Leatherby's is serving up old school sundaes with their housemade ice cream and typical diner food, like burgers, sandwiches, and fries. We love having date night here on Tuesdays for their special meal deal. For $39.99, you can choose 2 entrees (NOT the crab sandwich or Daddy Dave burger), 2 fountain drinks, and 2 large sundaes (2 flavors and 1 topping)! With the inflated prices of going out to eat these days, this deal saves you a lot of money, which is much appreciated.We walked in and even though the place was just half full, the staff looked busy and possibly short-staffed. It took a few minutes before someone came to us, but we were seated right away. The young staff were very friendly and efficient with a positive attitude. Kudos to them for staying on top of things and their work ethic.We ordered the tri tip sandwich and the western tri tip sandwich (the bbq version), both with fries. Our food came up fast and fries were hot and crispy. We both enjoyed our sandwiches and fries that were a good enough portion to still enjoy the sundaes. We came at 6pm and were trying to get out in an hour to catch a movie. We were about 15 minutes late for our movie, but it was worth it. We ended up getting the rest of our sundaes to go.If you're not doing Taco Tuesday, try Leatherby's instead!

Stopped in for late night Happy Hour (9pm to closing, 7 days a week) after an event nearby, party of 4. Check out their other daily deals (11am-3pm M-F), and weekday regular Happy Hour (2-4pm M-F).Got a few orders of the 4pc chicken tenders to share, three kinds of fries (parlor, garlic, chili cheese), and petite sundae to finish the night. I'm a sucker for spumoni (cherry, pistachio, and chocolate) flavor and hot fudge, nuts (almonds) on the side. Mint Oreo or Coffee Oreo are also fave flavors.I'm not usually around this area (Citrus Heights), but have been to Leatherby's in Arden, Elk Grove, and Folsom before too. Service and menu item availability were on par. Always a popular place for the kids and birthdays, even for a weeknight at the end of summer.

Got the chance to visit this place with my boyfriend while visiting his home town. At first I thought it might have just been childhood Nostalgia for him. But seeing how packed this place was on a Monday night, was pretty awesome. I got Rita's Strawberry shortcake, as impressed as I was with the rich creamy ice cream, I was a bit disappointed with how fast it all melted.Boyfriend got the Rachel's sundae I believe, and it was so melted by the time it came out, I'm not too sure if it's normally supposed to look like that. But within a few minutes in we both just dumped it into a to go container because we didn't want to drink it like a shake. On that note I will say it was pretty warm and stuff in there that night. Maybe the AC wasn't working properly?These are definitely larger portions of ice cream, and it's no doubt delicious, but not too sure if $15 for ice cream would be on a regular agenda for me.Server was nice and they sang happy birthday to our three birthday boys

We came here after a full day of screams at the water park... the hot day wouldn't be complete without some ice cream! We had a great server, super kind and attentive.. super quick service came over right away with waters and shortly after our ice cream Sundays came. Of course I got photos of everyone's ice cream but my own but the Rocky road was delicious! And the caramel sauce... wow I never knew what I was missing.... I kinda wish I still didn't know lol! It was fantastic! The cookies and cream was a huge hit... as well as the black and white. Overall a fun trip to Leatherby's The store was clean and all the staff as friendly, I wish I got out this way more often!

terrible customer service, rude, and they gave my ice cream that was freezer burned. make it up please or dont serve trash you wouldnt eat yourself

Always best to have some ice cream on a hot summer day. Leatherby's never disappoints.We were served by Jacob. He offered suggestions on food and was very attentive. It was not our table but he noticed the adults at the table did not have any ice cream so he brought them a sample of each of their special ice cream for the month. That is super awesome.Anyhow, hubby had a Nashville hot chicken and a Mathew,s small sundae. One of the special flavors was black cherry but they unfortunately ran out. He settled for black raspberry but it was not the same. I had a triple cheese and a Mathew's small sundae. Both were very tasty.This place is a little loud since everyone and their mother are here today. It was great to watch the guy make ice cream while we ate.Happy Memorial Day everyone!

Sooo..the buy 1 get one coupon that comes in the valpac coupons is ONLY GOOD FOR FOOD ENTREES. NO ICE CREAM. We were looking for a nice night out with some ice cream. SORRY!! We ended up splitting a Daddy Daves Banana Split. Who the heck come to an icecream parlor or the ovrpriced food!?! Don waste your time advertising if the promo isnt for ice cream! The ice cream here is the best...but i'm not gonna get reamed for the basic food!

If you like the ice cream, then you need to visit this place. Unusual presentation large portions and very tasty ice cream!!!

We love Kari and her service at Leatherbys other than the food and ice cream. She always makes us smile, especially our 7 year old who was so happy she could help celebrate his last birthday. It is also so wonderful when she is there because she is a familiar face and fixture of the restaurant and we know we will get the best service!

I've never experienced staff this young who are this friendly. I don't know where they find them! Get the caramel! They are also open super late with a solid late night happy hour menu.
