La michoacana Plus-Sacramento,CA #2

It wasn't quite hot enough for ice cream in December, but when a craving hits, you just gotta go. We were in the area and decided to give La Michoacana a try. The shop was big and spacious with lots of colorful graphic signage and pop-art murals. So my eyes were busy feasting on all the yummy treats and I was having a hard time deciding what to order. They have a lot of fun flavors like Guanabana (soursop), Tamarindo (tamarind), Jamaica (hibiscus), and Tequila Patron con Almendras. After weighing our options, we ordered one scoop of Ferrero Rocher and a scoop of Arroz con leche (rice with milk). The lady behind the counter gave us big scoops and that made me very happy!Both flavors were delicious! I liked that they were creamy but not overly sweet. You can taste the chocolate and hazlenut bits in the Ferrero which was satisfying. The arroz con leche tasted like horchata (my fav Mexican beverage) so needless to say, I liked it a lot.Overall, we had a good expereience at La Michoacana and would recommend it!

So I stopped in after my burger . Yes the line was about 6 person deep but there was only 2 people working . They were doing the best they could despite it being cold. Like me they want ice cream in the cold weather LOL ! I chose the snicker pop. I had the lady dip mine in chocolate. My girls chose Guayaba, and my other 2 passion fruit drinks ! They were amazing. Seriously I can't even imagine how the wait times would be in the summer. It was busy now. This my 1st time trying Mexican ice cream. I liked how it was not overly sweet and still satisfied my sweet tooth. So many flavors to choose from like tres leches, a caramel, cookies & creme , lots of Spanish flavors and even toppings . I'll be back when Im in the area. I actually found a location close to my home. Adding it to my monthly treats !

Very slow service and overly expensive I would prefer the local Mexican carts !!!! They don't have prices anywhere till you get the counter

First, I'd like to say that the variety in flavors of ice cream you can get here is the thing that sets it apart from others. You have both milk and water based (like sorbet) ice creams to choose from. That being said, everything else at this location is poor. Their customer service, in general, is horrible. Their lines are always long. They have two staff working at once (at most!), and their wait times average about 25-30 minutes.

Not good costumer service, there was too employees working and both did not speak English, they got our order wrong and I couldn't even communicate that too them. The corn was mushy and not good. I asked for a strawberry con Fresca and they literally gave me a cup of strawberries with cream, there was no ice in it, it wasn't a drink at all. Spent $30 dollars on three items I am not going to eat! Better off going to the corn man!

I stoped by here with the fam and I enjoyed the Ice cream! Definitely try out the strawberry.

The definition of SLOW! I am a very understanding and patient person but the line literally did not move in 35 minutes! Only 2 employees and they both looked annoyed and not once were we greeted or even told thank you for your patience.

Honestly I thought this place was going to be amazing. If you don't speak Spanish it's hard to understand what they are saying. My daughter said they were laughing at us. The items are a hit or miss. Some of the stuff we ordered was great, some not so much. It took a while for us to even be helped and there was only one family ahead of ours. They have a good amount of seating inside. The prices for everything were outrageous. We would've been better off going to a street vendor, cheaper and probably would've tasted a whole lot better.

Had a vainilla raspa with ice crean on top and my buddy a diablito. The ladys at the front were super friendly and helpful. Yummy desserts !! Highly recommend.

Everytime we come here there's this one particular lady. She older and has blonde hair she's pretty rude. Today we came in and my nephew accidentally said he wanted the mango ice cream but he meant to say watermelon. I had told her that and she had said that he said mango. It was a misunderstanding but she had dragged it and continued to be rude about it. He clearly even pointed to the watermelon. We come here very sparsely went we want something extremely sweet. This is the first location I've seen in Sacramento, in Southern California there's one every corner. Usually everybody is very nice. Even this location the other workers are super nice. It's just the one older lady that works in evenings.
