One bite of rice and beans gone. Not even 1/4 of a cup of rice and beans. Look at the tortilla. Waste of almost 20 dollars

I only tried 3 pan dulce or Mexican sweet breads. They were a bargain at $1.49 in January 2024. If I were in the area, I would order the Cheese & Jam Danish again. The concha was too dry and crumbly for me, and the chocolate chip cookie was of the same dough, so it had the same texture as the concha. I suspect pan dulce may be an acquired taste or something cultural you need to grow up with because I haven't found them to be appetizing in appearance or taste in the past. I did see a Chocoflan round cake, so that's a good thing. You can also order cakes here. The panaderia is a mostly empty room with display cases and counters along the walls. I had to ask for help. The restaurant also has a taqueria with a more inviting dining area, which I likely could appreciate more. The display windows and menu mention these: - Desayunos ($4.99 breakfast burritos from 6 am to 11 am) - Weekday Lunch Specials 11 am to 2 pm - Kids Menu - Meat Choices: Asada, Adobada, Birria, Cabeza, Carnitas, Deshebrada, Pollo - Mole - Mariscos - Tortas - Tamales (masa dough for sale) - Mojarra - Tacos - Burritos - Flauta - Sope - Ceviche Tostadas - Chile Relleno - Menudo - Gelatinas - Flan - Pasteles - Cafe Champurrado - Beer - Michelada - Taquiza (taco bar or taco buffet) - Catering La Placita is located in the same plaza as 7-Eleven on Cirby Way near Riverside Ave.

My husband and I were in search of some local pan dulce and were so happy to discover this location. It's tucked away in a corner and doesn't look like much. However, upon entering the store you smell the fresh pan dulce that is baked in house. The staff was very helpful and explained that the panaderia is on the right side and the restaurant offering food is on the left side. We gathered our pan dulce, that was quite tasty, and then ordered 2 breakfast burritos from the restaurant side. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and helpful. I give the location 4 stars for the inside. The building is on the older side and could use some TLC to spruce up the place!

Review is for just the Panaderia--This is a good panaderia with a lot of the standard offerings that you get yourself using tongs & a tray. The lady who helped us was welcoming & answered questions about fillings.Got a churro (filled with dulce de leche), a concha, a piece of cake, and vanilla cream empanadas. They were fine, but too sugary sweet for my taste. The churro also ate as if it had been sitting for a while & I didn't finish it.My little one loved what she tried. However, based on what I tried & my personal taste, not a place I'd crave to go back to.

Mid June 2023, La Placita Taqueria y Panaderia opened with little fuss, fanfare or advertising and began offering delicious Mexican cuisine, including breakfast, beginning at 07:00 in the morning, along with a bakery that opens at 05:00 every morning. Such a welcome addition to the Roseville, CA dining scene!La Placita Taqueria y Panaderia is located in Roseville, CA on Cirby Way, not far off busy Interstate 80. The restaurant is open every day of the week and serves fine Mexican cuisine. There is bakery co-located and under the same management as the restaurant. The dining room is very spacious and has been completely remodeled from the layout the previous owner enjoyed. It's well-lighted by both natural lighting from the many windows and the lights in the ceiling. Hey... I can actually read the menu!!The breakfast is posted on a blackboard, on the wall above the window to the kitchen. Curiously, breakfast isn't listed on the printed menu. Lunch and dinner is listed on the printed menu. After I placed my order, I enjoyed a basket of tortilla chips, along with a small cup of in-house made salsa. Such delicious munchies! As I was waiting for my order to arrive, I walked to the co-located panaderia - Mexican bakery - to watch a staff member place a freshly baked pan of pan dulce - Mexican sweet bread - on to a cart. The bakery is separated from the restaurant by a wall, but shares the same kitchen and ownership. The bakery opens every morning at 05:00.From the "Breakfast" menu, I went with "Chorizo con Huevo." I was given the choice of a "plate" or a "burrito" and I went with a plate, along with an order of corn tortillas. The main attraction of this delicious Mexican breakfast was a generous portion of flavorful chorizo sausage, mixed with eggs, which is a tradition breakfast favorite of northern Mexico. During my countless trips to Mexico, along the many breakfasts that I've had the pleasure to enjoy, chorizo and eggs has always been on the menu, and this fantastic breakfast was as good as it gets.Mexican rice, along with refried beans and a small salad were included with the breakfast. The salad was nothing special, as it was simply shredded lettuce, diced tomato, diced onion and cilantro. The salad didn't have any dressing, but who puts dressing on a breakfast salad? The salad added a refreshing touch to the breakfast and allowed me to think that I was actually eating healthy. The rice was good, but pretty much what you'd expect at any fine Mexican restaurant, and made for a great side. The refried beans... oh the beans! Simply delicious! The beans were creamy, yet there were some chunks, and you could taste the LARD, which always gives superior refried beans a unique and delicious taste. The beans were topped with melted Mexican cheese.I opted for corn tortillas - you can also go with flour tortillas if you prefer - and I received a generous stack of four warm tortillas, wrapped in aluminum foil, which made for great dipping and to scoop every bit of goodness from the plate. My only criticism - albeit it minor - is the menu lists both imported and Mexican beer, but when I asked my hostess for a Modelo beer, she said they didn't serve beer. This restaurant is "dry," which seems like a pity, as beer really goes well with a delicious Mexican breakfast. Oh well... at least I saved myself five bucks!I found it silly to list domestic and imported beer on the menu, yet in reality, the restaurant is as "dry" as many counties in Texas and Oklahoma. The delicious food and friendly service is top-notch, but because the restaurant is "dry," despite the listings on the menu, they get four stars. On the other hand, if you're "dry," I highly recommend this fine Mexican restaurant.

Husband and I came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning at 9am. No one else in the restaurant. The food was not great. My husband ordered the ham and eggs plate. The ham was deli meat and the rice and beans were cold. The beans had an odd taste to them. IHad the carnitas burrito . It wasn't horrible but too greasy for me . One good thing about my burrito , it was hot. Service, was less than ok. Our waitress was not attentive at all! There was a pile of dishes next the our table and she didn't pick them up. She was too busy visiting . She moved like a snail! We asked for the check but after 10 min. We had to go get her . What was she doing , visiting . Ambiance, the tables are not clean. You can see crumbs . Again this was at 9am with no one in the restaurant. They have 2 different music playing and loud! It's pretty dark , probably to hide the dirt. Some spots on the floor are sticky . Pretty safe to say, we won't be back.

I called in an order of pozole (which was decent) and two crunchy taco plate. I will start off by saying the pozole was tasty and I have eaten here a few different times by myself because its close to my house. I called in this order because my husband wanted crunchy tacos. Customer service has never been great here, and I have noticed they're never super friendly and seem bothered if you ask to many questions. With that being said, his plate was ordered with shredded beef, cheese, and lettuce only, in crunchy shells. When he got it home it looked like the shells were never fried, the rice and beans were enough for a child and there was no cheese but enough lettuce to make a salad. Everything was lukewarm and soggy. With the amount of Mexican food options around this area, would think that small businesses would go above and beyond to make sure their customers were happy. And that they were pleasant to their patrons. This establishment is none of that. Here is the picture of his plate. We will not be going back. I would rather drive to South Sac and get my Mexican bread then give restaurant anymore of my business.
