What a special place to be, I feel lucky to live so close to them in Elk Grove. I found out about this place through Elk Grove Annual Restaurant Week and I'm so glad I had the opportunity to try this. The cashier, Jeanette is so kind! I'm so glad I had the chance to talk to her and ask her for her suggestions. I didn't feel rushed being here and I felt appreciated here too as much as I appreciated their service and expertise. Shoutout to everyone! On Taco Tuesdays, they do some of their tacos for only .99cents each and I look forward to coming back with my loved ones!

Small location tucked within a street-side plaza, giving "your friendly neighborhood bodega" vibes. Despite the quaint size of this location, I truly feel as though they have everything you need if you're craving Mexican food or snacks. Service is extremely friendly and helpful, I have no complaints whatsoever! This has easily become a staple spot for me to buy carne asada meat for tacos in the Elk Grove area. At $8.99 per lb, it makes it sooo much more affordable and easier to get the essentials & make the rest at home. The marinated meats tastes great as it is seasoned generously and authentically, but I personally like the carne asada more. The chunky salsa is also yummy, super addicting with some tortilla chips. In the future, I look forward to trying a jab at the quality of their hot foods. Overall, I do recommend this spot to others! :)

I've had a few experiences at this spot, and overall, the food is great, and they've been pretty accommodating when it comes to catering orders. The tacos are always delicious, and I appreciate that they're willing to work with larger orders for events. However, there were a couple of frustrating moments that made me reconsider my future visits. On one occasion, I paid with cash, and they kept the change without offering it back, which, while only a few dollars, felt a bit off. It's not a huge deal, but I would've appreciated the option to get my change. The real issue came during a to-go order for 12 tacos. I specifically selected salsa on the side when I placed my order online, but when I went to pick it up, I didn't receive any. I had to come back and when I asked the first girl at the cashier directed me to the right side to get my salsa. I thought there would be someone there to get the salsa for me, but I was told by a second girl the area was only to buy the salsa cartons. I told her about my order and missing salsa and she stated that the salsa was included with the tacos and asked if I selected the salsa to be on the side. I showed her my receipt and she sent me back up to the front to get it sorted out.At the register, the original cashier checked my order, took down my info, and told me I would need to pay if I wanted extra salsa. I explained that I just wanted what I ordered, or at least just one or two salsas, but she walked off without resolving it. After a while, another employee came up, she asked the same questions, and then went to talk to the original girl. They went back and forth, all while ignoring me and helping other customers in line. The shop is small, and so they intentionally ignored me to help others. Finally, after about 10 minutes, they returned and gave me the salsa--but still insisted I had to pay for it. They essentially accused me of lying about my order, which left a bad taste, figuratively and literally. While I've enjoyed the food and have had positive experiences in the past, the lack of customer service and the mix-up over something as simple as little salsa cups made this visit pretty unpleasant.

I had a craving for some true Mexican cuisine and came across this place. I felt like I knew it would be good because it was inside of a market LOL. I was right: I ordered the quesabirria quesadilla, 3 taco combo, pozole, bean and cheese burrito and chicharonne. Nothing disappointed. The serving sizes were very good and the pricing point was on point. Definitely got our money's worth. The jalapeños were fire (pun intended) and the sauces were a very good compliment to everything we ordered. The staff was extremely friendly and worked quickly to get my order out despite being super busy. Really good energy. There are other items that I want to try so I'll definitely be back and this place has absolutely been added to my recommendation list.

This small but mighty market has a lot packed inside. Piñatas, marinated meats, aguas frescas, fresh chicharrones (!!!!!!), dried chiles and To Go food!!! That's just to name a few of the hidden goodies in here. Ordered a couple tacos and this guy in line was singing praises about the burritos. Maybe we'll do that next time. The salsa on the tacos was GOOD! They came with a lime wedge, grilled jalapeños and onions too. Hubby said the Al pastor had good flavor but both of us would have preferred the carnitas to be more crispy and I thought the carne asada also needed a little something. Overall we would order Al pastor again, a "maybe" on the carnitas (good as "pork" but I wouldn't call it carnitas) and I wouldn't order the carne asada again in a taco. A street taco really highlights the solo flavor of the meat. If these meats were in a burrito I would be totally fine with any of them if the rest of the burrito ingredients were on point. Service was great too. In coming back here for some candy though!!!!

Been here a few times for Menudo, it's so Goodas they cut the tribe in small sizes which I appreciate as a menudo lover. The flavor is Fire as you don't need to add any salt to the broth. All you need is lime, mexican oregano, cilantro, & chopped onions. We also tried the big Nachos with your choice of meat....Pro tip: kill it while it's fresh, not a re heatable left over....IMHOWe will definitely come back to try their other offerings from the menu

The people here are so helpful, nice, and patient. Victoria and Samantha have great customer service especially when you have a million questions about catering. They really help you break down how much you really need for your party. I have catered from them for 120 guests and I feel like their prices were reasonable with tons of leftovers! The food is also delicious too; Large trays of your meat of choice, beans, rice, cilantro, onions, salsas, tortillas, and chips! You can adjust the packages so it can be more or less of what you want to pay. You just need to order 2 weeks in advance of your event. Kitchen closes at 6pm for any catering pick up. The young gentleman who made my carne asada fries one day was really generous too! And it was only $10 compared to other places. I just love kind people. Oof and try their watermelon juice that they make. *Chef's kiss*

This place makes amazing food. They offer a great selection of meats and cuts. The marinated meats are all delicious. The kitchen is fantastic as well. I have had almost everything there. I love the cabeza and lengua. They also have a good selection of pantry items and fresh salsas. Please come try this small family owned place if you get a chance.

Rude, disrespectful and dishonest women working the cash register. The gentlemen have been nothing but polite with good customer service. However, this is the second time the two girls have spoken to me like I am scum . The big girl weighed the guac and charged me, left it on the scale adding two more items and charged me. All three items have different pricing. When I asked, she got an attitude and repeated this step. Then told me I wasn't listening. The tall thin girl came over picked up the scale slammed it down, readjusted it, sighed a few times and began to do the same thing and speak to me so disrespectfully. After I received my refund and started walking out, the heavy girl yelled BYE! BYE! Taunting me as a customer! Acting like she's 12.I have always felt a bit uncomfortable, but I try to support small business. I will never give them another dime. My husband said he also feels an undertone of implicit bias and prefer other carnicerias with better products.

Quite possibly the worst wrapping I've ever seen for a burrito, I asked for no beans extra rice INSIDE the burrito. Start opening the foil wrapper and rice is completely falling out and covering the outside of the tortilla. I didn't ask for rice outside the tortilla I wanted it to be inside the actual item. will not be coming back
