Jimmy's Peruvian & Mexican Restaurant

Don't let the neighborhood fool you!!!! It's worth it! The food was absolutely a 5! We had the Aji de Gallina (shredded chicken in a unique creamy yellow sauce) Birria tacos (with crispy cheese and a thick, almost gravy like dipping sauce) and Lomo Saltado (beef in a delicious, mouth watering sauce). There is a walk up counter with cafe style seating. There was a steady flow of customers in the middle of the afternoon on a Monday which says something. The chef kindly answered my questions about Peruvian food. I'm excited to try some of his other recommendations like the ceviche. We will be back soon and plan to work our way through the menu.

Don't walk run, this is my favorite Peruvian food place. The atmosphere is clean and staff is always friendly , goes and beyond to make you feel comfortable. The food is always outstanding, my favorite meal to get is the pollo saltado paired the Peruvian hot sauce. One night I had a craving for my favorite dish , they were closing so I called ahead and the nice gentleman waited for me. Please give them a try and support local , small business.

Ok, I am not an expert on Peruvian food...I had it a bunch when I was on the east coast but not so much on this coast.I will say at the chip bar there is a habanero salsa that is straight up no joke. It's hot but addicting. When I first tried it. I was like oh I was not ready for that but throughout my meal I kept going back to it because it was really good. They also had this avocado salsa that I really liked. It. Helped like cut the burn. I just came in for a quick bite because I've been meaning to try this place for a long time. I just never really got the chance because I'm never in this area but we split the lomo Saltado and we are still pretty full. Really tender good pieces of beef in a wine sauce with rice and fries. Solid. I really maybe want to try some of the other stuff on the menu. They had a really big menu which I guess would be my only complaint and I know that's a weird thing to complain about, but I was looking all over the wall online and the paper menu they had. None of it really aligned so I just picked what I thought looked good. Luckily, it was really good.The spot is like the definition of hole in the wall but one of those places you really need to check out because they have super solid flavor.

Hole in the wall Peruvian Mexican restaurant. I ate lunch here with my boss about two months ago and have been eager to go back. When you walk inside, you go to the counter to place your order and the tables are self seating. The interior is outdated but don't let that fool you from their delicious food. My boss and I ordered the lomo saltado and chicken saltado. It was DELICIOUS! The dishes were so flavorful and the amount that you get is fair for the price that you pay (although it is a bit on the expensive side). Look no further if you are in the mood for Peruvian food. This place will not disappoint!

Today we ordered Causa Rellena, Jalea de Pescado, and Carmelized Plantain for delivery through the yelp app. This was my first taste of these dishes and first time at Jimmy's. The Salsa Criolla! I ate it like a salad it was fantastic!The delivery was fast. The food was fresh and delicious! These dishes are definitely going to be a favorite.

Stopped in for a late lunch today and it just happened to be Happy Hour! Lots of good stuff on there and they also have daily specials. We tried 4 dishes today and they were all delicious! There was also a chips and salsa bar. The creamy green sauce was my favorite. We will stop in again the next time we're in the area!The location of the restaurant is a bit sketchy but the food was definitely worth it.

Yummmm, ordered through door dash.Lomo soltado, seafood with rice and civeche. Everything was good and tasty. Its a little pricey but its worth it.Would like to come back and dine in next time for different experience but all in all door dash experience was good.Thank you

My favorite restaurant! I come here often and I have not one complaint! The food is always cooked and seasoned perfectly. Delicious and fresh Peruvian food! They are so kind and will go above and beyond for you.
