**Review for King's Mediterranean Food, Sacramento, CA (Downtown)**Stopped by King's Mediterranean Food in downtown Sacramento for lunch, and I'm thrilled with the experience. I ordered the chicken salad, which was packed with juicy chicken pieces, cucumber chunks, fresh tomato, and lettuce. It came with two dressings: a tangy vinaigrette and a creamy tzatziki. This salad was light and delightful--exactly what I needed.Ordering at the counter was a breeze, thanks to the friendly staff and quick service. At this time around 1pm it was not too busy in the restaurant. The location is perfect, right across the street from Cesar Chavez Park and next to the Golden 1 Center, making it a convenient spot for a quick, delicious meal. The restaurant would be somewhere I would grab and go.I will definitely be back to try more of their menu. Highly recommend.

Got off Amtrak and was hungry and looked for somewhere to eat. My sister picked this spot and it's our first time to try this place. She got the Chicken Bowl and I got the Combo Platter. For chicken bowl, you have a choice of how spicy. My sister wanted how they would normally do it. She said it was spicy with the spice powder, but it was fleeting. She can handle it. The combo platter comes with chicken and gyro and both were flavorful. The chicken was not dry and not hard. It's just right. The combo tzatziki and chutney sauce poured over the chicken and gyro and rice add layers of flavor with tanginess from both. Food took a few minutes, but came out fresh. Small space and clean. Thank you.

Quality food with a middle eastern bent makes a great meal downtown at King's Mediterranean Food.I have been take out Friday lunch here for a bit. I'm a late (2-3) luncher, and appreciate that they are open when many spots close up. They are also open later at night for post-arena event eats. They have the kitchen and ordering in front, with a long line of tables if you would like to eat in. Very friendly staff, although some have more limited english. I wonder if they may be afghani :)I really like their falafel. It isn't really spicy, has lots of heft with the chickpeas, and is perfectly crunchy. I've had it in wraps, on salads, and you can also get it over rice. The produce is fresh and flavorful, and they don't over-sauce which I really appreciate. I also liked the fries. Reasonably priced, my meals always leave me stuffed and satisfied.Head out to King's Mediterranean Food for a tasty bite in the heart of downtown Sac.

I had several Mediterranean restaurants bookmarked as potential lunch spots while we were visiting the capitol. It ended up being that this restaurant was the closest of the ones bookmarked. It was not at the top of my list but I'm glad we ended up here. The food was great! The service was good. There's not much to say about the ambiance itself. It was fine.

Randomly stop here to pick up late dinner. The large food pics grabbed my attention. I got the Beef/Lamb Gyro. I asked if they make lamb by itself and was told no. I thought that was odd. The Gyro was just okay. The meat is on the dry side. Sauce was good. The pita was fresh. Looks like a lunch spot for state workers and people who still work in downtown area. Plenty of tables to dine in. I highly doubt I will be back because parking is limited on J Street area.

Checking out halal options near by office and happened to hear about this place. I would say avoid the Falafel for it being dry and just not worth it. The chicken Philly was absolutely amazing though and was very tasty and fresh. Service was really nice and efficient. Definitely will be back. Prices are reasonable. Parking would be a nightmare but luckily can walk from my office.
