LJ's Beef Jerky

I haven't had this in quite some time. Can't find time to drive to Sacktown for this so ordered online, but this jerky is not worth missing out on, must be tried at least once. I can safely say it's the best I've had in my life. Closest second was Yosemite's hot teriyaki flavor, but a far 2nd. Don't expect healthy, it's not without alot of fat, msg, heat and sugar; but you cannot compare the flavor, texture or anything else about it to another jerky with a sane face. Expect crispy meat and fat jerky pieces flavored to perfection and a bit of grease in that crunch. They do not waste the fat and I truly appreciate this. Definitely not as healthy but also doesn't waste so much of the animal only to make a slightly healthier product. It's a treat, not an everyday eat, though you'll wish you could. Favorite by far is the Original Hot (miss the extra hot), and the original garlic for a first try was surprisingly good (garlic lovers only).Please support this little company, I first tried this over 5 years ago and they have not compromised at all on flavor.

THIS IS IT! THIS IS THE BEEF JERKY I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR!I've never been the biggest fan of beef jerky because I have only tried stuff like Jack Link's: dry, hard, and too chewy. But when I had friends who shared beef jerky from out of town with me from elsewhere, I HAD to search for something similar in the area and LJ's Jerky hits my craving!!I wanted something spicy, slightly sweet, and crispy to where it would flake/break off and easy to chew for my sensitive teeth and this jerky is perfect! As soon as I took my first bite, I was already thinking how dangerously addicting these could be. This is my first time purchasing online from LJ's and it took about a week for my jerky to arrive in the mail (I also received an email of the USPS tracking number once it was shipped - about 3 to 4 business days). I'm very happy with the quality and taste of the jerky and will definitely be ordering again when I run out.I'm just a little sad that even though I'm also in Sacramento, the shipping costs $8.50, which costs more than one 2.5oz packet of jerky. I want to buy it in stores but I don't want to go hunting for it around town, since there is no guarantee that any listed locations would have them in stock so unfortunately, I'll have to stick to the expensive shipping price until I decide to search for it in stores.

My mouth is currently on fire, yet I would put it through that pain again for this jerky. I happen to just be looking for somewhere new to shop so I drove out to Sacramento from Suisun. I found an asian market called SF Supermarket, and I saw this jerky being sold at the registers. I wasn't even going to buy it but I told myself, you know, I don't come out here often. Last chance to try something new, so I bought it. I didn't even realize that I bought HOT. After I opened it and felt the jerky in my hands I knew this was going to be the one I was searching for. I don't like chewy jerky. I like them crispy and breaks when you bend them. The only thing that could have made this better was if it was brittle. The taste was sweet and spicy and crispy! I LOVE IT.

Straight up more sugar and corn syrup than meat. Got their "HOT" and it tasted like a plain piece of taffy with pepper flakes. Perhaps this is some different culture's interpretation of jerky, but this honky is left totally confused as to how the 2.5oz I purchased was worth $8.

Known the owners for a long time since they first started selling. The price has definitely gotten steeper since the business began because it's so dang good but overall you can't find better jerky than this. I recommend the spicy beef jerky. If you can't take spice their teriyaki is pretty bomb too if they still sell it. Many Asian stores sell this and they are restocked on certain days so best to ask the workers when they get restocks for fresher jerky.Sucks that the bags the jerky comes in is so small. They used to sell huge bags about 1-2 pounds of jerky but I never see that anymore sadly.

My little sister first introduced me to this beef jerky brand. They have an original kind and a HOT kind. The bf recently picked some up at the SF Supermarket in Sacramento (free parking lot with other businesses). Not sure where else they sell it. Not gonna lie... the jerky is pricey ($6.50/pack) and probably not good for you but it tastes delicious! It's savory, spicy and also caramelized. There are some fatty parts but they taste good too. Really good flavor!

This Jerky is amazing! I was on a remote project in Northern California and starting buying this jerky at a nearby market. Over a one-week period, I purchased probably 8-10 bags of different flavors and it was devoured immediately. Once back home in Idaho, I ordered 10 more bags to be shipped to my home. This stuff has no comparison!

Literally the best jerky I have ever had ! I order directly from website and they are quick to response and quick to send out a fresh batch. I love all the regular flavors and the onion flavors ! Already making my mouth water just thinking about it. Super crunchy and bursting with sooo much flavors ! If you're craving, I recommend ordering directly from website. It's soo much more fresh and crispy compared to the stores ! And you get to order the onion flavor which is very delicious!
