Limelight Bar & Cafe

Service was excellent, albeit a little slow (short staffed). The Limelight Burger was phenomenal! The pasta and sauce was not that good, but not terrible (bland, undercooked). I would not order that again. The garlic bread was excellent though, nice garlic flavor and crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. It may look hipster on the outside (esp with the neon light), but it's pretty divey once you get inside.

Came here for a Kings Watch Party and wow, I love this place. This place has a cool concept. Sometimes they have live music out in their patio. It's nice that people who enjoy sports can go inside and watch the game and those who just want to relax can go outside and listen to some music. For food I orders a Caesar Salad, and wow I was surprised how good the food was. I think the key was how fresh the ingredients was. The salad was very green, dressing made in house, and fresh parmesan. Yummy. My friend ordered a pizza and he said that was good as well. To balance the salad I ordered a Banana Bread Pudding and that tasted amazing as well. Overall service, food, and environment is on point. Will come back to see another Kings Game here!

Met up with my girls for lunch and our server was great! She had so much energy, great customer service and on top of all of our requests! Food was absolutely delicious and we were all full, needing to run laps around the block lol!

One of my favorite local hangout spots in the city. Located on the outskirts of downtown Sacramento, Limelight is home to a great bar and a card room. The food here is no joke. I've had some really good meals here. I particularly like their breakfast. The country fried steak is super underrated as well as the biscuits and gravy. Gambling here can be fun when you're winning of course. I've heard from friends who say they've never had any luck here and others who swear that it's the only card room they win at. I personally have played the blackjack and poker. I've won and loss, but had fun every time. The server Tina is super nice. She works in the card room and is always attentive and sweet. She's a Kings fan and for that reason she's the best lol. I recently came here for the Eagles vs Buccaneers football game and let me tell you was it hilarious. Turns out Limelight is an Eagles bar! Well... the Eagles got their asses kicked that game and the fans at Limelight were HEATED haha. One guy was cursing out the offensive coordinator. Another guy grabbed his helmet he brought from home and told his wife, "grab your purse because we are leaving!" That was awesome lol

This place is incredible! My boyfriend and friends are eagles fans so we frequent this place during football season. Food is great and the service is amazing! And drinks are pretty affordable compared to other places! Highly recommend if you want to have a good time.

Been here plenty of times but not during the day. Brought my daughter in to have lunch and maybe check out the cardroom. The waiter did not introduce himself to us. Didn't even know his name until I got my check. I still can't remember his name. We didn't interact with him much but I prefer it that way. I hate being disrupted by the waitress/waiter asking how our food is while I have food stuffed in my mouth. But just a quick introduction would have been nice.

Stopped in for breakfast because we were in the area. I got the vegetable omelet and it was delicious and huge! The vegetables were sautéed perfectly and seasoned well. I will order it again. My husband ordered the pancake breakfast and he thought the pancakes were heavy. Hailey is a very attentive and friendly server. Our first time there, but saw a lot of what seemed like regulars who like to hang out. We will be back.

I Was bored being in my luxurious room at the Kimpton Sawer and ended up taking an Uber to test my luck.Initially, I was nervous since I only saw the cafe... I walked deeper to see the cardroom! Signed up for the players card and sat at the UTH Table. Working half an hour of play I hit a four of a kind of fours! This place is chill and entertaining and it's been around for over 60 years! Thanks Brian, Tori and the cute cocktail waitress... I feel bad that I didn't catch her name to mention her on this review. Dealers and staff are welcoming and friendly. Remember to tip well! I did! I'd visit again if in town for work. Definitely worth the visit!

First time coming here on a football Sunday. I'ma California Eagles fan so perfect place to catch the Eagles game. It's almost like being at an actual game lol. Anyway, I came just in time for brunch and had the California Scramble minus the onions and it was GOOD! The portion size was more than enough. I also had a side of sweet potato fries and I was impressed with the quality and quantity for the price. My brother had a burger and it must've been pretty good cuz he had an empty plate after.I was told when I walked in its a "sit where you want" type place. The nice young man/waiter gave me a mini tour after I told him its my first time. It can be confusing given they have multiple rooms/areas to dine. The 4 stars is because after I found somewhere to sit, I felt ignored for at least 15 minutes as waitstaff helped everyone around me that was already there eating without any acknowledgment. I actually contemplated on leaving. But once the waitress did come to me, it was good service after. Overall good experience.
