Pretty good ceviche, pretty interesting music...(why was ed sheeran playing at volume 100)My sister and I visited this fine establishment after spending a day meandering around Sacramento. My car's AC is broken. therefore seafood was the only cure. The journey to get here was long and sweaty and uncomfortable. We were dying. but once we got here and cracked open some DCs, all was fixed. Our food came in a timely manner and was very delicious. We shared the shrimp ceviche and had so much we had to bring some home. The serving sizes are pretty big! Worth it. Once we were ready to leave, we had a bit of trouble getting our waitress' attention.... but we thought it was funny so all is forgiven. overall, good fish, good vibes, good time. #darlingyoulookperfect #ed #cevichelover

Islitas used to be to go to spot for our family for seafood but it seems to have lost its charm over the years. This was the first time we'd been here in probably 2 years and it's nothing compared to what it used to be. We came around noon and there were only about 7 tables occupied and most of them were already eating, however it took 45 minutes to get our food. Myself and my husband each ordered the camarones a la kora plate so nothing super fancy or that would take super long to make. Since it was my husbands lunch break, we had to box up most of our meal because his lunch was pretty much over by the time we got our food. The shrimp was a tad over cooked and lots of them weren't cleaned all the way. Rice was good but the beans tasted horrible. We also got the complementary ceviche and it tasted off and old. They also don't have a soda machine, so you're paying $3 for a canned soda, which if you've read any of my previous reviews is a huge pet peeve of mine. Overall, they still have the best camarones a la kora around but slow service and having to check each shrimp to make sure it's cleaned is a huge factor in returning or not.

Our good friend recommended this place to us so a few of us came to try this place out! It's a very spacious space and the vibes brought me back to Cancun lol. We ordered the Mojarra Frita (Fried Tilapia) Mejillones (Mussels), and a Small parillada (I think that's what it was- assorted shrimp!) The Mojarra Frita was really good, my favorite! It comes with rice, beans, and a side salad and some tortillas. The Mussels were also yummy! And the Assorted Shrimp Platter was my favorite. It came with a deep fried shrimp, bacon wrapped shrimp, and shrimp coated in a flavorful lime sauce that was delicious! This place is known for their seafood but they also have other meat options as well! Service was super nice!

I haven't been to this place in years! Last time was when I was a law student. This place has not changed and I am so glad it's still a great place. The staff were super friendly and attentive. When you sit down, you get ceviche and tostadas to snack on, no charge. I went on a Monday afternoon and it was not busy. I ordered the Camarones a la diabla. The sauce was spicy and delicious. You can pick flour or corn tortillas and I got flour. The palate was huge. Tastes just how I remember it. Definitely 5/5We got the cocktail de camaron to share as an appetizer. I wish there was more Clamato and Chile in it. It was okay. 3/5I definitely want to come again and get the pineapple shrimp plate or the molcajete to share. Definitely check this place out. You won't be disappointed.

All las Islitas have a little bit of a different menu! However the fish ceviche is Devine and that's coming from a person who does not eat fish unless it's fish and chips lol so I recommend the fish ceviche 100% which is provided as a complementary appetizer, but I always purchase an additional one because of how delicious it is! But to go past that the shrimp ceviche which is also delicious and gives that fresh taste and perfect to eat on a hot day! They have multiple seafood options on their menu for everyone

Upon walking in we were able to seat ourselves. We cozied up near the door and waited for our server. I must note - it was very odd that they have a lady literally right outside the door selling a bunch of items. It's just weird to see and uncomfortable to walk by. The parking lot is also a bit sketchy, so just make sure you park in the light and as close to the door as possible. The server came and dropped off menus as well as waters. Unfortunately there was something in my cup so I had to request a new one, but no biggie I understand that sometimes happens. We came here specifically for the whole fried fish, which did turn out very good. However, I also must note, there was a frustrating language barrier here. When we ordered it I asked for just the fried fish, as I don't like beans and rice. I really didn't want to waste food but I also didn't want her to send it back and separate it themselves, so I just left the plate as is. I feel like I shouldn't have been charged the full price, but that's okay, at least the fish was really good. Boyfriend ordered the fajitas which were okay. A lot more veggies than meat. Also came with rice and beans which we did not realize when ordering it, but that part was our fault for not seeing that. Shrimp empanadas were also ok, but I did not like either sauce. Overall, I would come back for the fried fish speciality.

Horrible service & food had no flavor and not worth the price. Waitress did not even attempt fixing my order. I ended up canceling order, replaced it for a side of rice & beans for my toddler. That still took several minutes to get.
