I love Kaia! This is an extremely supportive group of women who motivate and encourage anyone wanting to get fit. The workouts are always different and always challenging. The only bad workout is the one you didn't do!

Kaia is my absolute favorite! This might be a long review, but it's worth it to share my love for Kaia! I joined in December during a promotion to see if I liked it before signing up for the membership. I had been going to a gym and working out alone and not doing alot of variety or intensity and wasn't seeing any results. At that point, my wedding was 9 months out and I was ready to really push myself. The workouts are intense but they demonstrate each workout in 3 different levels. The good thing is even the first level is challenging and a great workout. The workouts are always changing and the variety of the class makes an hour go by quickly! I'm on my 4th month of Kaia & there are still new exercises in classes that I haven't done before. I knew something shifted in my outlook on working out when I said at the end of one of the classes "that was fun!" I was like, did I really just say that? Who am I? Lol.All of the coaches are great and are SO motivating to keep you focused, push yourself, and make sure your form is in line so you're not going to injure yourself. It frequently happens where I'll be working out with a certain weight and they'll have me swap it for a heavier one to test it out. And 100% of the time I'm fully capable of using that heavier weight but I never would have grabbed it myself! Especially at a gym on my own, I would have easily gone months using that smaller weight. At the end of the workouts, you stretch and the coaches typically go over fit tips, nutrition tips, etc. It really keeps you on track not only for that hour in the gym, but the rest of your day outside the gym. After my first month, I committed to doing their 6 week BRIK program because I was hooked & seeing results. During BRIK, I was extra focused on challenging myself, following the meal plan, and coming at least 4 times a week.At the end of BRIK, I lost almost 9 lbs & 7 inches BUT I gained so much strength, dedication, and love for working out!Other than the physical results, the mental outlook on exercising/paying attention to nutrition/pushing past goals and making new ones is the best part of Kaia! With my wedding now about 5 months out, I'm not only excited to feel great in my wedding dress, but also know that I will have the energy & endurance to hike around the mountains (where our wedding is) and around the venue all day and night and not be fatigued! Plus, I plan on continuing Kaia long after the wedding! If you're considering trying it, I highly recommend it! You'll probably be obsessed after your first class :)

I just completed my six week Kaia FIT Session as of 7AM this morning! It was a deal that LivingSocial offered for just $39! I actually got the deal for free since I had 3 friends sign up. Thanks to my 3 friends! :-)All of the Kaia programs are for women only! The six weeks simply flew by and I saw results throughout the course of the program. We started off with a one week detox (NO alcohol, carbs, sugar over 9g, dairy, or processed foods). That cleaned out our colons and jump-started our metabolisms. At first I was like, "What? No carbs? No rice... ???" but I told myself from the beginning I was going to commit to the program and that I did. For the remainder of the program we still had a strict nutritional plan that built on from the detox. Week 2 we went meatless, so that was when I made friends with tofu! Slowly we were able to add good carbs and dairy back into our diet. We worked out 3 days a week, 1 day in the gym and 2 days at a local park. Being able to exercise in the different parks was a nice break from being in the gym, although I love their gym too. It's not your traditional gym. There weren't any weights or machines around. Almost all of the training we did was sans equipment, sometimes a kettle bell or a resistance band or a jump rope. And each work out is different so you are never bored or know what to expect. A good and a bad thing! All of the trainers/coaches are wonderful: beautiful, strong, and motivating. Each of them became my muse. When you are surrounded by women who are healthy and happy, it really pushes you to achieve those same goals. They were all so helpful and accommodating, whether you needed a modification to an exercise you were doing or a food substitute. They also send out weekly newsletter emails that include the meal plans and recipes, and to give you words of encouragement, as well as provide nutrition and fit tips. They support you and they push you. As far as my results go, I don't normally weigh or measure myself, but I can just FEEL the difference. You know sometimes you have those fat days where you just can't fit into any of your clothes? Well, I don't have those anymore. I even have some abs! I was a varsity athlete throughout high school and I can honestly say I have not felt or looked better in my life.Kaia also has peak performance programs where you can train for a triathlon or other athletic endeavors. They will also sporadically organize hikes and fun, active things to do on the weekend. Here's the caveat: I only tried this program because I literally didn't have to spend any money on it. But still, for the results, the prices are very reasonable. The program that I did (normally a 5 week program, not 6) runs $129. It's not something I can afford to do all year round like some of the ladies, but a great deal to get in the best shape of your life. They also offer a 5 day a week, 6 week Bikini BRIK program for $229. I think I will try that next!

The first time I tried it out I was hooked! It's an amazing group of girls who are super supportive of one another and it's truly infectious! The girls arrange spirit days to keep it fun and interesting! Classes are led by really knowledgable coaches who push you to your peak, and can always help you modify exercises if you need. They also provide you with diet options and lots of online tools like the Kaia cookbook full of lots of healthy whole food recipes!Kaia is for ALL ABILITIES! No matter what your level, these coaches can help you reach your goals! It's not cliquey, and there's no judgement here! Just a really great support system! After my first month of Kaia, I quit my regular gym membership because after starting Kaia I don't ever want to go to a boring regular gym again. Kaia is all I need :D hardest, most fun workouts I've ever done!

I like this place. The workouts are hard but they make it fun. I always have sore muscles the next day. They also offer yoga. I enjoyed that class too. It's so great to not have any gross men working out at the same time as you.

Kaia has exceeded all expectations. I'm new to Sacramento and I've been on the hunt for a good gym for a while now. I visited a few other gyms around town before settling with Kaia. One of my biggest concerns with other gyms in town was safety. With winter approaching and shorter hours of daylight I wanted to find a gym I felt safe visiting after dark. I feel so comfortable attending classes here. This is also my first time attending an all women's gym and holy cow it's a breathe of fresh air. Never have to deal with cat calls or creepy comments here. I've been with Kaia for about 2 months now and I've loved every class. The coaches are fabulous. Each has their own way of encouraging you to get through the workout. The classes themselves are challenging. There are different levels for each set too so you never feel like you're dying or bored. I feel incredible mentally and physically after each class. If you are new, be sure to ask to join the Kaia Facebook groups. It's nice being linked into the Kaia community outside the gym too. There are always open groups for the different races around the area too! My only wish was that there were more classes!

Kaia F.I.T is, in a word, awesome. No matter your level of fitness or your goals this is a workout regimen that will help you meet them. Great, coaches, fun workouts and real results. It pretty much does not get better than that.

I've been hoping and praying to find a "gym" that met all my needs. This did it all! And in 45 min of a workout I burn 500 calories or more! The people are super sweet and motivating, and the available class times are perfect for any schedule!

Kaia fit seems to be the right fit for a lot of ppl based on these reviews and full class size. I wanted to give beginners some information as to what to expect so that you aren't taken by surprise at your first class. 1. The east sac location does not have AC. It is in a warehouse type facility with a few fans on and a lot of girls working out inside. Even if it's 100 degrees you work out in the heat, and run outside in the heat as well.2. I was told to bring a jump rope, mat, and gloves to class. You do not need these- they have plenty of jump ropes and mats there. I noticed after class they don't get cleaned before the next class though, so if this bothers you you may want to bring your own. 3. The coach will introduce you to the class. The girls were very friendly and gave me high fives and words of encouragement throughout the class.4. There are three different levels to the workout moves so you can modify based on your level. I wore a chest strap heart monitor and even though I did the beginning level of the exercises my heart rate ranged from 143-176 for about about 80% (which is really intense for the most beginner level of the exercises). If you are a beginner, this is a grueling workout, even at the beginner modification level. I burned 734 calories in one workout, similar to what I burn during a 45 min intense cycle class. 5. The coach will walk around and check everyone's form and help you do things properly to your ability.6. There is a workout list of exercises on a chalk board like cross fit, and the coach demonstrates the exercises.7. You run (or walk briskly) outside so if you are self-conscious of cars driving by and looking at you when you run, just a heads up. 8. The east sac location is $139/month for the core session (3 circuit training workouts a week). They have optional $10 workouts on the other weekdays. (Different locations have different owners who may do things differently, such as alternating circuit training, strength training, and yoga days). I've concluded that based on the intensity and no AC in the heat that this isn't the right fit for me at $139/month, but you can always get a free trial week to help you figure out if it is right for you.

I joined in November after needing to regain some of the energy and confidence I had lost with age, work and the every day stuff of life. I was cranky and spending too much time on my couch. It was time for a change. My boss did Kaia through a Groupon deal and she suggested it. I looked it up and was super scared that I'd be in over my head. I emailed and got a prompt and friendly response from Megan that helped me feel like I wasn't going to relive the worst moments of 8th grade P.E. She told me I could try it out for free. So I did and it was... well, fun is the wrong word, but it was actually fun and HARD, but in a good way. It's women only and it's all kinds of women -- ages, shapes and fitness levels. (So maybe the pregnant woman in my class out paces me from time to time, it's cool!)I was working out, but not very hard, about 3-4 days a week. I think this helped me a little bit, but Kaia is intense. It's not cutesy or baby-ish. It's not girly, but it's for women, if that makes sense. You feel empowered and inspired and sometimes overwhelmed and sweaty and ready to quit. But you don't. And then you want to go all the time.If you are on the fence, ask to check out one free class. If you want to do some cute aerobics or avoid sweating, this isn't the place for you.If you want to feel like you worked out fo' reals, then this is your place.I also think you get great value for your money. You get attention, support and tips for modifications if something is too hard or (on the off chance) too easy. They emphasize safety. The price is much more reasonable than the other bootcamp type classes/gyms I looked into and it's just a more friendly environment.Go. For. It.
