I cant even begin to express the wonderful training experience my Husband and I were able to obtain with Wesley as our CCW Instructor.Wes is definitely very passionate about ensuring the safety of every individual that takes his course and wants to ensure absolute readiness God forbid you find yourself in a situation of needing to draw your firearm for self defense. With his passion/compassion for public safety, he also ensures how to ensure the safety of those around you should you have to draw your weapon in a public setting.There was absolutely no rush to the course. We went into extreme detail ranging from the basics of firearm safety, proper posture, grip and he took time with each individual to help improve shooting technique to help ensure shooting accuracy, safety and ease. We also dove into scenarios while learning in depth the rules and laws that will best ensure your proper assessment of when/where/how you are able to carry with your CCW and the situations that allow you to use lethal force.Wes has vast experience and knowledge that I feel has prepared both my husband and I to be able to defend ourselves lawfully and safely. With his personal and professional experiences, we gained even more insight than a standard book on the subject could ever touch basis on.Wes is an overall stand up and respectful guy who both my huband I look forward to taking more classes with in the future.Class with Wes is worth every penny.

I'm on my 4th (5th?) CCW class with Wes.If you want a bare minimum class where the instructor doesnt care (and neither do you) where you do the CCW class because you have to; dont go to Wes.If you want a CCW class where the instructor cares about how you shoot and is proud to put his name on the certificate and will stand behind you, by all means go to Wes. The guy has dedicated his life to being the absolute best shooter he can be.I've been shooting a long time, however when my teenage daughter is ready and comfortable with handguns I'm not going to teach her, I'm going to have Wes teach her. Good form from the start mean less bad habits to break later on.

Loved my CCW class. Wes and his staff are amazing. I highly recommend taking classes from Wes he knows his shit and a great shot to boot.

Let me start by saying I have been going to Wes's CCW classes at Lagomarsino's Firearms Institute for over 8 years. He was my first CCW instructor and the only one I'll use and recommend to friends and family. Wes is a constant student of firearms, laws and shooting techniques. He has an extremely knowledgeable support staff like Kelly, Raz and others to help you learn the process of shooting. When someone asks me why I drive all the way out to Wes's class vs going to someone closer, I explain how patient he is and how he gives his students the chance to be successful. The class portion of the class is extremely beneficial as well. I'm constantly learning something new or reminded of something I forgot and need to know. Wes gives you a lot of valuable information for you to take home and continue your education. He provides you with information so you can build your network, in case of emergency, seeking more information or just in need of accessories. If you think you want to get your CCW or want to improve your shooting skills, I would highly recommend Wes at Lagomarsino's Firearms Institute.

I've done multiple CCW initial and renewal courses with Wes for Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah, and cannot imagine a safer or more enjoyable experience with anyone else.His knowledge is impressively extensive, and he demonstrates an enthusiasm for sharing it with his students throughout the course; Wes goes well beyond the curriculum requirements, and provides significant depth of detail in his explanation of the law, the biomechanics of grip and posture, and even a suggested magazine orientation in the mag holster for fast reloads. His attention to detail and mastery of the subject matter is unrivaled.During the time at the range, Wes reinforces his ardent commitment to safety by first having a discussion of range safety practices and emphasizes the consequences of non-compliance; though he takes no enjoyment from it, I have witnessed Wes have to immediately disqualify students who were practicing dangerous behavior with their weapons. Wes makes his passion and talent for shooting quite clear by first explaining or reinforcing some fundamental principles and then demonstrating those practices before the students begin. Beginner, intermediate, or expert, everyone will come away from a session with Wes with knowledge or skills they didn't have before.It has always been clear that Wes genuinely cares about his students to ensure that they can operate a firearm and defend themselves in a safe, proficient, and legally compliant manner at all times. There is nobody else I would trust with this hefty responsibility than Wes.

I took the California CCW Class and the UT/AZ add on late Feb 2021. Great class, Wes kept it interesting and informative the entire time and used real world experiences in his lectures that made the lessons really make sense. One thing that I really appreciated is that he never made anyone in the class feel stupid, but really made sure we completely understood the gravity and responsibility of obtaining a CCW. Also, for females who may feel intimidated about getting their CCW - Wes is respectful and kind. He will start at whatever point you are comfortable handling your firearm and make sure you leave better than when you started without you feeling intimidated.

This course was phenomenal. If you are looking for an instructor who truly cares about ensuring you walk away with the most vital information possible when it comes to a CCW, then Wes is your man. He is very professional, and his experience is apparent through his training techniques. If you are looking to walk in and shoot a target for 20 minutes to obtain a certificate, then I can assure anyone that this is the wrong course for you. Wes is a wealth of knowledge, and most importantly, he is passionate about all things shooting.

I am positive that this training is not what I had expected. In the first place, I was directed to a gun range near Galt. The trainer told me to avoid stopping or inquiring about the training, located in an area behind a vineyard there. I found the home I was "warned to avoid going near" as the owners did not want to be bothered. I call Wesley and said I'm here and he very rudely answers, "I see what you are doing". I followed him into the vineyard and the gun range was a ways from the entrance. I already had a bad impression. Wesley took his time with the basic gun orientation. Wesley was cold and mostly not personable. My initial bad impression of Wesley continued. He told me about himself, flashing a fake smile occasionally. He brought a new rifle to the training. I did not mind being corrected about loading and unloading my firearm, but when we got to the actual gun practice, he tightened his hands around my hands in a brusque manner. I was not very enthused to keep shooting in the dark and I told him, "I am ready to stop". It was cold and dark and I told him I wanted to leave. He said ok and did not tell me a metal gate at the entrance might be locked and I drove around the property and I did not feel safe and called him. He finally answered and came up behind me a few minutes after my call, and unlocked the gate. I did not feel safe in the dark out there and almost ditched my car going down the road. If I could give this trainer zero stars , I would. He is wrapped up in himself and bragging about his accomplishments. I feel I should have stopped the training before it started after the rude manner in which he answered me. I paid him 460 dollars and I feel this so-called training was a waste of money and time! I DO NOT recommend this trainer for anything! I was left with a very bad impression and I'm sure others will too. I have to set up new training and hopefully finally get the proper training that I did not get with Wesley Lagomarsino! Save your money and ask the gun dealer for a good recommendation as rudeness, bragging about your accomplishments does not equate to good training but an icy personality and loss of money!

I can't give Wes enough stars for his ccw class. He is extremely knowledgeable in firearms, laws, defense tactics, and safety. He is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to this, these things are important and he shares it all with you. No question goes unanswered, he is extremely patient and will make sure you leave with way more knowledge and training than you came with. I would most definitely recommend him to my friends and family.
