L&L Hawaiian Barbecue

L&L is the bomb ! Food is always fresh and customer service is good. I love the entire menu but my frequent orders are the combo with ribs and bbq chicken with rice and macaroni. Don't forget to get a side of their lumpia and spam musubi! Make sure you call in your order as it can be a wait sometimes. I also love their breakfast ! I get the spam and eggs , Portuguese sausage and eggs orLoco moco.

This L&L went downhill. Now the last time I went to this location before my recent visit was maybe a year ago. A year ago the food was decent and customer service still existed because they didn't have the self service kiosks yet. After my most recent visit I don't think I'll go back to this location. I ordered a BBQ chicken plate. Everything in the meal was very bland. I probably could've got some cooked chicken at the grocery store and it would've tasted better and cost me less. In the future I'll probably go to a different L&L if I'm craving it.

I've been here 3 times in the past 5-6 years and ordered the exact same thing, Loco Moco. It's a disappointment every time. And I've been to multiple L&L locations in Northern California. Both the Loco Moco and Mac Salad here are lacking in the savory taste department.

Ordered some catering trays for work and asked for a pickup time of 11am next day. It's challenging to find places that have food ready at 11 these days. The staff checked with the owner who agreed to call staff in early to accommodate the request. Thank you! The team at work enjoyed the BBQ chicken, chicken katsu, and macaroni salad. Tip: They will cut up BBQ chicken upon request. Thought we might have some leftovers. NOPE! I ended up submitting an online order for dinner. Glad I did because there was a line when I arrived. My son loves the BBQ mix plate. Very flavorful and great portion size. Snapped a few pics before son ate it up! Good service and food. L&L also supports local organization through dining fundraisers too.

With the closure of Hawaiian Boys and Taste Above L&L is the only option left for a decent Loco Moco in the Pocket/Greenhaven area. Portions aren't what they used to be since the pandemic but L&L still serves up some tasty Hawaiian BBQ. This location also serves some delicious freezes as well.

Greeted up on entering with little wait to place my order. Has a few tables inside to dine in or wait for food to go orders. Ordered the seafood mix & bbq mix with rice & mac.Love the portions. A standard meal can easily feed two people. $ 18.99 Seafood mix came with fried fish & 4 fried prawns, 2 scoops of rice, 1 scoop of Mac with cabbage. $17.99 Bbq mix had beef, chicken & short ribs with same sides. Prepared with flavor & good textures. Rice was soft, Mac was seasoned well.For a fast food meal that's served with rice this hits the spot every time without breaking my wallet.

Always a good spot if you want some good bbq chicken. They have good soft drinks as well. The ordering has seemed to have gone to automatic which is always kinda interesting. They got some tvs while you wait on your meal which is always a plus! Call in advance as they make everything to order which is amazing!

Ordered catering from here for a work party and everything was amazing. We had the bbq chicken, katsu chicken, rice, salad, spam musubi, lumpia and macaroni salad. Everything was so good, everyone enjoyed it. There was something for everyone. Their catering prices were very reasonable, especially to other catering options we looked at. Will add this to our normal places to frequent. Highly recommend!

Fall of 2023 I was going to this spot a couple times a month. I stopped though because the beef was always over cooked with just too much over heated sticky dried out and burned flavored sauce on it. I gave this place a rest from my presence for many months. I ate here tonight though and one of the ladies in the back did the meats sooo right. The beef was pretty darn tender. Not over cooked at all !!!Whomever you are, I thank you tremendously!The 2nd pic below is from tonight the 1st is how it used to always be, tough and dry. Just OVERcooked!Also, the lady working the front had a very nice welcoming demeanor. They obviously hire good people here. I've never seen an employee here with anything other than a good attitude.

I got food poisoning from their chicken katsu, and so did my family. This is not the first time I've noticed quality issues with the food here but it is the first time I've gotten sick off it.
