I'll never come to The Place again... rip off,.. I don't believe they gave me all the meat that I had them butcher... good thing they change the hours three weeks ago. I showed up at seven and was scolded for being early. Told me to wait outside for almost 45 minutes until they could help me. They mentioned they give a discount for cash. They did not. I paid over $450 for their service.. not to mention the delivery drivers go out of their way to give you a bad time. I will not do business with Kountry Meats again-I can't believe this place have 4.5 starsThe big man behind the counter was pushy and rude

Nice people here, sufficient service. All the products they turned my deer into were tasty! However I feel like a substantial portion of meat was absent when I picked up the finished product; when it was done 5 weeks after I dropped it off. The next one I killed I butchered myself and had almost double the amount of meat that I got back on my first deer.

These guys are great! Took my call on a Sunday night, after hours and opened shop early Monday morning to take in my wild hog. Explained all my options and laid out all the prices. His estimate of cost was almost spot on. I thought the prices were reasonable until I got the meat back a couple weeks later. That's when I realized I got a great deal. Everything was vacuum sealed, packaged and boxed up. Amazing job! Will be bringing all my future animals here! It's nice to find a butcher and guy that is good at what he does and is easy to talk to. Immaculate shop and great guy! Thank you!!!

Amazing, artful butchers who know meat and will help you through the complicated process of breaking down an entire animal into familiar cuts. We love Levi for his passion and education on all things meat! January is the amazing person who gladly takes your instructions and helps out on everything else. We've been using Kountry Meats for 4 years, and we'll keep coming back for all our butchery needs. The prices for cut and wrap are a little higher than some others, but the efficient precision and care of the cuts, the extra thick protective packaging for deep freezing, and service are the right justification. My only request is to offer the option of hickory smoked meats in addition to maple. Love me some hickory bacon!!

This will be my second whole hog I have had butchered, and I have had a full beef done there as well (I have a friend who raises them for me - no drugs..no chemical laced feed)..I have zero complaint..they call you up, take your order on what you want, cuts, smoked, etc...they hang the beef for you as well. Everything comes frozen, vacuum sealed, labled with the product and weight as well. Yes, you pay a little more..but the quality is worth it. If you kill it (deer, elk, game, etc) they will do the same as well.

I have been to several butcher shops to get my deer processed throughout the years, and we have some great shops in the area but Kounrty Meats is by far the BEST. the packaging is top notch and the actual cutting of the meat, it is well trimmed and cut just right, I had a request to make bone in French standing rib roast and they look absolutely amazing, the bones are clean, the meat is perfectly trimmed, and the packaging is perfect, and I dont have to spend another 30 minutes preparing the roast before I cook it. to top it off the smoked sausage will make anyone a lover of the venison!

Just picked up my deer today. The carcass weighed 135 lbs and all they did was steaks and chops. They bagged the trim so I can make jerky. No salami, sausage, or jerky and it cost me $269.32. I only got back 61 lbs of meat out of a 135 lb carcass. That's $4.41 per lb to cut and wrap. And they charged me $12.82 for the two small cardboard boxes it came in.They do good work, but that is way too expensive. The next one I will cut up and weigh myself to see the difference

I found Kountry Meats after calling the butcher shops around my area and either being told they were not taking wild game at this time due to the current pandemic or that they were full and no longer taking any drop offs. I was running out of options and I needed to get my buck in to get processed ASAP. I decided to make the trip to Kountry Meats and I'm glad I did. Levi and his wife January were both very knowledgeable and professional and were willing to process my deer even after being slammed with drop offs for the day. That kind of customer service goes a long way with me and I will now be taking all my future wild game to them for processing. Thank you for being the real deal and handling your business with your customers in mind. Looking forward to the tasty venison!

Great little place out in the middle of Elk Grove country, I always deal with the same folks going in there. They butcher pretty much any wild game, ie wild boar, deer, water fowl, turkey's, etc. They'll even do pigs & cows as long as they come from an approved slaughter house (no home kills). They specialize in about 2 dozen sausage flavors, links & patties (also bulk sausage in 1lb blocks. Their product is always packaged amazing, never had to deal with freezer burn and we have stuff from over a year ago still holding strong! They do some awesome smoking, think turkey, ham, jerky... But I must say this is not a processor for the lazy hunter, you have to do some work too, everything has to be gutted/ skinned beforehand & if you are looking at sausage using water fowl, turkey, etc. expect to de-bone your items and provide them with just the meat (they mix about 50/50 adding their own pork). They have some requirements on quantities and such so make sure you check with them for specifics but I've been nothing but happy with their service.

Kountry Meats does not sell retail meat, custom cutting only.Kountry Meats offers custom ranch butchering for beef, hogs, lambs, goats & does Wild Game processing, including fresh sausages, smoked sausages, salami, jerky, smoked hams, bacon, smoked birds & sausages from your wild game birds too. All smoking is done in house.Ranch animals must be killed by a professional slaughter butcher, call for a phone number of someone in your area. Kountry meats does not allow self kills of domestic animals because of inspection laws, which is why a slaughter butcher is necessary. Wild game must be gutted and skinned, so be prepared to do it before dropping it off, or call to see if someone there can help you with it after hours. Inspectors don't allow hair in the butcher shop. After hours drop offs are available for Wild Game animals. Call approx. an hour ahead if you are on your way into Elk Grove. Although it is not recommended to leave the hide on, skinning is also available at this time as well. The after hours number is 916-897-4215Call Kountry Meats for more information or if you have any questions.
