Stumbled upon this absolute GEM in December.Cute little space with a sushi bar and a few tables. Definitely want to sit at the bar next time because it looks fun Food was absolutely amazing I had oyster shooters here for the first time and they're now my favorite thing.Service was amazing and she was very helpful in explaining how to properly take an oyster shooter. It's right across from the winery location me and my friend were at and definitely will be back soon

Wandered into this hole in the wall in downtown Sacramento while having a craving for something light. I ordered their negitoro, snow crab, scallop, salmon, and the kicker, A5 wagyu hand rolls. The negitoro is finely chopped, subtly seasoned, I was expecting more of a churtoro or otoro for this price but it was still a premium hand roll. The snow crab brings a light, sweet touch, really highlighting the quality you want from snow crab. The scallop hand roll is a winner, fresh with that rich, buttery texture that just dissolves in your mouth. The salmon was also buttery and zesty, refreshing in some way. And that A5 wagyu? It's decadent, a serious indulgence. Now, the price point is a bit steep, especially when the fish could be a bit more top-shelf. But honestly, the overall experience holds up, and I'm dropping a solid 4 out of 5 on this place. If you're in Sacramento, definitely swing by Kinjo. It's the kind of spot where you can enjoy some finger foods and good beer during a quick lunch break.

Visited in August 2024.This is a nice little hole in the wall place in midtown for hand rolls! The fish was fresh and the flavors were great. Highly recommend if you're craving sushi or japanese food. The pork belly fries were also amazing! Crispy fries with a good amount of pork belly. The prices are a little high though. Would like to see larger portions to match the prices or some nice happy hour deals.

We stopped in here for a Friday evening meal and were the first in the door. The sushi chef/server for us was super friendly and explained the process right away. I'm sure it'll change in the future, but locating the place is a little confusing with the awning having a different business name than what's inside - hopefully they'll get worked out soon. We tried a few hand rolls and ordered a couple more. We had the gyoza as well. Everything was good, but nothing truly outstanding and memorable in my opinion. I'd also recommend the business invest in some cheap wine glasses, it's kind of weird drinking a white wine out of a pint glass. Otherwise, I'd check the place out again if I was in the area.

I loved my experience at the Kinjo Hand Roll Bar! Everything on the menu sounded incredibly delicious, but I went with the creamy scallop and spicy tuna. The creamy scallop was definitely my favorite of the two. Although, both tasted very fresh and flavorful. We were able to sit at the bar and watch the chefs make the rolls in front of us which was pretty cool! It's a small spot but very nicely curated and amazing staff. We went on a Wednesday night, so the service was fast. I am looking forward to visiting again!

Kinjo Hand Roll Bar has been on my list to try since they opened. For some reason I'm not in this area a lot, maybe it's the one hour parking or maybe I just need that extra push. There are so many great businesses over here.I lucked into one of the few two-hour parking spots and met with a friend to check out a few of the nearby spots. We stopped into Kinjo Hand Roll Bar around 5:30ish and the staff greeted us right away. It's pretty small, but has a great vibe. We sat at the bar and had the opportunity to see the chefs make all the rolls. We each ordered two hand rolls. We each ordered a creamy scallop hand roll ($7.50 each), I got an unagi hand roll ($7.50) and my friend got a spicy tuna hand roll ($7). They made one at a time for each of us so that the nori stayed crunchy and they were rolled into tubes versus cones so that the protein was evenly spread throughout. The creamy scallop hand roll was tasty and even with the chili garlic it wasn't spicy- just flavorful. The unagi hand roll was savory and sweet and nice and warm. We were stopping at a few different restaurants, otherwise we would have ordered more and maybe tried some of the small plates. I also saw a sign for lunch bento boxes which sound great too. This spot is probably best for dates, small groups, a solo meal or quick take out. I could see it filling up quickly. We had a great time sitting at the bar and I could see myself easily hanging out for a couple hours, enjoying rolls and drinks.

Small restaurant with great food and super friendly staff. Jimmy was the chef preparing my hand rolls and he was awesome. The fish is fresh and there were some pretty stellar handrolls - my favorite in particular being the ocean fresh handroll! One of the best flavor combos I've had in a handroll....hands down! Haha the bluefin tuna was also excellent. I also feel their prices are pretty fairly set. The only reason I give Kinjo 4 stars is because their seaweed isn't quite on par with other handroll restaurants I've been too. It lacks the same level of toasted flavor and even though it is served fresh, it doesn't have that same crisp clean break. I suspect they are just using normal sushi nori. If they upgrade to some premium nori - they would be knock out!

Came here with my sister and my brother in law to grab some grub before a late night show so here we are. We came around 7pm and waited until we were seated. There was only one table available as the bar was full and every other table was occupied. I ordered the 3 premium handrolls (Uni ikura, bluefin toro, and A5 wagyu.) I also ordered the spicy tuna and creamy scallop hand-roll. The food here was okay. It wasn't bad but it also didn't really grab my attention. The service here was also lackluster. Our server was very detached hardly ever seen. She gave us waters once and never came back to refill them. It seemed like she only cared towards the end when she was giving us the check. Maybe you the fellow Yelp reader will have a better experience than we did. Try it out if you like. :(

This is a tiny place next to a floral shop. I walked in with my brother and husband and felt super awkward just waiting to be seated. We were just standing waiting to be acknowledged. There was one table available but we didn't want to just assume we could sit there. It was loud when we walked in and the sushi counter was full. We were seated at a table and given ice water. There was nothing on the menu that stood out to me besides the 3 premium handrolls (wagyu, toro, uni). The toro and uni tasted fresh but it was kind of salty. the wagyu was just ok. I think this place has potential but it's the service that needs major improvement. The waitress just seemed detached or disengaged. She was not attentive, friendly and didn't even refill our water once. I feel like she didn't really start talking to us until we had the check. My brother and I were still hungry but we didn't order more because we thought it would take too long and I didn't really think they deserved my money to be honest.

WOW. Try this place! This tiny little restaurant seats a small amount of customers but offer amazing hand rolls. I don't usually like handrolls because I feel like they fall apart. It is a personal lack of experience, i'm sure. My son has been here several times and he did the honor of ordering most of the dishes. The Kobe roll was AMAZING. We ended up having a couple each.
