Jim Denny's is exactly what I want in a burger stand/diner. They have one row of seating inside and when the weather is good the outside patio is open as well. They're great for dine in or take out and if you choose to dine in and sit at the counter you will be treated to great food and a chance to talk with the owner and other customers.I opted to order take out but ordered there and sat at the counter while I waited. The owner, N'Gina, made small talk with me and the other customers and you could tell many of them were regulars.I talked to the people sitting next to me while I waited and learned that the chicken tenders were their favorite (so glad I ordered some). It really feels like a hole in the wall burger stand, but the food is elevated and not your typical greasy and fried fast food. The burger was our favorite part- delicious meat and a fluffy bun with the right ratio of toppings. The chicken sandwich was also great, but if you're craving chicken the chicken tenders on their own are lovely. They're cooked perfectly and are light, crunchy and flavorful.I also loved the Caesar salad! It was so good and I'd order that and the burger next time. The fries are also solid and I love that they offer Brussel sprouts! We also got an Arnold Palmer and sweet tea to pair with our meal and I love that they make them in house.I will 100% be back again and I'm excited to try more from the menu.

On the way to Tahoe we stopped by Jim Dennys for lunch and will definitely be our go-to stop from now on! The burgers were delicious, well-flavored and juicy. The salad was yummy thanks to cornbread croutons and well fried chicken. And the pancakes were fluffy and packed with cinnamon! The best part was that the owner, N'Gina, provided amazing service. She was friendly, amazing with our kids, and magically conjured up four seats for all of us. Great service, warmth and efficiency, delicious food- what more could you ask for??

Came here right before they closed Saturday. So we ordered to go. The costumer service was great. The place certainly had that great old diner feel. I got Mac and Cheese, onion rings, cornbread, and a double American burger (no bacon or pickles). All of it was pure perfection. Best onion rings I've had. The Mac and cheese had great flavor. Cornbread was the perfect flavor and texture. The burger had great flavor in the patty and overall.

What a cute spot for a delicious burger!! I have never visited before. So happy I did! We sat at the old fashioned bar. Super friendly service by owner, N'Gina. Menu was simple but offered exactly what we went there for! My burger and fries were delicious! Fries extremely fresh and hot! Burger patty was generously sized. Super yummy! I love a woman owned business! Can't wait to go back!

If you know, you know! Just in case you don't, I will explain.. 4th stop on tour and this is definitely a must try spot. It's a small spot, but the taste of the food had big bold flavor!! We enjoyed a chicken/bacon sandwich top with lettuce, pickles and homemade ranch served with a side of fries. (I opted to remove bacon). The owners were very friendly. Take out is available and atmosphere has that diner feel. AMAZING!! No wonder they run out of food be closing. I definitely enjoyed the food.

Came in and had the all American double smash burger and the bird is the word. My lord, they were absolutely incredible. Also, best onion rings you'll ever have. I really wish I took photos to post but honestly I was too hungry. Fortunately I will be returning so I'll take some pics then! Come in and support N'Gina she's so incredibly awesome and her food is the best.

Jim Denny's is an excellent choice. Everything on the menu looks amazing! I had The American, and it was delicious. The burger was fried just right, and it was put together with care. My only complaint is that they gave me only one patty, but I suppose I could have spoken up. The fries are cooked perfectly, salted just right. The counter is nostalgic, I love it! Give this place a try!

I absolutely love this place every time I'm in Sacramento. I try to go at least once. So far, I have only had the burger because the cheeseburger is one of the best I have ever eaten! I have sent many of my coworkers to eat over there and I'm being told that the codfish sandwich is incredible so that's next on my list. I will say I'm a little disappointed in the onion rings. They taste good. They're just not as crispy as I would like. You can sit either inside which is small diner counter seating or you can sit outside. There is a patio area with wooden tables and chairs and some umbrellas. I prefer sitting outside on a nice day. Just make sure you are able to grab an umbrella table. the sun gets really hot out there .I think the operating hours need to be updated. My friend went over there on Monday and said they were closed and he was really sad about it.
