This past week I had the opportunity to ride at this lovely barn. With all the recent rain, the footing at my home barn has been too wet and slippery to ride. Leone's has several arenas, one of which is very large and covered and one that has specialized footing that stays fairly dry even when raining. It was a pleasure to ride in the arenas and look forward to the two other days I'll be riding there this week.

Nice facilities! I've attended a few horse shows there (as a spectator - not a rider). The arenas have good footings - the main jumper ring is grass - cool! The caterer that they use is fabulous! Great breakfasts - love the lunch salads, and that goat cheese pizza made in their little pizza oven? Spicy with jalapeños, and awesome! Over-all a nice experience!

We have tried a couple of different riding places in the area and while those places weren't horrible, as far as cleanliness and organization, we have found this place to be more to our liking. We have taken many lessons here and have not experienced issues or difficulties. The seem to maintain the arenas well and so far everyone we have come in contact with has been very helpful and courteous. overall it has been a very pleasant experience for us and our kids.

this facility was a disappointment to the equine community. they scared my daughters as well as my perception of horse back riding. they took the fun out of it over all. we will not be returning to the basic stable ever again. they pushed too fast and too far, having my daughters jumping after just two lessons of riding IN THEIR LIFETIME. after two broken bones, no apologies, and no sense of hospitality or concern we left. when deeply upset by this fall, they did not work my daughter through the newfound fear, but instead told her to "suck it up". i understand getting back on the horse is important, but when you are crying while just sitting in a saddle, a pep talk is overdue. we had heard many bad things about this stable, but since it is nearby, we gave it a chance, which we soon regretted. i am now one of the MANY who warn of this stable. they put my daughters on horses they were not ready for and were among the rudest group of instructors i have ever met. if your family's well being is at all a concern and priority, i, along with the countless amount of others, recommend you steer clear of leone stables alltogether.

I have taken multiple lessons at Leone Equestrian. Their instructors are excellent and many are advanced riders from Germany. They may/may not be totally fluent in English so patience with the language difference helps. Rudy Leone's concern is first and foremost the horse. His arenas have excellent footing, and they close an arena when there is a rain/footing issue. This is my barn of choice.

Super disappointed with the footing in the jumper ring.I've been riding in arenas all over Nor Cal and have never had a problem slipping. The last show I was at at least 20 horses slipped in the same spot. The grounds crew would go out to rake it up, but the next horse would slip, too. 1 or 2 horses having a problem could be contributed to poor balance or a coincidence, but 20 horses/rounds leads me to believe there is more of a problem with the base. I won't be back.
