Jang Goon at 9671 E Stockton Blvd, Elk Grove, CA 95624 will be my first review of 2025.Talk about a small, family run restaurant, this place is great. Clean, and has nicely laid out tables.I came there with my son and 8 year old granddaughter to try various items. My granddaughter really liked the Uden chicken soup and the teryaki chicken. I tried their Sugar Daddy sushi roll which was excellent. I also had their Korean vegetable soup which was absolutely amazing. The rice was cooked perfectly. Our server, Jaden, was very attentive, polite and professional. She really made us feel welcomed and did a superior job.The selection of Japanese sodas, imported alcohol, was excellent. I talked to a group who was eating at another table and they had nothing but praise for this restaurant as they were regular customers.Pricing is fair but if you order too much the bill can be a bit steep.Everyone in my group enjoyed the food and experience. My granddaughter gave it a thumbs up.The sushi chef was a master at his craft. The chef in the back who made our soups/chicken was really gifted. So, is it worth going too? Absolutely!Am I going to highly recommend this place! You Bet!

Little hidden restaurant in this shopping center and it's located in the corner and a small place. Service was a bit slow due to understaffed but server let us know beforehand which was great. Food came out fresh and really good. Soup had a lot of flavor and decently sized. Would recommend Checking it out.

The restaurant offers a nice variety of sushi, Korean barbecue, and other classic dishes, as seen in the photos. The sushi presentation was well-done, especially the sushi boat, which was visually stunning but lacked the wow factor in taste. The Korean dishes, like the kimchi fried rice with an egg on top and the bulgogi, were satisfying but felt fairly standard compared to similar spots. The seafood pancake was crispy and flavorful but again, not particularly memorable. We came here for a special occasion, hoping for something exceptional, but it fell short of our expectations. While the food was good, it didn't leave much of an impression on any of us. The meal was enjoyable, but given the occasion, we left feeling a bit underwhelmed. It's a solid spot for casual dining, but not the standout experience we were hoping for.

Superb service and delicious food! My friend and I ordered the tofu bibimbap and Korean ramen with regular spice level. The ingredient of the bibimbap was fresh and flavorful and the gochujang sauce complimented well with it. My friend enjoyed her ramen and thought it was delicious. The waitress was very kind and sweet and was very attentive. Happy to see they also have a vegetarian roll section on their menu. Will definitely try their other vegetarian items next time!

I have been to jang goon multiple times. I had the kimchi soonduboo and it was good. The soup had a decent amount of tofu and pork. However, I asked the waitress if the soup comes with an egg and it doesn't. This is the first Korean place I've been to that does not come give a raw egg with my soonduboo. I was quite sad.Bento box - 8/10. The tonkatsu was the perfect amount of crispy. The tuna nigiri was just okay 7/10. It was not as fresh as the other times I've had here. The staff is friendly and nice. Overall, would come back just not very often.

Delayed review but we went here for dinner last Friday, everything was delicious. I loved the spicy jang goon roll and the beef tofu stew. I'll definitely be back and happy to get both items again. I'm also curious about other menu items but I really enjoyed both of these. Service was great, very attentive and fast. It was also spacious and clean inside.

Order in for the second time. I ordered a dragon roll and a bunch of Korean dishes. First off with the money I paid for the kimchi stew is a rip off. The soup is basically one serving, maybe two if you're willing to share. The Beef bulgogi was disappointing, it didn't taste good. The Korean pancake was mediocre and they forgot the dipping sauce. The only thing that was good, was the sushi roll. I'm a little disappointed and was hoping that a second chance would make a difference. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back here.

Came here for dinner an hour or so before the closed on a Friday night. I love this place and I'm so happy we tired it out! It's definitely in a very popular and busy area but it seems to be more a whole in the wall type of deal. As soon as we entered. We were greeted immediately. Seating is kinda limited inside I would say about 6-8 tables. Joyce was our server and she was so sweet! The menu is amazing. So many options. From sushi, to teriyaki bowls, noodles, etc. I ordered the veggie noodles and they were delicious! And also the California roll. My husband got the firecracker roll or something like that, and it legit came out wrapped in foil and on fire! And also the spicy Big Mac roll. He loved both of them. Can't wait to come back! Highly recommend

We ordered rolls and appetizers The rolls were very tasty but smaller than we expected the things that I will have to remember next time are 1: order more rolls...they were delicious, but notfilling enough. At least not tonight lol2: MORE IMPORTANTLY ...be sure to let them know that it is not agood idea to put all rolls in one container. My son has a seafood allergy and some of the rolls had shrimp and crab. We ended up getting him a burger. We will most likely be back, but definitely will need to remind them to keep the rolls in separate containers ifwe order to go

I came in about an hour before closing last Thursday and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff who sat me down right away. I had looked at the menu prior to coming in so I didn't take long to look at the menu and ordered the Dwaeji Bulgogi 돼지불고기.It was perfectly tender, juicy, and very tasty. As well as the banchan(sides).I spoke with Chae for awhile about the other items on the menu, and had a nice discussion about KDramas I'll definitely be coming back here ASAP.
