JJ's smoke N BBQ

I enjoyed their bbq... But my Wife didn't. She thought their ribs weren't lean enough. Difference of opinions, I thought they were fine. Perhaps we'll need to go again, for another test?Unfortunately, not many bbq ribs choices in the Rocklin area.

It's been a loooong time since my hot husband has been bragging about this place and asking to take our family to taste and confirm. Well...last week we got our chance! We visited Crooked Lane Brewery just to sample this family owned and operated food truck superstar. The sandwich board menu had some delish options so I'm thankful our party of 6 was able to order the perfect cross section of food. I chose the chicken philly, hubs got the ribs, kids were cheeseburgers all the way. My 75 years young aunt dared to try the jalapeño poppers. We all shared a bit to get a taste of everything. Chicken Philly was pretty darn tatsy. The bread was soft and fresh. I'm usually only a fan of the cole slaw I make but i had to try this bacon cole slaw. It was simply perfect! I would have never thought I would ever utter those words about cole slaw...pigs must be flying somewhere. Cheeseburgers were solid. Definitely a crowd pleaser. Poppers were good. Not the best ever but creamy and just enough kick. Ribs were "off the hook" said my grill master husband. He bbq's about 4 times a week and he can make anything on the grill taste fire!! No pun intended..so if he likes the bbq...I'm in! Great job you guys. Can't wait until next time.

Omgsh this place is da bomb! I went here last week and ordered their combo plate....delish! Their pulled pork is to die for! I couldnt have enough of that Sriracha ranch dip either. Definitely coming for more!

JJ's BBQ is the best in town! No matter what I pick off the menu I'm not disappointed. My favorites are the tri tip sandwich and the salmon burger. On top of the great food, the owners of the truck are fantastic. They are such a friendly family and take the time to make everyone's experience an enjoyable one. I follow them on Facebook now so that I can stay informed on where they'll be during the week. I can't wait to go back for more tasty food and great company!!

Food trucks are probably one of my favorite kinds of food and JJ's Smoke and BBQ has to be among the best I've ever had! I had the opportunity to eat the pulled pork sandwich with the side of the chef's awesome Sriracha chips. The cole slaw served with the pulled pork offered a perfect pairing with its light, yet so flavorful taste profile. The cashews were a pleasant and surprising twist to the slaw. Would highly recommend!

What an experience! Between the succulent chicken, house made chips, and mouthwatering coleslaw I've never had better barbecue at a food truck before. The truck was at a local brewery and it definitely satiated my hunger pangs! Definitely a must try.

Yep the jury is still in JJ's Smoke N BBQ rocks it with the BBQ....my family and I love this place and enjoy following them on Facebook to see where they are going on the weekends. The owners are super nice folks and take BBQ very serious. For me they get whats right about BBQ The Meat! So don't waste time looking around the 916 for great BBQ because there really isn't. Instead look up these guys on Facebook and find out there next stop...Oh and BTW I forgot to mention one of the best parts they are always at great breweries in the local area like Goat House Brewing, Out of Bounds, Final Gravity, Moonraker and Knee Deep Brewing...which our families favorite is Goat House for not only the beers but the overall laid back chill environment there. So look up JJ's, pile the family in your transport vehicle and go relax at one of these breweries...doesn't get much better than BBQ and ice cold brew.

I was looking forward to eating at this truck again (last time they had almost run out of everything, but the food was still decent), but when we got to Moksa last night at 7pm, they were already completely closed down, drinking beer in the brewery. Very disappointed that they couldn't stay open later.

I paid good money for boiled ribs, absolutely no smoke ring and the pit was completely cold so it was not even being used, I guess it was just there for looks. Very disappointed. If you have a nice pit then why are you not using it?

I cannot comment on the food, because I never got any. Was at brew pub in Auburn and ordered some garlic fries. It took 15 minutes to order, 1st in line at window. There seemed to be some disorganization and no one could take order..."We'll be right with you".After ordering, waited 25 minutes and no fries. Went back to window to inform them and was not given any information or food. 10 minutes later, went back to get refund, but there was a line and no one could take an order..."We'll be right with you". So I walked away from my fries and 7 dollars. Maybe it was just a bad day.
