Absolutely go and shop! Friendly people, fresh groceries, clean bathrooms, and reasonable prices. Their kebabs are juicy and delicious--once you try them, you'll be addicted!However, I suggest that their to-go wrap kebabs come with just a little green salad.

2nd time here got the bolani and qabali. The man at the front counter is super friendly and always gives such great service. The food is amazing you can actually eat in the back where there are chairs and tables set up. The portions of the bolani can probably feed 3-4 people. My wife and I didn't finish the qabali. We also ordered some naan bread, it's the zie of a pizza and only a $1.30 each. If they were closer I'd get the qabali every week.

I live in East Bay California Anytime when I have a trip to Sacramento definitely I visit Kabul city market First of all, I feel like I am in Kabul all the crew inside this market working as a team together The Teka kebab is stunning delicious and also fresh baked mane is wonderful thank you Kabul market crew

This is a grocery store with a mix of middle eastern and central Asian products. It also has a kitchen and bakery where you can pick up fresh Afghani breads. There's a back room behind white curtains that serves as seating for this informal restaurant, and the entrance to another, larger room used for events. I ordered the beef and lamb gyro with French fries, and had a pomegranate drink to go with it. The food arrived a short time after I was shown the seating and it was hot and delicious- and the fries were lightly seasoned and good to the last, now cold, fry! I finished every bite. Highly recommend. TL;DRNot high in ambiance, the limited menu delivers excellence.
