One day, since my usual café next door was closed, I decided to try this Mexican taqueria. To my surprise, it was incredibly delicious. I ordered three tacos de tripas--bien doraditas (extra crispy/fried tripes)--which were the best fried tripes I've ever had. Unlike other places where I ask for extra fried tripes and still taste the rubbery texture, here they are flavorful and crispy on every bite, especially with their handmade fresh tortillas and their hot sauce. Mmmm... mmmm... I'm always a fan of fresh tortillas made by hand.On my second visit, I tried their super burrito with carne asada, which was also good. However, the only burrito I didn't like on my 3rd visit was their California burrito. Most places put fries in their CA burrito, but here they use country-style potatoes that overpowered the other ingredients. They also have a salsa and chip bar, and their horchata is really really good. Always ask for it without ice to get more of the horchata, and you can always fill it with ice from the soda fountain. The service and staff are friendly, and they're always seen cleaning the location. This location also seems to get busy with workers who sit and enjoy their micheladas and/or beer mugs. They even have sports games like soccer playing on their multiple TVs while music plays in the background. As an added bonus, on weekends outside of this taqueria (not affiliated with the taqueria), there's a man who makes fresh churros (cinnamon sticks). He only accepts cash, and it usually costs around $5 for a bag. He cooks your batch right in front of you and usually fills the bag. It's so good, especially when it comes out fresh from the oil. It's a must-have after your Mexican cuisine.

Came here for lunch and their online ordering is super convenient.Jumbo burrito (asada and al pastor): BPretty tasty burrito. I love that I was able to get two different meats and ended up really liking their asada. Quite a nice sized burrito for the price.Churros: A-This churro was great! They cut it into 3 pieces so it's a bit easier to eat. Lots of cinnamon sugar that clings to the churros so you get the best in every bite. For $2 this is a gem.

I ordered for delivery on DoorDash as they were close but I will not be ordering from them again. The costs are way more compared to other restaurants and the quality/taste/portions were mediocre at best. They also do not pack the food well and I had to clean up all of the crema and salsa that spilled everywhere. They also put a kid's quesadilla on a styrofoam plate that MELTED so I would not and could not feed it to my kiddo.Considering that other places give you at least 2 bags of chips and more than 2 small things of salsa for an order for 4 people I will be spending my money elsewhere.

Ordered for delivery; it showed up still piping hot. I think being able to customize it in store would have made a better experience. The meat breakfast burrito just listed choice of meat, eggs, potatoes, beans, and cheese. This one included rice which was just too much starch. There weren't any options to add pico or guac nor customize it. The big disappointment was no salsa included with the order. There also wasn't an option to order a side of salsa. With a little work on their online menu (and not adding unwanted ingredients), this could be a top notch breakfast burrito.

My coworker and I stopped here for lunch. We both had a carnitas quesadillas, grande size.Keep in mind, I have been coming here for at least 6 years and have tried many items on the menu. My review is based upon today's experience as well as all the other experiences which includes my family. The food was not exactly what I expected though. The quesadillas I'm accustomed to eating are flour tortillas, folded in half and grilled until crispy. What I got was a sandwich style. The food was good, tasty. It came with a small salad, sour cream and guacamole. For $10, it was fillingThe meat was tender and there was just the right enough of cheese. As I pointed out, I would have liked mine grilled and crispy. But if this is how they roll, it is what it isThe restaurant is nice, chips and salsa bar, there are no complaints since they are free. Staff is okStaff and friendliness. 3/5Clean. 4/5Food quantity 3.5/5Food taste. 3.5/5Location. 4/5Overall. 3.5/5This is a good place and easy on the budget. I would recommend coming. But not really a place to take your date since this is more cafe style. A great place to change it up. Menu is pretty extensive and the location isn't bad at all. I have had more authentic Mexican food. But you know, this isn't bad at all. They have adapted to us

Have been to the Elk Grove La Favorita once for nachos (BYO to Flatland Brewing). The receipt and Google Map info for this location actually shows up as "La Fiesta - Capital" in case you're confused about directions. Have been to this West Sac location a few times, mostly for work since the outdoor patio is good for groups. On my first visit ever I think I got a steak quesadilla which was huge. This time I got carne asada fries which took a while (came out last) and an horchata, but to be fair my group had like eight people's worth of food ordered. The free chips and salsa were ok, the salsas were literally fire! The table got 2 super burritos, 1 regular quesadilla, side of rice and beans, 2 ceviche camaron tostadas, 1 taco salad, 1 regular burrito, my carne asada fries, 6 medium aguas frescas, and 1 medium soda. There is a $0.50 charge for paying with a credit card, although on the receipt it showed up as a "cash discount off." It was a pretty popular lunchtime spot, and of course, with such a big group everyone had to order at the counter first and pay. For dine-in, everything came out correctly. A few of us even needed to-go boxes. Parking can be tight.

Called in a phone order for 2 jumbo burritos. One was made correctly the other one was supposed to be no sour cream but for some reason I wasn't allowed to have salsa on that burrito. Also these are both jumbo burritos but both completely different sizes. We asked them to label the burritos which they did. But they labeled them the opposite of what's actually in the burrito. They only put guacamole at one end of the burrito not throughout.

We have gone to this location for years. We went today for fish tacos. They are no longer grilled fish but bits of fish battered and deep fried. Yuck
