The staff is kind unfortunately the food was terrible. I ordered the beef chalupa and the bread was old and cold. Something tasted super off (rancid) inside so I didn't finish it beyond two bites. The filling was extremely spicy which is fine by me but this could be an issue for others. I also got 2 chicken tacos which were the only ok thing I had, but it still had issues like a super soggy cold tortilla that fell apart when I picked it up. The final thing I had was an asada wet burrito and this was the worst out of everything. I took one bite and realized it was the asada that was old! It tasted like the meat was just about to turn rancid and they still served it. The beans also tasted off like they were old. Maybe they were having an off day but everything was soggy, cold and old tasting. I threw away my whole order as it was inedible.

Two points upfront - as far as I can tell, this is not in any way connected to the Jalisco Grill restaurants found elsewhere in the area. I thought maybe it was and that's why I dropped by... nope.Second point - it definitely reminded me of eating in Mexico, so I guess points for being authentic? I genuinely mean that... not trying to crack a joke or anything. Wobbly table and chair, Mexican game show on the TV, random flatware, decorations, extensive almost prison-like gating and fencing built around the building... it seriously reminded me of several of the places I've eaten at in Mexico.Anyway, on to the food! I was hoping to get a Birria plate, but the hostess informed me that they were out of that, so I chose the Chile Verde plate as a Plan B.The verde sauce had good favor... nice little bite to it. The rice was pretty much perfect, and the beans were very good too.Unfortunately, what should have been the star of the show... wasn't. I'm talking about the meat itself... a good Chile Verde should be nice and tender no matter what cut of pork was used since it's slow cooked for a good bit of time. Pork shoulder is commonly used... but Mexican food in general is designed to be flexible - making cheap cuts taste awesome is the whole magic behind Mexican cooking in the first place! The meat used in this case was rib meat. Short ribs. Was some sort of law broken? This was the first time I remembered having bones in Chile Verde - certainly THIS many bones. No rule broken, though... remember what I said about flexibility. Unfortunately, the meat was dry and tough too. I seriously doubt it had been simmered for any period of time... probably didn't spend much time in the verde sauce either.I really don't like writing a review like this, but honesty is honesty. I can and have made much better Chile Verde myself. I'm hoping this was just a bad day, and I hate to judge a restaurant... someone's business and livelihood too harshly based on a single visit on possibly a bad day... but it is what it is. I see that there are some good reviews here, so there's hope! I'm not writing off another visit. I would love nothing more than to give this review a significant upgrade!

While I normally gravitate to a big bowl of Pho after a night of drinking, I woke up with the desire of a super greasy Carne Asada burrito and thanks to the taqueria down the street that was closed (even though online it said open) because I wouldn't have accidentally found this place. It also helped that, the smell radiating from the bbq chicken that they were cooking in the parking lot truly persuaded me to come in!La Jalisco Taqueria is a smaller restaurant attached to a super market with just a few dine-in tables. When we arrived there was a line/wait, so this place must be good - I thought. With what felt like a 20 minute wait for two Carne Asada burritos - it didn't help that I was hungover so every minute felt like 5, lol. We got our burritos to go and rushed home. Our car quickly filled with a smell of complete deliciousness! Got home, and devoured most of my burrito. First thing that caught my eye was the size! Peep my photo, but these burritos are huuuge! Filled with rice, beans, juicy carne asada, salsa, cheese, sour cream, and guac - this super burrito is on point! I slowly started coming back to life after a few bites. The burrito is so big I had an entire half for dinner! Heck yeah! I would definitely return for a second visit and highly recommend this place. Also, the gal working the register, was super friendly and provided great customer service.

Nothing Special. It is a Taqueria and Store/Meat market.Ordered a burrito of carne asada. It was a good size but It was more of a bean and rice burrito with a sprinkle of meat. Don't come here expecting to be blown away. Just something to get you by if you are hungry and in the area. Everything was bland. Don't think ill return anytime soon.

I love the food here. You can also get cut meat and fajitas as well. This place is convenient for me when I need to pick up some chicken or meat at lunch time.

Always love coming to La Jalisco's. Seems to be a owned by a nice young family. I've tried almost everything and it's all been very good. I'd say my favorite dish is the ceviche which is a shrimp & avocado tostada with a spicy sauce or maybe the California burrito w/ steak, potatoes, cilantro with spicy sauce. Sopes are also very, very good. If you've never had Sopes you must try these because they're as good as I've found or eaten homemade. Breakfast burritos are very good also. And there is a Mexican market full of things you can buy and they also have a meat counter full of fresh meats. You need to go here!!

Hidden in a little discreet corner on Folsom. This is a hidden gem. We were craving breakfast burritos, and decided to stop by for takeout. I ordered the super Huevos con Chorizo breakfast burrito and a regular. Topped with an order of Chilaquiles. Paired with Jamaica and Horchata. I've tried breakfast burritos at other places around the neighborhood, and I have found that they don't beat these.Whenever I'm craving a breakfast burrito, my mouth waters for one from La Jalisco. They also have a mini market so we get our pan here too! Glad to have stopped by and support small businesses during COVID. We support anyway we can.

Incredibly disappointing. We ordered during a weekday and were told 20-30 minutes for pickup. We arrived after 30 minutes and waited. No one greeted us at the counter, we walked around looking for an employee, rang the bell, but still no one came. After a while of waiting we asked the woman in the mercado section where to get our food. She casually said she could help us and walked over. This same woman saw us standing, ringing the bell, and waiting for around 10 minutes without saying anything. We're told the food would be a few more minutes. No problem so we sit down to wait. We wait, and wait, and wait. Not a single customer has come in, been served, or picked up food in the extra 30 minutes we spent waiting. We were expecting a 20-30 minute wait time but sat during our lunch break in the restaurant for a total of an hour of wait time. I finally got up and asked the woman when our food would be ready because it had been an hour and she went and checked and after about 5 more minutes we had the food. During that time we saw the cook go over to the mercado section, grab a bag of tortillas and a tube of butter, and return to the kitchen before finishing our food. I ordered the chili verde plate and it was inedible. The meat was incredible tough, stuck on the bone, and bad tasting. So disappointing after an hour long wait. The beans and rice were fine but there was only about 3 spoonfuls in the combo plate so it wasn't worth it at all. Overall this was an incredibly disappointing experience and I would not recommend visiting until these conditions improve
