La Chupaleta Ice Cream & More

This is a small place with a fair selection of ice cream and other treats. They have traditional and specialty flavors. We just stopped in for a horchata ice cream. It was delicious.This isn't the sort of place you sit and dine at. It's more grab and go. Service was nice and efficient. Thai place is tucked away in a corner next to a Mexican restaurant, so easy to miss. And parking lot is kind of small. Looks like they have mango dessert and other things on menu too, so worth a try next time.

We come here every once in a while when in Sacramento. Love the alote and aquas crema!

Been craving this!! The prices were reasonable(6.99 / each) due to covid. The drink itself is pretty good. It's only about 93 degrees here in Sac and wow what a refresher. We'll be coming here often. Although, the little boy was not wearing any gloves when he handed back my card which was a concern. Other than that, I'll be coming back.

The inside isn't very big and they have a few tables outside with little benches for kids. They have a good sized menu of items ranging from ice cream, shaved ice to more fancy things like mangonada's. They even had Spumoni ice cream which is rarely seen. The ladies at the counter greeted us in Spanish and my husband who speaks Spanish acted like he didn't know what they were saying and they left to get an employee from the store next door. Oops! Talk about a joke gone wrong. We got the Taki Locos which is Takis, peanuts, cueritos (pickled pig skin), cucumbers, tamarindo, and chamoy. It was good, the spiciness of the Takis paired well this the sweetness of the tamarind and chamoy. The waffle fruita is a nice warm, fluffy waffle topped with vanilla ice cream, strawberries, bananas, chocolate and caramel (cajeta) sauce with whipped cream and a cherry. This was tasty as well, the waffle was perfectly made but not a fan of the choice of vanilla ice cream. It was the yellow ice cream that tastes fake. The mangonada was perfectly made and by far my favorite. The combination of mango, tamarind and chamoy just hit the spot. And they didn't skimp on the mango, It was full of chunks of mango.

Very artificial flavoring. Ordered raspado de coco, the shaved ice was not done well, more like a block of ice and the coconut flavor was too sweet very artificial flavor. Also order un agua de horchata, again super sweet artificial flavor, more like sugar water with hint of cinnamon. First time here and last, very bad first impression. The street vendors are better. P.S. Beware if you pay cash they short change you and lie to your face.

Was craving a mangoneada for quite a while now and read some good reviews about this specific store. Went in was greeted and placed my order with ease and happiness. I watched the mangoneada get put together in front of me and marveled at how great it looked! Let me just say the taste is even better than how it looks! Will definitely return and recommend to others!

The mangoneada was the best & had fresh mangos! There is many ice cream flavors to choose from. They have elotes too!

Ordered medium ewgulae mangonada $10.00. Hits the spot. Pricey for a mangonada but quality is there. Give this place a shot.

No vallan a este lugar fui con mi hijo y pedí 2 elotes. No me digieren que no los vendían solo envaso. De todos modos los compré y casi fueron $20 . El lugar cierra a las 8 y el señor nos corrio antes disque porque tenía algo que hacer . No me ofreció ni una bolsa para llevarme la comida .Busquen a otro lugar mejor

We come all the way from Stockton ca to try this place! We got limon & pepino drinks with chamoy & tajin, so refreshing & yummy on this hot day! We will be back !
