This is no longer La Mision Restaurant. It was sold and no longer has the wonderful food that La Mision had. I knew something was wrong when I got there at dinner hour and there was only one vehicle in the parking lot. The dinning room was closed off and just the dinning room cantina area was open. Very dissapointing. I walked out.

I come here all the time with my family and it genuinely amazes me how in the day time its always empty. I rarely see another people dining here which is so confusing because the food is amazing. Theres 2 areas you can sit near the bar or in the room with the fountain. The Fountain room is pretty cold so bring a jacket but the bar room is very pretty. I always get the shrimp ceviche or fish ceviche and its absolutely delicious when its served it's still pretty raw so if that puts you off I wouldn't recommend but its absolutely delicious so if you are ok with waiting it will cook in the lime juices as you eat something else. Besides that its very delicious.

They great chicken soup && I order it all the time when I'm not feeling good or when I need to open my sinuses, plus I get it for others when they are sick && the chicken soup is very helpful in getting people well. I love their nachos as well ~ most of everything I love is SUPER delicious

The ambience and service push them from "meh" to "pretty good". We came here with a Groupon and had no problems. The stipulations were that you must buy two entrees and two drinks. That's what we got! The build-your-own combination was very nice; I got 2 enchiladas and 1 chile relleno, and my partner got fish tacos. Our drinks, a michelada and a slushie strawberry margarita, were very good. The food was just OK, unfortunately. Instead of being really aromatic and rich and spicy, it was much more savory, creamy, and salty. The chile verde (pork) enchiladas were great. The chile relleno was...weird. It was like they stuffed the chile normally, and then stuffed that into a sort of hollow bread roll, and then fried that and doused it in sauce. It was really salty and kind of gooey. The fish tacos were fresh and crispy but had TONS of batter that was quite oily. The homemade tortillas were good, but not outstanding. The ambience and the restaurant building itself was really nice, and the servers were very attentive. It was also nice to hear everyone who worked there, including the owner, speaking Spanish to one another, and hear a family singing feliz cumpleanos in the next room. Go here and you'll support a fairly tasty, friendly, and authentic Mexican restaurant owned by a family. However, you can probably get tastier food for a lower price at another taqueria.

We dropped in to La Mision yesterday, They spell it Mision with a single "s". I have eaten there before, but it had been maybe 10 years ago. I do remember it being good, we just aren't in that part of town oftenI am tempted to give them a 5 star review for food, but the waiter loses at least a star. I think he was Speedy Gonzales the way he was running around. He just rushed us a little too much. We started with a couple of pints of Dos XX dark and you can't go wrong with those. The chips were good and fresh, but the salsa sucked. All good Mexican restaurants have the spicy stuff in the kitchen so if the standard salsa they serve is lacking ask for the good stuff. My Wife ordered the lunch special chile relleno and I ordered a large bowl of chicken rice soup. Both were very good

From the nondescript exterior we were surprised by the charming interior. Made to look like an outdoor courtyard, the restaurant area has a babbling fountain and a fireplace surrounded by a large mural. A very pleasant setting for a meal with friends.I had a taco salad which was pretty standard. The chicken meat was shredded and the lettuce was shredded iceberg. Two of my friends had the carnitas special. It came with a generous serving of carnitas. There was plenty of parking in front and more next to Home Depot.

Have been driving past this restaurant for 2" years. Finally decided to stop by for dinner, give. It's Cinco de Mayo weekend. While it doesn't set the world on fire, you can quite a bit of food for only $15! I ordered the #2 combination, half of which is in a to-go container and on the way Home for lunch tomorrow! The Grande burrito is a tad bit dry as the carne aside was a little over cooked, but the burrito is about 7-8 inches long and 2.5 inches wide and stuffed with rice and bean and lettuce (??). The Chile relleno was good and disappeared from my son's plate rather quickly. Two men and a mom got out of there stuffed with food for $50 so take that into consideration :-). The chips and salsa were good! We didn't have dessert or alcohol. There was no wait which there was nice! Overall, expectations should be low to midland but it will do in a pinch.

I came to the grand opening of La Tequila Restaurant in sacramento and was pleasantly delighted with the food I ordered. Our food did not take long to be served even with a full house. I ordered 2 shrimp tacos which were very full. I also ordered an agua fresca/ hibiscus water and watermelon margarita.
