Kotteri is a lovely, cozy littler ramen shop that really gets the job done when you're craving a ramen fix. Two of us ordered and got our food in about 5 minutes during a moderately busy dinner hour. The tonkatsu red ramen was fresh and delicious. My partner enjoyed the hokkaido cheese ramen, although the portion was so generous for the "regular" size she took most of it home! The gyoza was crispy and tasty. There were other standard plates available for this kind of Japanese place as well, but nothing too fancy.Oh and bonus for the cute comic about how to eat ramen for those who aren't familiar!

My boyfriend and I were visiting this place monthly because it was our favorite. A few months ago we returned and ordered the same thing we always do only to find out they changed the pork (and changed the way they cook it) in the tonkatsu red ramen. The staff is always great and very attentive. We never have to wait to be seated but unfortunately the change in meat was our dealbreaker.

My partner and I went here for lunch yesterday and it was one of the best ramen places in the Sac area for sure. I got the tonkotsu red and the chashu, egg, broth, and noodles were all perfect texture and flavor. I definitely want to come back and try their Hokkaido cheese ramen. The service here is great, the food comes out quick. It's also clean and nicely decorated inside. Lots of parking too.

Easy go to ramen spot in Elk Grove. Service is good and food comes out quickly. Broths are flavorful, eggs are always perfectly cooked, and good amount of toppings. They don't have their rice and curry menu option anymore, but they still have other rice dishes and they're starting to add different ramen specials.

Was in the mood for some Ramen so we spontaneously went to Kotteri while out running errands. Not sure if they take reservations but we walked in and were greeted by our host and were seated within seconds. I loved how their menu did not have so many items on it so it was very easy to read. I ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen and as someone that loves spicy food, I did not think it was spicy at all. But depending on how much heat you can handle, it may be spicy for you. Service was great and the location was very clean, looking forward to going back again.

This place has been one of those comforting staples, the kind of place you go when you want a bowl of ramen that delivers on flavor, portion, and consistency. The broth is deep, rich, and satisfying. The noodles are springy, well cooked, and plentiful. They also offer some unique ramen flavors like Hokkaido cheese ramen and black garlic tonkotsu. The appetizers have been dropping on quality though, they weren't outstanding to start with honestly but now they're slipping. The seaweed salad and shrimp tempura I tried recently were disappointing. The shrimp tempura was limp and lifeless, while the seaweed salad lacked the fresh flavor it's supposed to have. I couldn't even manage a second bite. Kotteri, I'm rooting for you. You've got the soul of a great ramen shop, but these appetizers are holding you back. Fix them or ditch them, because the rest of the menu deserves better.

My go to ramen spot in Elk Grove. What can I say besides this place has a great vibe to it. I really enjoy the sense of style and it's not too busy and loud. Staff is always great and food comes out fast and consistent. I generally go with a bowl of ramen but this time I decided to experiment with the chashudon and WOW! The Chashu was always my favorite part of ramen but topped with rice and their sweet ginger glaze and I think I have found a new favorite. This place is a must try out in EG. Only issues is parking can be a bit rough out there and also they don't serve any alcoholic beverages. But that's a small price to pay for such a great ramen spot in EG

Tried the large shoyu Ramen on a cold, rainy day. Arrived at 11 when they opened on a weekday and the restaurant quickly filled up. Service was fast and friendly. The large ramen was very filling and enough for leftovers. The broth flavor was solid-but There's also chili oil available to add on the side if you need a little spice. I'd say this is better than Maru Ramen if you're looking for a place to get your Ramen fix in Elk Grove.
