My 3.5 year old son has been going here since he was about 1.5 years old. Thanks to this school he can count to 10 in six different languages and is on the fast track to being advanced. They put a lot of emphasis on education, no TVs playing throughout the day and constantly pushing the children to live up to their potential. Would highly recommend to anyone that wants their child to have top-notch early education.

Both my 5 year son and my 1 year old daughter have had the opportunity to be a part of this great Montessori. Now that my son is in Kindergarten we as parents and his teachers can see how the Montessori and how Ms. Devika's teaching and nurturing methods have helped him as a kinder and excelled in his reading, writing and social skills. My daughter is there 5 days a week and loves it. We know that once she gets into Kinder, those Montessori skills will definitely make a difference. Both Ms. Devika and her husband take care of my kids like family...It's homely, clean and close -knit.

My son has gone to this Montessori school for almost two years now. We will be enrolling my infant in January. I am very particular on what school I put my children in because I do not want them just playing all day. If you want your child to be ready for kindergarten then I highly recommend this school. They emphasize structure and proven learning methods to help the children learn. This isn't just a job for the teacher "Mrs. Devika", this is her lifestyle Monday through Friday. The smaller atmosphere also has helped the children create a special bond as friends, no matter what age.

My daughter has been attending Little Friends since she was 3 months old. She's now over 3 and her little baby brother just started and she loves Mrs. Devika like family. Many people comment how smart and intellectual she is for her age - she's so well behaved and well mannered as well. Mrs. Devika also does an adorable graduation ceremony and christmas program that is so special for the children and parents. There isn't ever a day my child doesn't want to go to school and we have always felt so safe with her as our caregiver of our children. You will be amazed by how much your kids will learn.

Stay away. I would not recommend this daycare/school. Within the first 1 1/2 weeks our son lost 5lbs and would tremble in fear everytime we dropped him off. We stopped taking him there after the first 1 1/2 weeks and enrolled him into another Montessori School where we he didn't exhibit the same issues and was again happy. Something was seriously wrong there.

Our daughter first went to Little Friends Montessori as a 3 month old it was recommended by a close friend. As a first-time mom, I was nervous to send my very young infant to daycare, and having this personal connection really helped me feel more comfortable. The wonderful environment and happy kids put my mind at ease as every time I would drop her off or pick her up. She was being wellcared for: being held, swaddled in her cozy bed, or playing with other children. Now at 2 1/2 years old, our daughter has learned so much from her peers and teacher. Little Friends is exposing her to the classroom environment by using the Montessori principles of a student centered learning. We are very grateful.

I am not much for going online and writing reviews, but given the experience we had with this in home daycare, I wanted to make sure other parents were aware. My daughter attended this daycare for about 2 years. We were mostly happy initially as it seemed she was well cared for and loved going to play with the small group of children who were there. When it came time to potty train, things changed. I told Miss Devika that we were starting potty training at home and were taking things slow, but asked that she give my daughter the opportunity to use the bathroom. She asked that I keep sending her in diapers as is was too much trouble to clean up the mess when a child has an accident. After a few months, by daughter was doing great with the potty when she was with us, but every time I asked Miss Devika if she had used the potty at school, I was told that she didn't, or she didn't want to, or she wasn't interested. I was also told repeatedly that it was different when kids were at school because they "get distracted." I'm no childcare expert, so that seemed to make sense to me... until my daughter started telling me she was scared to use the potty at school because she had to go alone. I asked Miss Devika about it, and she told me that she had too many kids there to take my child to the bathroom, so she is expected to say when she has to go, and just go by herself. This seemed odd to me, I had assumed that kids would be asked to go regularly and supervised while in the bathroom for safety reasons. My daughter was not yet 2 1/2 and was simply scared she would fall into the big toilet. Once we got to the point where my daughter was no longer wearing diapers at home and was pretty self-sufficient with the potty, it became very confusing for her to have to wear a diaper at school. She would fight us every morning trying to get the diaper on and tell me that she didn't feel well and ask to stay home. She started stuttering significantly to the point where I contacted a speech therapist for an evaluation. Having a feeling that the potty situation was causing these problems, I spoke with Miss Devika again, and asked if she could just remind my daughter to use the potty every hour or so. She told me she had too many other children to watch and that wasn't possible. On the couple of occasions that I sent her to school in training pants, I was told she just had an accident and didn't use the potty. When I asked my daughter what happened, she told me she was put on "the little kids side" and couldn't get to the potty. I went and visited a few other daycares to see how they handle potty training because I was sure I was missing something. They were all consistent in that they just put the child in underwear and took them to the bathroom every 30 minutes to hour. I started asking parents who had older kids who potty trained while with Miss Devika. They all expressed the same frustration, that nothing was done to assist with potty training while in her care. One parent told me that Miss Devika flat out told them that she doesn't potty train and it is the parents' responsibility to do that. It seems to me she doesn't understand the importance of consistency and access to the bathroom during this time. For me, the straw that broke the camel's back was when I mentioned to her how other daycares handle potty training. Her response was "they may tell you they take the children every hour, but they don't." Instead of a willingness to work with us to reach a compromise, she felt justified to point fingers not knowing what other daycares I had visited. Any attempt I made to reach a compromise, that would help my daughter was met with more excuses ("I have to teach the other children their letters." " I don't want to distract her from what she is doing." "You have one child to watch, I have many." "I am a Buddhist, I don't lie.") We pulled our daughter out of her daycare, and she is flourishing at the new daycare she is at. She has not had one accident, has stopped stuttering, and is excited to go to school each day. Moral of the story... if you have a child who is already potty trained and you like the Montessori style of learning, this is an adequate place to take your child. If you have an infant or toddler, who is not fully potty trained, I would find a different place.
