Jernigan's Tap House & Grill

Really good place with a nice craft beer offering on tap. We also got 4 different burgers/sandwiches that were also really good. We also started with the Fried Mushrooms and ParmesanFries. Both also very good. Service was great with very nice servers and quick service. Very low key place. We ate outside under their covered patio. We also took our small dog. Which was welcomed outside. Go enjoy a great beer and good food.

Lunch today was DJ's Spicy Chicken Salad for me and the day's special burger with garlic parmesan fries for my spouse. Lunch was good and so was the service. I got a side salad with my sandwich. I'm always surprised by how good the side salads are. I could only eat half of the sandwich, but my husband devoured his entire meal and had a Belching Beaver IPA with it. I recommend this spot, especially if you're looking for interesting beer and tasty food. They have covered outdoor seating, but we opted to sit inside today.

Dive bar vibes but .... don't let that fool ya. Come here for amazing burgers and elote (Mexican street style corn) and wings. The beer selection was also wonderful. I had the better beer glazed burger and a pint of local lager. the crew also ordered a bunch of wings. Easy parking, good food, friendly locals, and a great selection of beer. ( no hard alcohol - only beer and wine) Will come back

Tonight was our third time trying this place. I do like the concept. There is a cute little bar and a decent area outside to sit. Beer selection is decent. Food....can be so much better. I asked for garlic parmesan fries with Kraut dog and got regular fries instead. Nashville chicken sandwich had no Nashville sauce on it as it was described on the menu. It tasted like burnt paprika. Regular fries were soggy. After bringing food., server did not check back until we were done. She was the only one working along with the bartender. It feels awkward to sit there and stare at wrong item that was served when rest of your food is getting cold and no server is in sight. Also.. I like dogs and like restaurants that allow us to bring dogs to eat.. but please.. If you are going to allow a puppy to lick your hand, do not serve food or drinks without washing your hands. Quality of food is poor and service is ok. I do not think I can recommend this place yet for a decent meal.

I apologize ahead of time for this nasty review but... Service was quick right when we arrived. Table, high chair, beers... a few mins for waters and an order. I know we arrived during a rush but it took nearly 2 hours for our food to arrive! I ordered a veggie burger sub mushrooms with a salad. She ordered 2 hot dogs, side avocado, side veggie patty, side fried pickle chips. We had to go in and ask for our food. Then ask for our food to go. Then the food gets delivered to our table and they forgot the hotdogs completely yet charged us for them. Luckily the server removed from our bill. Later when km home and actually get to eat my meal I notice a spider embedded into the bun of my mushroom veggie burger. Ugh. Never going back.

Firstly, the fries are always excellent. Pro-tip is to leave the box open on your drive home if you order takeout-- that way the moisture escapes and the fries stay perfectly crispy. I often get the side salad as well, it's a=a pretty small portion that comes with some varied veggies and a side of your pick of tasty dressings-- ranch is my go-to. I always get the veggie burger as it is the only vegetarian option, despite a pretty ample menu. The veggie burger itself is OK. The brioche bun is good, but the bell peppers usually have a strange flavor so I leave them off. The burger itself is a bit bland and dry, it sucks all the moisture out of my mouth and I usually load it up with sauces in order for it to taste good. The garlic aioli is excellent and I recommend ordering an extra side for your fries. A solid place to order takeout from if you're in a pinch, the ambiance is too loud and bustling to have a conversation in and not many options for dietary restrictions, which is understandable for a place primarily focusing on burgers.

The service was good and the food was fast. First time here. It hit the spot after a hike and is one of the few places open later. The quantity of food made sense for the plate, but it just wasn't the pulled pork sandwich for me. Their lemonade was wonderful and I love that they have some games running on the tv's.

Small but cozy place, with an amazing customer service. We were looking for a place to have a quick bite after skiing all day and it was a nice surprise to find this restaurant on our way. Food is great, great drinks on tap to choose from, and our favorite part is how friendly and easy staff were. It has this feel good small restaurant/bar.

I like to travel/road trip 1-2 +/- hours, looking for a great burgerJernigan's is Just over an hour drive from Folsom, Ca, located in Nevada City Ca. I will eat here again. Small, cozy, outside seating, maybe 10 seats at the bar. Giants - Dodgers game on. Come as you are ambiance. I enjoyed the Jernigan's burger, $18, with fresh, mixed greens, side salad, a pint of craft beer,$7Lettuce, tomato, red onion, 1000 island comes on the burger, but I had just tomato mayo, mustard, cheddar chees. Tasty, juicy, BIG. One of the better burgers I have had...Small, but good, selection of craft beer. Serve flights of beers.First shift bartender/waiter friendly, nice young man... Owner friendly, went the extra mile to see I had a good experience...A good place to go to get out of heat, and enjoy a great beer and tasty fresh food..

I had been hearing Jernigan's was a great place for a burger and wings and had been trying to get there for about six months. Well...it finally happened yesterday. I ordered and picked up lunch for the staff of our company which is just the other side of 49 from Jernigan's. WOW...what a fool I have been to have delayed so long, Jernigan's is outstanding. The owner and his wife were super friendly, the patrons were laughing and having a good time, and the food was Off The Charts fabulous. The burgers, fries, wings were way beyond what was hoped for and wow...all burgers were cooked perfectly to order...no small feat. The chicken sandwich was awesome. And the unexpected treat was the quality of the salads, what pub has salads like that? The greens were undoubtedly sourced from smaller farms, probably local, and the dressings were made in house. Honestly, The French Laundry could learn about making salads from Jernigan's. Oh...and the onion rings were insane. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I look forward to coming back after work to try some of the local beers.
