure it's a good gambling day as opposed to a bad gambling day and that we aren't super hungry.

My best friend and I took a girls' trip on a Saturday to gamble, relax and catch up. We decided to have lunch here, and were greeted and seated quickly and in a welcoming fashion. All staff members were excellent! Our server was fantastic - always there when we needed her, and checking in on us without being intrusive. (I wish I knew her name because she really deserves some major accolades.) The charcuterie board was delicious, as were our salads - the Caesar and the cranberry. The Sonoma Cutrer chardonnay was also wonderful. What a perfect lunch! It was an A+++ experience!

Headed out to Harrah's for a date night, we did not make prior reservations before we arrived but was able to check in and put our names on the waitlist without a long wait time. Service was quick and our waitress was friendly and attentive. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip to start; it was a bit too cheesy for my liking, that is own preference. I ordered the signature burger and ooooo my word was the burger spicy!!!! I knew it came with jalapeños but that one made me cry, but although it was a bit on the spicy side I still enjoyed it. Will come back and try something different next time

We've been here a couple of times and food doesn't disappoint! So far I liked everything. Ambiance is nice and service is great!

Honestly we love Harrah's. It's close to home, good vibes, clean. However Louie Oliver's has some of the worst service for a Bar/Restaurant we've had at any Harrahs Property let alone any in the Valley. It's hard to imagine coming back a few times, sitting in the bar area and not being greeted or served for 10-15+ minutes each time. This is while there is 6+ employees just doing their thing, besides do the THING which is just saying hi, and just checking in with a table that's been waiting for service. The Vibe is here, but whomever is working on 6/30 clearly has other priorities then helping people. We walked out after 15 minutes of not being helped. Cheers.

Ordered the shrimp scampi and NY steak. Each dish was pretty good. Wish they gave more shrimp. The service was good but also slow. There was a group of servers and bartenders at the bar talking to a couple customers who's conversation was quite loud and we can tell they were not working. Our server was very nice and friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. She gave really great recommendations on side dishes. The wait time for the food seemed really long (30 mins +) even though the restaurant was not full. Also i wished the dishes came to us more steaming hot.

The customer service was good.The wait time for food was a little long but worth the wait. The steak burger with garlic fries was really good. The burger was delicious and juicy.

The food is pricey and just meh so is the ambiance. The server was nice but not in a hurry at all and it was not busy at all. Disappointed we were really excited to have a nice place close to us to have a nice evening out.

Excellent service and delicious food! Donna was our server, she was amazing. When I finished my plate and another server happened to be walking by, my plate was cleared immediately. Love the team work!! And the pomegranite margarita was so good. We will absolutely be back!
