Kids Dance & Fitness

Miss April is awesome! We've only been coming for a couple of months but it totally fits our needs. Our girls love it and its a fair price. Love that the kiddos are doing a combo class, half tap half ballet. Was a little hard to find at first, so arrive early your first time.

Ms April and Kids Dance Stuido is by far the best dance studio in Nor Cal!! My child has been apart of this studio since she was 3 years old and she is now 8 and still going strong.Ms.April and staff are professional fun and friendly.I would strongly recommend this dance studio for anyone considering enrolling their child in dance.The experience will be one of a kind and like no other. I would give then 10 stars if I could but Yelp only allows 5 (smile)

Best kids dance studio in Sacramento!!! Classes are well organized, instructors are engaged, and kids are motivated.

April called her 5 year ballet class to the side with all parents just before the recital. She gave each girl a compliment. I love your beautiful blonde hair, it's always so cute. The next girl, I love your beautiful blue eyes. The next girl, you always try your best.i smiled as she went one by one to each girl lifting them up. She got to my daughter (the only brown child) who was new and just there for a week. She crunches down in my child's face & in front of everyone says with a frown, "you need to smile more! " and walks off. No words of encouragement at all that she gave to all the other girls. My daughter dropped her chin so sad & discouraged& my heart sunk!Countless other things happened while we were there including April always coming to me with sarcasm saying, "God! You're so pretty. I just hate you".Needless to say that was our first & last recital.

The teacher only looked at and talked to the white parents and ignored me and refused to even look at me, I'm not white, I don't think I can work with someone who won't even acknowledge me and potentially make my kid feel bad as she is not white

Kids Dance & Fitness is a great place for kids. I have had 2 of my boys come here for both the Creative Movement class and Beginning Hip Hop. Creative movement is preschool aged kids doing ballet, tap and tumbling on the mats! My boys are usually the only boys in the class and some times they can get a little amped up, but Ms April has been working with kids for decades and doesn't bat an eyelash. This is such a healthy and happy place for kids to be kids and learn. My boys love it. Thank you Ms April!

We love Kids Dance & Fitness! My daughter has been taking ballet/tap classes here for almost three years and it's always a highlight of her week. It is exactly the kind of environment I was hoping for when I first looked for a dance class: learning that's fun, real dance steps/moves, but not a high pressure situation like every child has to be on a track to do this professionally or for competition. The bi-annual recitals have been so much fun for my daughter to participate in & for us to watch. I love that she has this opportunity to gain confidence, feel comfortable on stage, learn to love dance, and get some exercise (get out some energy)!
